My first time trying Ethiopian food and it was a positive experience. The owner was very polite and helpful and took the time to explain the various types of foods he offers. At his suggestion I tried the beef stew which was a little spicy(spices not chili) but not over powering and tasty. The vegetables were combination of cabbage carrots and a hint of onions and the other was a type of split pea but not the kind we’re used to here but good. You eat everything with what I can only describe as a cross between a tortilla and bread. It’s used to scoop up the food and absorb the flavor, very unique. Looking forward to trying other dishes next time I’m in the area. I highly recommended this place but don’t go in looking for a big fancy restaurant it’s just your neighborhood clean hole in the wall take out primarily although they did have a few tables set up.

I LOOOOVE this place!!! This is the most authentic Ethiopian food that I have ever had. Its better than any of the places in little Ethiopia(though not as much variety) It is great and tasty. I love the owner. He is very nice and owns the little market with his sister. When I call to put in my order, he recognizes my voice and asks about my day and how I’m doing. The sister is the cook and she is phenomenal, consistent, clean and fast. It is an open kitchen, so you can watch your food being made if you like. Very interesting to see. Please check it out if you like Ethiopian cuisine! It is very IMPORTANT to note that this is takeout food only. It is not a full restaurant. They have a couple chairs but mostly for waiting for your food. Also because there is no formal chef the kitchen closes when the sister is tired and leaves which is normally around 4pm. **I would like to add that part of my motivation for writing this review is that I LOOOVE their food so much, but it is difficult to get. Since no one really knows about the store there are not many orders, so there is not much reason for the sister to stay late. I figure the more customers they have the later the store will be open and I can enjoy it more often.
