I have been to nicer Walgreens —this one seems drab and a little messy compared to others. It is one of the few stores by my work that I can get a variety of items at. Health and Beauty supplies, light groceries, gifts, cards, items for your car and home. It really is a one-stop shop. They typically always have some seasonal merchandise. The prices are fair and you can save more by signing up for the frequent shopper program. I just enter my phone number upon checkout.

The employees at this Walgreens were incredibly helpful. I stopped in to pick up some forgotten toiletries and walked away with more than I intended to buy, so that makes them good salespeople, too! When the line started to get long, they opened up the cosmetics checkout and the girl working the register informed me that some of the items I was purchasing would be discounted if I picked up another. I may not use that second pack of face wipes soon, but when I do I will remember I got them for half off. Score!

The pharmacy person who helped me was knowledgeable and friendly. I didn’t care for the speech about doing a survey at the end of my transaction though. It felt too much like telemarketing. I get really tired of all the suggestive selling, please take our survey, save 3% on your purchase today if you sign up for our credit card with a 28% interest rate, are you a member of our potato of the month club??? It’s just exhausting. I thought since I was there and it was –20 out I would save myself a trip to the grocery store and pick up a can of Folgers and some other stuff we were out of. The only thing on my list I was able to get was coffee filters — I couldn’t find the Folgers. That was kind of annoying. Especially since I thought Walgreens ran ads saying that you can get all that kind of stuff there. Ergh. I have to say there make-up selection there is really good. I can never get out of that place without buying something to appease my inner girly girl. This time it was organic carrot flavored lip balm. LOVEIT. The checkout area is always confusing. I think because the checkout person is never there when I walk up — I never know where I am supposed to be. And if I am decisive and pick what I think is the spot — I am always wrong. Always. But to be fair I always pick the slow line no matter where I am as well — so that’s probably just me.
