This hotel reminds me of rooms I have stayed in on trips in the 70’s to Baja CA Mexico remote destinations as a broke college student. My room was #201 the very one in the photo on Unilocal. This room was worth about 25.00 a night but I paid 91 bucks with tax. I knew i was just going to grab 5 – 6 hours there to avoid driving in from Pasadena for my flight on Thursday July 24. There are so many NEGATIVES I barely know where to start! Room right on the boulevard Century so noise all night. TV from 1980s with batteries dead in remote. Towels small and as scratchy and stiff as steel wool. The bathroom smelled of old urine like a gas station restroom when I checked in which was less after first flush. In other words there had been urine in the bowl when I checked in. Furniture and bed were 1970s with heavy stains from skin oil on armchairs. The bed spread was years old and thread bare and snagged with likely biological NCIS samples probable. When I was checking in a man was sleeping on a Muslim prayer rug in front of the ground floor rooms and near office with his luggage. He later was rousted by the manager and he moved 20 feet down from the office. He had no room, he was just there to crash with NOROOMOFHISOWN on the ground with his luggage. His leggage indicated a long trip with multible large pieces. There was no wake up service, there was no LAX shuttle, there was a woman smoking outside my room on the stairs pictured. I needed to aks her to quit sitting onthe stairs as the smoke was in my room. A large can of butts was outside my door. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. I could go on and on. There were other homeless and vagrants walking he streets in the morning as I made my way to find a taxi to LAX some 2 miles west. I real travel NIGHTMARE. Unless it is the last room near LAX, I would PASS.

I will start with the good. The lady that works the desk at night is very sweet. Unfortunately that is the end of the list of positives for this hotel. The rooms do not have telephones, nor do they seem to have alarm clocks. While the sign is posted«No Smoking» in the room, there is an ashtray and the smell makes it quite obvious the room has been smoked in. The smell of the room is also akin to a gym locker room. The door has a deadbolt that will not lock, and there is no chain, door bar, or peep hole. The walls have cracks, stains, chipped paint from years and years of repairs and repainting. The carpet is old and stained and is probably a big contributor to the smell. There is gang graffiti literally carved into the wall by the bathroom. It appears to read«LNX13» which according to is the Lennox crew who has several affiliates. «Jay Boy» and«Roopy» appear to have stayed in this particular room. There is an air conditioner and a TV with cable, the remote for which is kept at the front desk. If you have ever seen some gritty hotel in any Hollywood movie where drug addicts and gang bangers hang out, THIS is the epitome of that kind of hotel. The neighborhood is less than stellar and you should take all precautions for your safety while staying here. I have photos of this room that will back up every claim I have made here. If the choice is between staying at the airport for a few hours or staying here, you would do well to choose the airport. It is safer, has less gang traffic, and cleaner and nicer by a factor of ten.

Probably one of the cheapest places to sleep around LAX. Friendly people and good service. The room was quite nice but the bathroom wasn’t particularly clean. It was okay though but I expect better. Free wifi.
