Not impressed! I should’ve listened to my first mind and went to «hole in the wall» Bionicos Jalisco after work. La Tropicana’s «medium» is a «small» at Jalisco’s, all the while, Jalisco’s gives you far more cream and toppings, and is three dollars cheaper than Tropicana’s. I honestly just feel ripped off by Tropicana. The lady who waited on me was nice and the fruit was fresh, but there are better bionicos joints that are far cheaper. I don’t need to come back here again!

They have advertising food and drink when they don’t even serve them. Anyways, I got a Vanilla Drink, at first it taste ok, but then you get an after taste that taste disgusting. Not coming back here again.

I can’t believe I haven’t found this place sooner! All the fruits and veggies used for juice and smoothies are fresh. If you wanna splurge they have ice cream, bionicos, and snow cones. They even have coffee, donuts, and croissants! The place is kept clean and organized and the ladies are so nice! They answered every question and kept feeding us with samples. Good spot!

UPDATED: 04÷28÷14 Visit So i went in and i decided to get a banana split. The young girls working the counter were nice and friendly. I am bumping up my rating to 2 stars from my previous rating of 1 star. The reasons are as follows: 1. The banana split was bomb. I scanned prices for some of the other items, which i considered a bit too much for the size of the item. Maybe a little too much. 2. I ordered a small bionico to go, it didnt have much granola, raisins or coconut. this small bionico costs $ 5.50.\ 3. lastly, the lady with her 3 kids in front of me, whom i think didnt speak english, did not have any idea that the music over the speaker system was very vulgar and explicit. her young kids, i believe between the ages of 7 – 15, were just looking at each other every time a word came up on the song. If you operate a family oriented type business, you should never want to push your customers away. I mean, im not mother teresa here but come on. at least have some type of decency and play some other kind of music. I gave it 2 stars for the vulgar environment and unsatisfaction of the bionico.

From my experience thus far, this is a terrific establishment! The co-owner and staff are super friendly and accommodating. Patricia offered me multiple samples, the crema and soup were delicious. The juice is muy rico. Everything except the ice cream is home made here. I will definitely come back.

I went to this location had two bionico, it was so discussing the bananas were discussing and rotten and the worst part the female put more bananas then anything. Over charged for granola just horrible… I would never ever recommend this place to anyone in the world.

Not FROZEN yogurt, mind you, but regular yogurt, you know, Yoplait-type yogurt, in big containers, which you can layer with fruit or granola or whatever. If you’re looking for a lowfat frozen treat, they have juice bars in various flavors, plus some sort of juice they’ve frozen on site in plastic cups with a stick stuck in. Don’t know what flavor/s because I couldn’t read the sign. That leaves you with ice cream(or a smoothie, I suppose, but I’d been looking forward to frozen yogurt and wanted something close). The ice cream flavors are pretty much the usual and not particularly great quality; $ 1.25 per scoop, though, which isn’t terribly bad. I’d still rather pay more for better quality. The woman working there was nice. Parking lot is small and the spaces are cramped. Overall, I was disappointed.

I was craving Fresas con Crema(Strawberries with cream) and I went to this place just to find them overpriced, $ 5.99 for a smalll container, my fresas were dry with not enough cream and I asked for a little bit more cream and they told me they charge 0.75 cents for extra cream… So apparently the extra cream is a little 1 oz container, what a rip-off this is my last time coming to this over priced wanna be Mexican joint… if you want something better and cheaper I rather drive to Plaza Mexico.

This place sucks! There ice cream(paletas) are so over priced for how they actually taste. I had the coconut ice cream and it barely tasted like coconut and it had a little bitter taste AND they have a $.75 fee for debit… Ridiculous!

Tried a bionicos today from this stand at the Westchester Farmer’s Market… yum! Bionicos is hard to find in these here parts so when I saw it on the sign I had to get one. The guy informed me that he actually just had berries with cream but could make it into a bionicos for me… yes please! It was fresh and delicious. Strawberries, blueberries and blackberries swimming in cream topped with coconut and a delicious almond granola… very generous toppings. Came in a large cup all for only $ 3.50. He told me that he would bring traditional bionicos(with apples, melon and banana) next week but honestly the berry version was just as satisfying. Hope they stick around the market a while!

I came to this place because it is on my route home and I was craving a smoothie. Like everyone says, it is a very clean place and the customer service is very friendly. Since my first visit, I have been here a couple times because my husband is in love with the bianaco(sp) and he has me stop on the way home sometime. I don’t eat a lot of yogurts and ice creams, so I can’t really say how good those are. but the smoothies are pretty tasty. Also, my husband swears by the bian(whatever). I can say the fruit is always very fresh. He lets me pick at his strawberries. The prices seem a little high to me, but they really pack it in, so I guess for an extra buck or so more than you would usually pay, it’s okay. You can also sample, which is great! It is kind of out of the way, so if you’re in the neighborhood I would recommend.

Cool concept but sky high prices for what you get. I got the strawberries n cream fruit bar, which the server recommended. At $ 4 a pop, I was expecting better. It tasted like frozen half n half. You’re better off buying the Mexican fruit bars for 99 cents. Word.

I wasn’t impressed with their fruits bars. I got the guava fruit bar. There was freezer burn on mine and there wasn’t much taste to it at all. Also, there were so many seeds that mine got difficult to eat. The milkshake, according to my friend, was decent.

I was sick one week and stuck at home, being miserable. My boyfriend came to this joint, picked up an awesome chocolate delight for me — a couple scoops of rocky road with chocolate covered raisins and walnuts, topped with sprinkles. He got himself a couple scoops of cherry ice cream. My treat put a smile on his face, he was able to check into a new spot on Unilocal, and we both watched tv, happily every after.

Lady that attended us was really welcoming, gave us samples, very attentive It was nice and clean in there I rate it 3 stars because even though the Bionico was very delicious, it was over-priced The strawberry and cream ice cream bar was very disappointing– Gave it a chance, don’t think I’ll be going there again.
