Always an inviting atmosphere. Food is fresh and yummy. Unlike other places that serve you old food. The panades are fresh and made to order. Try it you will like it. Make sure you have quarters for parking. The inglewood meter maids are always lurking around. I have had the oxtails and rice and peas. Not a long wait and you can call in your order.

This place was conveniently open on a Sunday, so a friend and I came here for lunch. I ordered the stew chicken Dinner with stew beans, plantains, rice and potato salad. Everything was excellent. The potato salad was to die for, I just wish that I would’ve gotten an actual dinner portion of it. It was gone in 3 spoonfuls. I love the environment of Little Belize. Everyone is really friendly and accommodating nonetheless. It’s a great place for a date or a quick bite to grab with friends where you can assure the food will be great no matter what you order.

Belizean food has been on my «to-try-list» for awhile now. Me and a friend were considering Dulan’s when we ran across Little Belize by chance. I hit the breaks, and we both were like«Yes, lets do this!» It did not disappoint. I’m a huge fan of Caribbean food, Oxtail being one of my favorite dishes… so I judge the food based on that. Both of us became instant fans! We will be back. The atmosphere is cultural, and you really feel you’re getting a small piece of Belize(as far as I know… having never been there). The service was great, and the chef was very nice, and appreciated my friends marriage proposal because her food was so darn good. Great experience, a must try. The Brown Stew hit the spot, the plantains cooked to perfection, rice and bean(peas) were a great compliment to sop up the rest of the gravy. And as an added bonus… as if there needed to be more… a nice helping of potato salad. I topped it if off with a Ginger Beer, and now I’m in post lunch heaven. Give em a try!

Full of the Belizean flavors that we need here in the U.S. From food, entertainment, atmosphere, you name it! I love it! Management is great! Glad to see a Belizean establishment flourishing! Keep it up Little Belize!

I was going to go to another restaurant before the Foo Fighter’s concert at the Forum, and decided to go in to this place instead. Between the wonderful service and the INSANELYDELICIOUS food, this place was the highlight of my night. Seriously! I have NEVER had fried plantains this delicious. Not even homemade plantains. I ordered the chicken stew and I was blown away at how delicious all the spices worked together. And our service was top-notch! We were treated like celebrities. It was a perfect night… Little Belize followed up with Dave Grohl. It really doesn’t get any better.

Food was amazing, full of flavor and fresh. Chicken, beef, everything is good. Large portions and great service. It’s warm in the restaurant on a hot day, they don’t use a/c. Only downside but otherwise highly recommended!

My go to spot for Belizean food if my parents don’t cook or if I want some decent panades. I LOVE their panades! The staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. I will say that the wait time is sometimes a bit long but you forget all about that once you taste the food. Well seasoned, authentic, Belizean food. I have only been for dinner and I am a satisfied customer. I have to try their breakfast soon.

I had high hopes for this place get ready for your food to be cold, our rice and food were served cold, it sucked I was looking forward to trying this place, but it just didn’t meet expectations. One more thing Jamaican music at a Belize restaurant sort of thru the vibe off, last I checked its not a Jamaican restaurant lol!

W.O.W. Awesome place!!! We absolutely loved the salbutes, chicken & beef stews with ducunu! Service was a fantastic, our waitress was great at giving us food details & recommendations. Serving sizes are large; we couldn’t finish the plates but on the bright side, we have a great lunch for tomorrow! Food was delicious and very flavorful! Little hole in the wall turned up to be a hidden gem! If I had to complain about one thing is that they do charge a service fee if you pay with a credit card. Although they notified us upfront, this day in age a business should really just take care of that.

I’ve lived blocks from this place for decades and never noticed it before. I was passing by on my way to my usual Rusty Pot breakfast after a long bike ride and decided to try something new. So glad I did! The stew chicken, fried beans and«fry jack» was the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. The place is clean, bright and airy. The staff is friendly and helpful and that stew chicken is seasoned to perfection! At first I was a little bothered that there’s no salt, pepper or hot sauce on the tables. But one bite and I understood. You don’t mess with perfection! The coffee was really good too! That always helps :)

After eating the great food, it’s not surprise that the prime minister and First Lady of Belize ate here when they visited LA. The restaurant has a nice vibe. Very colorful. Palm trees painted on the window. A little stage. Balloons. I got the chicken stew. Mmmm. The chicken is juicy and flavorful, the plantains are tasty and the potato salad is awesome! Only the rice was meh. Oh and the habanero onions are good but maybe not spicy enough? I can imagine how service could be a little slow(it feels like time stops when you walk in the door) but I ordered and got my food quickly. Definitely recommend.

We wanted to try something new and found this place on Unilocal.Super close to home to avoid traffic and something neither of us had tried before. When you first walk in, it feels like you are in someone’s living room, but then you see the tables and booths. The furniture is a little run down and everything is a quite colorful on light wooded hardwood floors. The people who work there are very nice, but service is a little slow. I went over the menu with the girl to make sure nothing I wanted had dairy in it. I got the meatball plate and my boyfriend got the sampler. Everything was quite delicious. You get a lot of food and everything is quite tasty. They also sell beer $ 3 for domestic. Pretty cheap to me :). The best part is that their gravy is not made with dairy and they use coconut milk in their rice. The only thing I didn’t like much was the coleslaw. A little too sweet for my liking. Overall, we had a great experience. The food was great, the people were nice, and we do look forward to coming back. I definitely want to try the oxtail stew next time! What a good little find in our neighborhood!

I wanted to love this friendly, low-key place in Inglewood, but unfortunately a couple things conspired against that happening: — the beans tasted like crude oil and were served in an inch of grease — the ‘fish hash’ in the panades tasted just like canned tuna — half the stew chicken was super overcooked(the other half was delicious!) — their pineapple ginger drink came from a bottle instead of being made fresh I enjoyed the johnnycake, but wished the toppings for it were fresher(when you have good bread, you don’t want to cover it with jarred jelly). I should say, too, that the spices on the chicken were wonderful, and the fact that they bled into the oil-beans was the only reason I ate any of the beans at all. The half of the chicken that was cooked right was absolutely wonderful.

This review is not based solely on the food, but more on their questionable, ethical, business practice. I brought my parents here to share in what thought was a wonderful food find. We were a party of 5, the only patrons in the place at the time. The server was pleasant, friendly, and helpful. We ordered 2 sampler appetizer platters, 3 oxtail dinners, a chicken stew, a beef stew, and a couple of desserts. All was good, some items better than others. The problem came when we were ready to pay. I wanted to charge the bill only to be told there is a service charge. EXCUSE me! I was here last weekend and no one charged me a service charge for using my credit card? The waiter said it was the manager’s rule and that if I wanted to charge our food I would have to pay a service charge. First off, NOWHERE/PLACE is there a sign posted stating any such rule or requirement. Not to mention again I had just charged my food the weekend before. Needless to say I refuse to be charged a service fee for something that seems most illegal., so I paid my bill in cash. I’m sure they aren’t going to declare it or someone is pocketing the money. In any case, I won’t be returning based on ethics. Honesty is the best policy. If you don’t want people using credit cards post it as a CASH Only. I don’t have a problem with cash only establishments. I know it helps keeps the operating cost down. Just don’t willy knilly decide who pays cash and who is allowed to pay by credit card. Dessert = 2 stars not overly sweet, crust tough, cake dry Chicken stew = 3 stars chicken was dry but flavorful, rice dry Beef stew = 3 beef tender but average flavor Oxtail= 4 star tender, meaty, but the rice very dry Sampler platter= 3 the tuna panada was the best of the appetizers, fresh tomato salsa would make these dishes better.

This is a tough review to write. I want so very much to give this place four or five stars but I can’t, in good conscience, given the experience we had. When/if we go back I’m confident they will shine so bright. Here’s the hang up. We came on Easter. The service was all smiles and apologies. Apologies because we sat there for about three hours. It wasn’t a busy day either. Just very, painfully slow. They were sweet about it and felt bad but if they couldn’t get enough staff in they should have closed for the day. I know it would have been better any other day. But the food, oh the food, it was so good. I had the salbutas and the corn tamale(ducunu?) and they were awesome. And super reasonably priced. The two of them together were only $ 8. Amazing. CP had the meatballs and they were also delicious. Very flavorful. They came with rice and beans and plantains. Yum. There was relatively easy parking(on this Sunday) right in front of the restaurant. I could tell it was a popular neighborhood hang. And really, the food is marvelous. And the staff is sweet. If they could just fine tune a bit we’d have a truly magical experience.

Stewed Chicken is pretty good along side the Rice and Beans and potato salad. Big ass portions probably enough for two people. I also like their menu because it represents most traditional meals. Most Belizean restaurants have certain items during certain times of the week but this establishment seems to serve it all. I was only indifferent about how it took 20+ Min for Panades which I ended up not ordering because it took too long. The Ducanu and Tamale came out so quickly, which is every fat persons dream. I wasn’t impressed with the Tamale. I am used to the chicken bone and they only had chunks of chicken breast in it. It wasn’t made with love but rather made for a wholesale type of crowd to feed the masses. They have a good selection of powder bun and coco tarts. Service was great and speedy. This restaurant is pretty clean compared to most Belizean restaurants. Meter parking rite out front :(
