I needed a drink after almost choking on this poor excuse of a franchise & the drink fountain wasn’t even working. To the owner standing with your arms crossed, Maybe pick up the phone and fix your machine! And yes it will cost you something!

The hours at this location are pretty crummy. They close super early during the week and the hours they have posted never match the real hours. They are also closed on the weekends! The cashiers are not the friendliest and they also have made it a HASSLE to use coupons.

Ordered online and drove from Costa Mesa to Irvine because they don’t have any locations near me. I got there at 7:45 and it was CLOSED, but online it says they don’t close until 9… Such a waste of time.

Love the salads. I go here often on my lunch break. Very reasonable price for a side salad with chicken. Mango salsa is so good and fish tacos.

Not their fault, but depending the time of day it’s impossible to park in the tiny parking lot that Baja Fresh shares. They do take a while to get the food out too.

I placed an online order for what said a «Chicken Nacho Burrito.» Get to the restaurant. Burrito doesn’t have chicken. Umm… huh? I’m told, «yeah our system has an error. It’s $ 2 for chicken.» What? Sorry but no, the online system that I used said the burrito came with chicken… so please add chicken. The lady was EXTREMELY rude. I’m not as upset about it not having chicken as I am with how she handled herself. Completely dismissive and just rude. It isn’t my fault the «system» has an error and I shouldn’t be penalized for it.
Won’t be back at this location!

I got the shrimp quesadilla to go as my coworker said it was really good. I never really pictured cheese and shrimp together.
It wasn’t half bad, a bit pricey because it is shrimp, but what lowered the rating was the crazy wait time. Took about 25 mins for me to get my order! The female employee working kept on telling me that it’s coming, mines next, but apparel not. After receiving my order, I only 15 mins to eat. The quesadilla wasn’t anything special, just your average jack cheese and shrimp.
The salsa bar definately needs to be wiped down during rush hour too– just because it gets busy doesn’t mean you should allow your glass to be crazy salsa-​stained and some condiments being empty.

Food is good, parking is always a hassle in the very small parking lot. Try not to go M-​F between 11:30 –1:30 always a long line.

The lady at the cash register eas very nice. She had a great sense of humor and personality.
The food was good as usual.
My only reason for only giving it 3 stars instead of 5 was because the restaurant seemed a little dirty around the salsa bar and soda machine. Similar to what you might see during a busy lunch hour except it wasn’t busy at all.
The 3 stars is for the food and cashier lady.

I typically don’t rate fast food places. But this little place is an exception! Wanted a quick bite for dinner on a weeknight near closing time. Had a coupon and figured it’s sustenance being in a food court. We ordered the 3 seafood taco plate & shrimp lime salad. Wow, It was freshly made and large portions; tasted excellent! The lady working the register was very nice and accommodating. With the coupon, it was a great value! Would’ve given it 5 stars if there was more kale in the salad. Definitely will go back to this location!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again– too many people expect too much from fast food! You’re not going to get gourmet if your order is ready in 5 minutes. Ugh! Ok now on to my actual review:
I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was here! I was looking for something healthy (or should I say healthier than a greasy burger) and fresh! I ordered Chicken Fajitas with pinto beans. The portion was very large! I wasn’t able to finish a lot of it so I’ll be having a snack later this evening. Everything was cooked fresh and you can tell! It tasted so yummy! I’d say this place is a close runner up to Chipotle and that means a lot coming from me. I’m their #1 fan!
I loved that they had a «lite» lemonade option since I’m always adding a little water to mine. The salsa bar was amazing! It was super clean which is the first thing I notice when I look at salsa bars. If it’s dirty, I don’t want any but since it was immaculately clean I got 3 servings.
The only downer about this place is the parking. Blah! Parking is very limited since it’s located in a food court and people always seem to be such rude drivers in this area. No other complaints though.
On my receipt I got a $ 2 off next purchase for taking a survey so I’ll be back for sure– with or without the coupon!

The fish taco’s are delicious! The girl who took my order was so nice and in a happy mood! She not only took my order but was very nice to me and asked me how my day was going. Yes that is a little «basic» but people dont do that anymore! A+ for food A++ for service.

The food is pretty bland, but them again you can’t expect much from a Baja Fresh. The location is okay, situated in the middle of a small food court, but parking can get pretty bad during lunch time.
The staff here isn’t that great. I usually get the same rude lady as my cashier and twice now she’s gotten my order wrong.
Pretty meh overall, but it’s walking distance from my work so I might be back. We shall see…

A great location, and often busy, as it’s one of the cheaper options around. Super clean restaurant, good fresh food, limited parking.

They don’t listen well 2 out of 4 orders were incorrect. Carnitas and shrimp are not the same thing. The special shrimp and the classic shrimp aren’t the same either.
One order was taken back to be corrected and they corrected both orders, no charge, and gave us a free combo meal for a return visit.
Fairly prompt on the prep. Tasted good regardless.
Kudos for taking care of the problem.

I’m sad that Baja Fresh Mexican Grill doesn’t get a whole lot of love from the locals. Our recent dining experience here was a positive one. My husband and I came here for lunch over the weekend and thought for a chain Mexican restaurant the food is pretty delicious!
I ordered the Mango Chipotle Chicken Salad and my husband ordered the Trio Taco Combo. My salad came with a flour tortilla shell filled to the max with Romaine lettuce, grilled chicken, sliced avocado, Cotija cheese, mango salsa and chipotle vinaigrette dressing on the side. So many different flavors and textures, my taste buds were going nuts.
Prior to coming here I was well aware that the food would not be authentic and the quality would be mediocre at best. We wanted a quick bite to eat before running errands. We were both pleasantly surprised by the generous portions and how fresh the ingredients tasted.
Quick service. Inexpensive. Decent salsa bar. Somewhat aloof staff.

Not only was I rushed by this rude cashier when no one was behind me, nor the food court was busy overall, but the cook is cleaning and sweeping the floor while he cooks my burrito. Disgusting!

The location is convinient to the nearby office buildings, but it’s a bit too packed to be enjoyable. The service was just OK — nothing outstanding about this place. I recommend to try their new shrimp bowl.

Otherwise, a good go– to spot for something filling with a high caloric intake! LOL
