This place by far is my favorite! Black owned business in the heart of inglewood! I love being about to spend time in money in my own city! I go at lest once every couple of months! I can wait for them to add more recipes to the menu! My favorite is the shrimp and grits with a side of truffle fries!!! Simply Superb!!! See you in a few!

First timer and everything was delicious. I ordered The Hen and everything was made to order. There was a long wait but it was during the lunch rush.

I love this place! I’ve been coming here for over a year. The servers and the owner(who is in the kitchen) are always so nice and friendly. And the food rocks! Only issue we ever ran into was early on when they had only one server. The poor guy was waiting tables, bussing tables, ringing up the checks — I think he may have even been doing dishes! He was doing it all and it resulted in slow service. But I can’t think of the last time they only had one server on duty(they have a dishwasher too) and the service has been great. This is a small, locally owned business. If you value those kinds of businesses, then this is one to support. Bring quarters for the parking meters — except on Sunday when parking is free.

This review has nothing to do with the food but everything to do with the service. I came here for lunch and arrived at 12 pm. The restaurant was busy and every table was taken except one. The waitress sat me at the outside table. She came outside and took the order for the 2 guys seated at the only other outside table and then said she would be right back to take my order. 20 minutes, yes 20 minutes went by and she never came back. I went inside to find her and said I would like to order and she said I am busy I will be with you in a minute. I went back to my table outside and waited 3 minutes and she never came out and so I left.

This place is great! Breakfast served all day. Good Quality Food, Good Quality ingredients. Nice Place. Good Service. what more can you ask for? They also do burgers and stuff for lunch. But since they do Breakfast all day, who not get breakfast for lunch? that’s what I do. Yes, they have chicken and waffles. But it’s much more than that. And they have good coffee. Don’t be scared because it’s in Inglewood. Actually, the street it’s on in pretty cool. Definitely Worth Checking Out!

It was ok, food wasn’t really hot and service was slow. Very small place so it gets loud all and all food was clean.

This is a fabulous jewel tucked away in the downtown Inglewood area. The service is superb and the pricing is fair. Thank you Linda for accommodating a last minute catering order for my meeting. You sure made a difference. The food was delicious…

This is a cute hole in the wall in Inglewood. I had the shrimp and grits and a side of mac and cheese. Both were amazing. My friend had the special, which was a bacon burger. It was huge and looked amazing, if you eat beef. The wait staff was attentive and super friendly. It’s a small place so it’s not great for groups but ideal for small parties.

I’ve been a few times and each time, it never disappoints. Its a hidden little gem on Market Street. Small and quaint. Not much seating inside and a couple of small tables outside. Breakfast is one of my favorite meals, so I’m always on the hunt for a good café or breakfast spot. This one is close to home and in a nice location(I LOVE Market Street!). Service is good. There are usually one to two servers there at a time, and they are very good about taking care of you! One server(lady) was a little TOO attentive, which can get a little annoying, but at least you’re at arms reach when I need something! But then again, I’m not needy at all… Their andouille sausage is bomb! And I also tried a scrambler that had ham in it. Soooooooo good!!! I haven’t gotten a chance to try anything on their lunch menu, but I’ve seen a few plates walking by that looked amazing!!!

Had to post this review before I left this establishment. This place is clean, the food is super fresh and our server, Jay is the ! Once again, Unilocalers have hit the nail on the head! I love this community! I will definitely be back here, next time I’m in California! PS. Jay never let my coffee cup get half empty!

Ubestbelieveit! I love culture, it enriches life. I love me some black folks in my rainbow. I feel sorry for the racist/judgy kinds. Every body make judgments, but, the more they judge, the more they box themselves in, the smaller their worlds, the more boooring & bland it is, the more angry they are. Ignorance bring about anger from seemingly justifable fears. To not live like this, simply do the opposite. #chooselove #chooseunderstanding #choosejoy

My friend and I needed a major catch up session and she suggested this place. We both are huge on supporting small businesses. This restaurant is in the downtown part of Inglewood, it’s a small cute place with lots of charm. I of course read the Unilocal reviews so I was excited to come check it out. I also saw the pictures and the food looked very tasty. I ordered the grilled catfish with green beans and macaroni and cheese. The food was flavored beautifully the catfish was delicate and flaky and I really liked the freshness of the green beans. The macaroni and cheese was also good. I would definitely come back here often. If I lived closer I would come all the time. This is my new go to spot for tasty local cuisine. I really loved the service too. My server was attentive and a total delight. All in all I think you will enjoy this quaint little eatery. My friend ordered the wings and fries, she seemed to enjoy her meal very much also . Let me know what you think!

My BF and I hit up this place late on a Sunday Morning, it’s a small place, but we were able to get a table. Everything on the menu(and via pictures on Unilocal) looked really appealing a delicious. Without needing much time with the menu, we decided to order The Overloaded Breakfast Sandwich and the Waffles with Andouille Sausage and a side of bacon and cheesy grits. Yes, we came to eat! One word to describe everything? DELICIOUS! It’s rare to walk out of a place full and just savoring how great your meal was. I feel that in a foodie town like LA, you eat good meals, and then you eat GREATMEALS. This place is a great meal! The rundown of the food: the waffles were light and fluffy, more cakey than crispy, but really satisfying. Just enough sweet without needing much syrup. The Andouille Sausage was tasty, if you’re a fan, it hits the spot. The Overloaded Breakfast Sandwich was put together well! I felt all the components of the sandwich just worked well together(applewood bacon, eggs, lettuce, avocado, tomato on sourdough bread), and that chipotle aioli made everything flavorful. Without it the sandwich would not have been as good. We ordered a side of cheesy grits and ended up using it as a dipping sauce for our side of bacon. Love being able to support a small business like this! Service was great, food was delicious and it was just a perfect place for Sunday Brunch!

SERIOUSLY… I’m obsessed with everything on the menu. I got frustrated trying to order, because I narrowed my choices down to about 5 different entrées and I couldn’t decide! I settled on the catfish poboy, but on this Sunday afternoon, they were out of catfish(those church folks ate my catfish!) So I switched to breakfast — one Belgian waffle, scrambled eggs and turkey sausage. Delicious AND low low prices. My friend had the fried chicken sandwich and I got to taste it. Yummmm! I want to come back for the shrimp n grits and the catfish DUH. Aesthetically there is nothing happening at this spot. It’s just a few tables indoors and 2 outdoors. It’s in that cute downtown area of Inglewood on Market. There is metered parking on both sides of the street(free on Sundays) and you shouldn’t have trouble finding a spot nearby. I’ll be back to try more of the menu! Oh SNAP! I almost forgot to review the BOMB parmesan truffle fries with Dijon and Ketchup aye aye aye! Right now they won’t switch your side item fries to parm truffle so make sure you order these bad boys from the appetizer menu. We scarfed em!

Came here for a busy afternoon brunch. I ordered the shrimp and grits, which was good but definitely not worth $ 15 bucks. The portions are very scant, and the flavor is distinctive to the point where i’m not too sure it’s something everyone would enjoy. You have to have a real taste for grits if you order this. Definitely something I will try making at home. Food takes pretty long to come, so it’s smart to grab something before arriving. Best thing was our waitress who was very pleasurable and made sure that we had everything we needed. Overall our visit was satisfying. There were a few other menu items that looked great to try in the future.

Review is only for their waffles, which was very very deliciously fluffy and fluffiness is all you can ask for in the quality of a waffle right? Though I’d say $ 6.50 is a tad hefty on for one piece of waffle. Takeaways: Fluffy. Tasty.

First time here, my experience was as follows: We drove a little over 30 minutes to try their Mac n Cheese and Gumbo since it looked amazing in all the Unilocal reviews and pictures. The server explained that the cook will NOT be making gumbo at all today, because she is busy with other things. Understandable for an independent business owner, so we let that go. However, she said we could get the Mac n Cheese it would just be a little longer, so we agreed to wait for it since we drove all the way down. After ordering our breakfast plates, waiting for the Mac n Cheese, our server replied after we asked about the status, «oh she hasn’t started on it and she won’t get to it until later in the day.» I felt that she was not being completely honest, we were no longer comfortable and it became frustrating. We packed up our plates to go, paid for food we could have gotten much closer to home, and left. They need to identify on the menu or website that they do NOT always serve all items as advertised, this just screams lack of consistency to me and that leads to poor customer service.

I came here because my friend wanted to try this place so I decided to give it a 2nd try. I got the Overload sandwich & my friend got the shrimp & grits w/a side of Mac. First of all, this time I decided to dine in. service was not great. After having arrived we got greeted & I got coffee. Our food took exactly 39mins. Meanwhile, I had to ask for coffee twice, no one ever came to check up on us. The place wasn’t even busy so there was no excuse for their lame customer service. We had to constantly ask for refills… The coffee however was good. Overload sandwich: although perfectly crispy, it was ok considering that it took them over half an hr to make the sandwich. It came w/a skimpy amount of breakfast potatoes. That was the highlight of my meal, they were delicious. I wish they were quick to serve our food as they were quick to bring our check it was brought to us before we were even done w/our meal. What a big disappointment… nasty pot

A spontaneous call to a friend and having just a banana for breakfast led me here. I haven’t explored lately and this was the perfect opportunity. Photos of their food seemed very appetizing and the portion was generous. The Rusty Pot Café is part of Market Street, a strip of road in Inglewood that is a home for various businesses and eateries. I have been to Market Street once before so it was easy to find Rusty Pot. I found parking as soon as I pulled up, be sure to bring coins! Their meters do not accept debt or credit cards. Walking right in we were greeted and a friendly woman gave us menus when seated. Our waiter was also friendly but a little clumsy. It being my first time, I took a while to look over the menu. Our waiter answered the questions I had but took a little too long taking my order. In his defense, he was the only waiter and majority of the tables were occupied. The décor is non existent, aside from fake lavender in a tiny vase in each table. The place had a cafeteria feel. The place is very clean which is the most important fact of all, so i am no complaining. I ordered the Salmon Croquettes with home style potatoes and wheat toast. When my food had arrived, I was a little disappointed at the amount. The portion wasn’t as generous as photos i looked at prior to my visit. Aside from the portion, the taste was delicious. I wouldn’t say that there was anything extraordinary! It was a delicious breakfast but for the price, I expected a larger portion. My friend got the chicken omelette and he felt the same way. It was delicious but there was some details about his meal that he wasn’t fond of. The eggs weren’t scrambled well enough and left chucks of egg whites through his omelette. His potatoes were a little greasy and the veggies in his omelette weren’t cooked through. Overall, I had a decent meal and the staff were friendly. I had a good experience and I will come back and try something new in the menu.
