Pretty spot, but the wines were preselected for the most part so I wasn’t a fan of that. May just be my personal preferences, but it’s good to know before you go.

Worst German festival I’ve ever been too. It was a mix between Irish, Renaissance and Oktoberfest. The event planner should take a trip to the real Oktoberfest so they can know what joke this was. Went to taste the wines and one lady had a major attitude!!! I highly recommend you skip this place!!!

I went to Lucas Vineyards Winery on 8÷16÷15 while vacationing in the Finger Lakes. Lucas is the oldest vineyard on that side of the lake I was visiting. The server for the tasting was very knowledgeable about the wines and as well as very professional. I also loved how the vineyard names its wines after the founder’s daughters and has a nautical theme. Lucas is not receiving a 4 star(but a 3 star because of the knowledgeable and professional service) rating because their«brand» was a little confusing to me. The wine selection(fruit, dry, reds) jumped all over the map and frankly none of them stood out to me. I also didn’t love the gift shop. It had way too many chach keys for me that didn’t have anything to do with wine(e.g. football merchandise). In a nutshell, if you happen to be in the area I wouldn’t say to avoid it but wasn’t my favorite when compared to some of the other tasting experiences I had in the area.

Wonderful wines, beautiful views and great service! If you are in the area be sure to stop in. We especially enjoyed the Seyval and the semi dry Riesling, but all wines were really good.

Super friendly staff … the outside is very pretty and lots of fun wines to try! Nautie wines are super fun for the ladies and they have some cool things in the gift shop. They are dog friendly so if you bring the pooches with you they are more than welcome to go in !

This was a great stop! The staff was so welcoming. They really knew their wines. They were also accommodating to my husband and switched out wine in the tasting with something that would fit his liking better. My husband and I both agreed we liked the dry reisling, which is great since we normally like opposite wines! This is a place not to be missed.

This place was recommend to us and sadly was not a hit. The wines are very sweet. They may be good starter wines for young people or others who aren’t used to wine… To me it was nothing to write home about. The gift shop was tacky/kitschy. The staff were over the top(according to the woman pouring our samples, each of their wines was an award winner of some sort) and sloppy(so much spilled wine on the counter… was she drunk maybe?) Lucas gets points for creativity — wine slushies! catchy names! cute bottles! as well as enthusiastic staff and incredibly low priced samples. But if you want to sample good wine, go elsewhere.

Great mix of wines, even with a nice red surprising for this area. Good price for tasting, and staff were generous in their tasting pours, very knowledgeable and friendly about themselves and the area, and proud of the wine and establishment that they are sharing. Fun, friendly open environment, great people, surrounded by beautiful acres of vineyards. The Lucas family and their staff obviously know what they are doing and really enjoy sharing their wines and craft. Highly recommended.

I came here with a group of 8 people while celebrating a friend’s birthday while wine tasting by Cayuga Lake. It was very busy but they had a tent outside with excellent views for big groups. The wines were great and the lady serving our group was friendly and approachable. She was willing to use the special glass my friend had for her birthday. I would definitely come back.

Our second stop on the wine trail. We had to wait a bit for our tasting but worth it, our sever was friendly, knowledgable and engaging. She suggested pairings with food and had just the right amount if personal information about the wines to add in. While not my favorite wines of the day, they are reasonably priced and we did like a couple of them.

Cute place with huge fields around. Not as big as some of the other wineries, but was pretty crowded when we were there. The Tugboat White and Blue were two of my favorites. I didn’t like that the tasting was somewhat pre-selected, but she let me try a few that I wanted anyway. Our staff member was super friendly and very attentive! Get a Nautie sticker before you go.

We stopped by this winery while passing through the Finger Lakes. I liked the winery. The tasting was very generous and informative. I liked most of the wines. The winery was attractive and the staff attentive. They also had a nice little gift area with well-stocked wine related gifts. It’s definitely worth a stop. I took home a bottle of the Tugboat white.

30th anniversary specials on the 30th, again had to mention it, they weren’t spilling the beans or offering up the info. Really good crackers and some dips to try.

This vineyard is a hidden gem on the Cayuga trail. We were told to stop there by another vineyard and we are glad we did. It is one of the top 3 vineyards we visited. We bought a case from here as their dry wines were really good. Their 30th anniversary sparkling was excellent. Our top wines here: 30th Anniversary Sparkling/Brut Cab Franc Limited Reserve Chardonnay — Great daily wine Syrah Limited Reserve Definitely a must stop for the trail but get directions as it is hard to find on the GPS!

Decent wines, cheap prices – both for tastings & bottles, average service. This is an average place – nothing great, nothing terrible. The tastings are cheap, the wines are very inexpensive, the pourer we had was wonderful, but the wines themselves are just so so. The sweet wines are a little cloying. The reds, their specialty, are ok table wines, but nothing amazing. The best thing about them is they are very very affordable. This place might have earned 4 stars, since our pourer really was a gem – but we did have one other major service issue. As we were leaving, we noticed the people ahead of us checking out had to have their order re-rung, because they were charged twice for some things. No biggie, right? Sure enough, when we checked out – same thing. We were rung up twice for several items. The girl checking us out was one of the daughters who own the place – I don’t know if she had just been hitting her wines a little hard or was trying to help out with the college bills, but it left a sour taste in my mouth that that happened twice in a row. All in all, we have other places we like better, but the prices here are very good.

Cute little winery. I was blown away by the tastings…8 for $ 1? Can’t beat that price! They have a lot of great white wines and friendly staff. It was difficult to narrow it down with a take away. I’ll definitely be back to Lucas if I head up to the fingerlakes again.

Great stop on the wine trail. Dana is the perfect blend of knowledgeable and friendly, and guided us through a great tasting. Some sweet(literally) wines here: Lucas Blues, the Naughty series, and Tugboat Red, all great for a summer afternoon. Also some good«serious» reds, for the more mature palette. Fun tasting room atmosphere with some unique gift items. Don’t pass up the flip flops for the wine glasses(you’ll know what I mean when you see them).

I’m writing this review to state how incredibly off Jon B. is. He clearly has no idea what this winery is about. The odds are he has only made a few stops, and is stating what he gathered on his own. «The must taste wines are the „Nautie“ wines that include Miss Adventurous, Miss Behavin’, and Miss Chevious.» The Nautie series are table wines meant for casual dining/drinking. The wineries«must taste» wines list should be started with Tug Boat Red, a RED wine, that has been their flag ship wine since the beginning, winning countless awards from states all over the US. Then you move on into there other long standing ‘serious wines’. The Nautie wines were designed as a fun table wine, it’s definitely not the wine you should be sugguesting if you’re a serious wine lover looking for something that really stands out. The ladies on Miss A, B, and C are Ruthie Crawford, Stephanie Houck, and Ruth Lucas. Ruth Lucas is the owner, Ruthie, and Stephanie, are her daughters and co-owners, who do all the accounting and manage the tasting room etc, working full-time. Which means you’ll see them there every day. The tasting room has a great staff that will point you to the perfect wine for your tastes, Lucas has something for everyone. If you like red wine, white wine, dry wine, something sweet, they have something for you. The last review was extremely poorly informing, minus the first part about the facility, it’s beautiful and has a great view of the lake, a garden, places to sit and picnic, it’s worth the trip just to check out the scenery.
