I had a breast reduction and am thrilled with the results. His entire staff is friendly and professional and I was comfortable through the entire process. They worked with my insurance carrier and I had the surgery covered by insurance (huge plus although I would have done it anyways).
Since having my surgery I have told several people and from others in the medical field I have repeatedly heard «yes, he is the best». Even my nurse at the surgery center confided in me that she had had reconstructive surgery after cancer and when I asked her who her doctor was — she whispered «Andrew Smith, same as you».
Highly recommend him and his practice.

To any of you that are looking for a great PS, look no further. Dr Smith is very professional, caring and has very high credentials, as well as a good reputation within the medical community. He also has great bedside manner. His office is nice and all his staff is professional and kind. I had a BA done on May 13^th and am loving my results so far. I do know that I’m in the very early stages of recovery, but so far so good. I wanted an enhancement that looks natural and that fits my body frame. And that’s what I got. I can’t wait to see how they develop down the line. My full experience from pre-​op, surgery and post-​op appointments have all been great. I would highly recommend Dr Smith to anyone.

I was looking for a surgeon to reconstruct my ear lobes. I had stretched them to ⁵⁄₈ of an inch. Yikes! They were big! I also was looking to get botox injections in my palms due to my hyperhidrosis. (Abnormally excessive sweating. I unfortunately have it the worst in my hands and being a makeup artist that is a terrible thing to have to deal with). I came across Dr. Smith and saw the amazing reviews and so I called that day to schedule a consultation. The office was so warm and inviting! The consult went well. Dr. Smith made me feel extremely comfortable and explained what both procedures would be like and what to expect during and after. He answered all my questions thoroughly. After our consult I knew he was the one that I wanted to do my procedures. I came back two weeks later and was extremely nervous. I had had my ears stretched for 10 years so it was bittersweet to have them sewn up. But I knew it would help my professional career. I was taken back to the procedure room and Dr. Smith came in and explained the procedures to me again and answered more questions I had. Both procedures went very well. Dr. Smith is amazing at what he does. I get compliments all the time how nice my ears look and when I tell them I had them sewn up they don’t believe me because they look so good! And for anyone who has or knows someone who has excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) please know that there is something to help it. I know personally how embarrassing it can be to have to wipe your hand off before you shake someone’s hand, how embarrassing it is to leave wet marks on paper when you’re writing, worrying if you’re hands are going to slip off the steering wheel because they’re dripping with sweat, the list goes on. It sucks and it’s debilitating. Getting the botox injections in my palms was the best thing I’ve ever done. Its given me such confidence. So thank you Dr. Smith for giving me the confidence to take on the world. :)

Great eyebrow tattooing! Valerie Gilbert is a very experienced and professional in hair stroke eyebrow tattooing, great service, I really really love my new eyebrows, they look so natural and real. Not one person thought it was tattooing. I look like my eyebrow hairs have grown back!

Dr. Smith is the best!
I had upper eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty) 10 days ago and cannot believe how easy this has been! Recovery has been a piece of cake, minimal bruising and very little swelling, no pain at all. My incision lines are absolutely perfect, you can barely see them. I am VERY happy with the results already!

After seven consults for BA, I selected Dr. Smith for several reasons. He trained at some of the top medical centers in the nation, he is board certified, his reputation within the medical and patient community is strong, his practice focuses on both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures, his character is solid, and I found him to be a kind soul.
Dr. Smith is a skilled surgeon. He is confident and keeps up with the latest evidence-​based practice. I asked specific questions during my consultation, such as how many BAs he had performed, how long he has been out of training, what his revision rates were, and what dissection technique he used. Dr. Smith answered all of the questions without any ego attached. That is important. I also called the surgery center that he works out of and spoke to the front line staff. They had nothing but remarkable things to say about him.
At every touch point with Dr. Smith and his entire team, I felt as though I was a valued patient and that they were truly mindful about my journey. Dr. Smith’s team, they rock. The front and back office team was professional, efficient, and very responsive. I loved that they all knew me by name and I was very comfortable sharing with them my needs. There is no doubt in my mind and without any hesitation; I would choose Dr. Smith all over again. I offer my warm regards and Mahalo to Dr. Smith, Katrina, Kathy, Jessica, and Rebecca.

I was recommended to Dr. Smith by another doctor for a cancer-​related surgery. I had spoken with the anesthesiologist (who was very kind) about an allergy/​sensitivity I had to a certain medication, which he relayed to Dr. Smith. Dr. Smith completely discounted what I had said, saying it was not possible to have an allergy to that medication and that I didn’t know what I was talking about. They were standing just beyond my bed, totally within earshot so I heard him quite clearly. It was highly disrespectful and condescending, not to mention not the kind of thing you want to hear your doctor say right before surgery. I may not be a doctor, but I know when I have a reaction to something. How you treat someone as a person is just as important as your medical treatment of them. Would never return to him or recommend him to anyone.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Smith and his staff. His demeanor is kind, warm and unflappable. His office and appearance are immaculate. Ultimately, the most important things I can recommend are his technical skills and artistry.
I am a breast cancer survivor who sought his help with bilateral mastectomies with immediate reconstruction. Everything went very smoothly, until I contracted an infection about 5 weeks post-​surgery. It complicated my results due to significant scar tissue on one side. He has helped to make both sides even through revisions. Today, I had my last procedure, fat-​grafting, to fine-​tune my results.
It just struck me today how very lucky I am to have found him. He never gave up on helping me feel whole and complete again. He and his nurse, Kathy, have been blessings in my life beyond measure. I can’t speak highly enough about Dr. Smith.

Fantastic doctor — warm & friendly office! I came to Dr. Smith for a second reconstruction after my first reconstruction surgery (with a different surgeon) post mastectomy did not turn out as I expected. Going through breast cancer is a very scary process — you quickly find not all doctors or their staff have a good bedside manner. It was surprising to me how I felt so lost in the shuffle sometimes — especially during a time when it helps to feel like someone understands what you are going through. Dr. Smith’s office was very different from my first reconstruction experience. He, as well as his office staff, were immediately warm, friendly and very understanding. They really took the time to explain things and guide me through their reconstruction process. Their nurse practitioner is wonderful. That’s all that can be said about that. My goal after my mastectomy was not to look perfect, but to feel somewhat like myself again — it’s the little things. Honestly, my first results with the previous doctor were so underwhelming, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this surgery. I kept my expectations in check for fear I was setting myself up for disappointment. However, the post op results with Dr. Smith far exceeded anything I could have ever imagined. The reconstruction turned out beautifully! This was very much a positive experience for me. I would easily recommend this office to others opting for breast cancer reconstruction. If I learned anything throughout all this, if you’re not happy with your original doctor get a second opinion/​referral — I am TRULY glad I did. I cannot thank Dr. Smith and his staff enough for helping me gain back a little bit of myself emotionally… and physically :). It means a lot. A big hug from me to all of you.

Not sure why my review was kicked to the not recommended reviews?! But Dr. smith is amazing! I had 38HH breasts and was so eager to relieve my back pain and all that goes with large breasts. I was heading to Dr. Smith for a consultation recommended by my Breast Cancer Surgeon Dr. Nora Evans .My Wife and I were Pretty Nervous about what would be happening. His Whole Staff is so caring. Can’t say enough about his Nurse Kathy who assist him in his breast Cancer Reconstruction Surgeries right after Dr. Evans does the BI-​Lateral Mastectomy Surgery. I wanted so badly after the Mastectomy to have Dr. Smith and Kathy do the reconstruction w Muscle over Implant. They said they would try their best but wouldn’t know if they could until the surgery. I did not want to wake up with the spacers and then go back 6 weeks or so later for the implant surgery. He knew this was very important to me to have it done same time and I was so happy to wake up to THEIR SUCCESS. They have a special place in our hearts… Their Surgeries are something that they take pride in and it shows. Today was my last visit with them. They are a special Team. My fiancée and I learned of Dr. Smith through a friend whom I workout with. This friend raved about her experience with Dr. Smith and his staff; their professionalism, friendliness, caring nature and, very important, their bedside manner.
We did a good deal of research before selecting our plastic surgeon, which included not only internet research, but two other consultations. In that research, we found that there are many associations a doctor may belong to which have high standards for admission. We found that Dr. Smith is a member in the best of them. We also learned that we should ask a lot of questions before making our final decision. Dr. Smith and Katrina took on all of our questions with ease, never making us feel like the high number of questions got annoying, and taking the time to ensure we had full understanding before moving on. All of our questions may have cut into someone else’s appointment time. We believe that when it comes to surgery, one should leave nothing to chance, and we were happy to know that we could expect others to expect the same amazing consideration we received. My wife is very in touch with her intuition and we both felt very comfortable moving forward after our consultation.
The pre-​operation consultation was very thorough and furthered our ease with the decision to move forward, and the post-​operation conversations and appointments have gone magnificently, as well. Between appointments, my better half has called in to Dr. Smith’s office with occasional questions, which have been answered in timely and very considerate manner. Our appointments have all been a breeze, and if I may say so, the work Dr. Smith performed on my fiancée looks awesome!
Dr. Smith and his team have gone above and beyond to ensure that we, and our friend and her husband have had a beautiful experience. We do not believe we could have made a better choice, and we will recommend them to anyone, anywhere who is considering having any form of reconstructive procedure.

Dr. Smith and his staff were professional and caring during my several visits as I went through breast reconstruction. Not only is Dr. Smith skilled in his profession, he is very compassionate. His staff as well from the receptionist to the nurses are caring, professional, and thorough. I’m so grateful I chose Dr. Smith and his staff for my journey through breast cancer. I drove one hour to Irvine to get a consultation with the Andrew Smith. I got there one hour early in case of traffic. I filled out twenty pages of unnecessary pages and then I went into the room and talked to this girl who told me to take my top off and wear a gown. I waited in the room for half an hour looking at the empty walls. I opened the door and asked the receptionist where is the doctor? She said, he is coming and I waited another five minutes and then I decided to leave and left.

LADIES, Please don’t let anyone disrespect you. I value myself and my time and I’ll never ever let anyone treat me the way this asshole did.

So, I guess I’ll just start at the beginning. I wanted a breast lift with augmentation and I didn’t have a clue who to see or where to even start looking. I started to Google different Doctors in Orange County and Unilocal and narrowed it down to 2 Doctors. The first Doctor didn’t make me feel like he would be able to achieve the look I was looking for based on my breast size and I didn’t feel he would be competent for my procedure. It almost seemed as though he was just telling me what I wanted to hear and I didn’t like that. Dr. Smith’s office and staff made me feel comfortable, answered all my questions and made financial arrangements to fit my budget.
My surgery was performed on April 23^rd 2013 in the surgical suite in his office building and his crew was spectacular. Obviously, I was very nervous and scared the day of the surgery, but the staff was so comforting and knowledgeable that it put me right at ease.
When I woke up, the surgical staff was standing by my side with a smile on their faces along with Dr. Smith who said, «your’e going to be very happy».
Needless to say I am extremely happy with the results and it was well worth it. The results are very natural and he was able to achieve the look that I was looking for!
Not only is Dr. Smith an amazing surgeon, but his staff has been phenomenal as well. I would recommend him for any plastic surgery procedure in a heartbeat!
P. S. He looks like a GQ model, which makes my follow up visits very delightful.

I’m a very particular person and like to do a lot of research before making any decisions especially as important as surgery. I went to 6 plastic surgeons before deciding on Dr. Smith. He came highly recommended to me from my twin mom’s club as well as an actual Dr. friend of mine.
I had to get a tummy tuck after having my twins as well as breast augmentation. This was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Dr. Smith did a phenomenal job! He’s professional, kind, and very gifted. My experience with him and his staff was wonderful and I recommend him highly to all my family & friends.

I was sent to Dr Smith by my doctor to get a birthmark on the side of my face removed sort of by my ear/​hairline (its called a nevus sebaceous… you can google it, sort of gnarly). Anyways… the entire staff was absolutely amazing. Before every appointment i got several notices (text messages, email, etc) to confirm my appointment. I had three appointments… one consultation… a pre op and then the surgery (today). The surgery went really awesome. I was asleep through it, but woke up surprisingly refreshed. My surgery wasn’t as major as more cosmetic surgeries that I’m sure are more painful, but considering he basically cut a chunk out of the side of my head… My face looks completely normal. There’s not any pulling on my face at all. I have ZERO pain and i’m not on any pain meds. The facility that I had the surgery done in had loads of really friendly nurses that put me at ease and made things like having a needle IV put in my hand a lot less disturbing. He told me before the surgery that i might have a little vertical scar where my birthmark was, but I am not at all concerned compared to what it was. I’m just happy my face looks like nothing was even done to it. I’m sort of shocked that other than the tape on the dressing… i feel ZERO discomfort. I would recommend Dr. smith to anyone needing to get reconstructive surgery. Thank you!

Dr. Smith and his office staff are AMAZING!!! The office is really nicely decorated and the staff is really nice and make you feel comfortable. I had a tummy tuck after losing close to 100lbs and am only 3 weeks out and healing great. My scar is very minimal especially having an extended tummy tuck, his work is beautiful. His bedside manner makes you feel comfortable and in having invasive procedures to me this is very important. He is very knowledgeable and I will recommend him to anyone looking to have any procedures and will be back under the knife with him when I can afford the breast lift and implant I want. For now i will enjoy my amazing flat tummy and continue to check in with him during my healing process.
