A buddy brought me here once to try the Birria de res for breakfast. We were on our way to tear down some kitchen cabinets and install brand new sinks in a house we were working on, and I was suffering from a hangover, I had no strength, ability, or will to do so. But when I ate this Birria not only was it some of the best I’ve ever had, it brought me back to life… AND it’s a Byob restaurant/carniceria they fix up a delicious michelada for you and you go next door(liquor store) and pour your own beer… And the combination of those two wonderful things cured me, And the reason I will return hungover or not.

the BEST micheladas ever! For 2.50 $ you get a cup with their secret mix. And you add your own beer. The birria was also delicious. I will be trying the pozole soon.

The best Carnitas… been coming here since the early 80’s. their Chorizo is #2 on my list next to los paisas in Torrance, but still better than most. some of the Butchers there are from my home town of Tepa and are all very friendly. I would recommend you buy the carnitas by the pound and take it home. they have a restaurant there but for some reason its not the same, i’d rather buy me about 5LBS and chow down at home.

The food was OK… the waitress didn’t come back to ask if we needed anything else cause they were to busy drinking beer… I know right. Even next door in the meat department which is connected to the restaurant the employees were walking around with beer in a brown bag. Didn’t mind the drinking but the lack of attention for their customers… never will I return here. 20 mins later I’m still waiting for my check smh

I love walking in to this place. Great atmosphere and the butchers all greet you with respect. Their meat is well seasoned and not so salty like other places. I even got $ 20 worth of free chicken because I made a bet with one of the butchers for the super bowl, thought that was pretty cool. I come here almost every Sunday. This is the place to get your carne so you can chill on a Sunday afternoon!

Went here to purchase carne asada for my employees and could not have been happier. The employees were nice and the place was clean. We loved the carne. It was very fresh and full of flavor. I also had a chance to try the seafood soup and it was delicious. I give it two thumbs up!

I come here regularly for lunch, and it is BYFAR my favorite lunch spot near the El Segundo area. I usually go with my Mexican coworkers, but I’ve ventured into Lennox on a few occasions without their supervision, and it aint all that bad. The area’s a tad sketchy, but it’s totally worth it. At only about 2 $ a pop, their mini-burritos are probably the most worth-it choice on the menu. My favorites are definitely the lengua, chorizo, and pierna mini-burritos. They’re always juicy and flavorful, and filled the PROPER way, with just the meat and whatever veggies were in the sauce. Also, their milanesa tortas are BOMB… freaking delicious! My friend really likes their camarones del diablo, which he’s ordered many times. It’s definitely worth taking a detour to check out this place. Cheap and amazing food… a seriously proper Hole in the Wall.

The carnitas on saturdays and sundays are amazing. Make sure you get their pickled onions. The best. Their tortas will have you craving more. Ask for their fresh potato salad… Get there early for their menudo and birria on the weekends. Dont be afraid of the neighborhood, most people are friendly. Go there now!!!
