I dream about Dead Eye in my sleep. Out of all the breweries in Indy, I think Triton might have the best consistently great beers. Having been to the brewery on the north side, I do prefer the laid back tap room on Broad Ripple Avenue. It may be it’s a short stroll down the Monon that is so appealing, but it’s the perfect spot to grab a beer on a sunny deck on a nice day. Did I mention the dogs? Dogs galore at Triton on any day the sun is shining. Big dogs, little dogs, so many dogs to play with. Don’t forget to bring your lunch to eat on the patio. No food here but they welcome outside meals, meaning Chipotle and beer. What a dream. At night the porch is lit up with adorable string lights and there is sometimes live music. It has the perfect ambiance for a low key night. Dead Eye, their stout is strong and smokey and oh so delicious. Rail Splitter, another classic is a boozey yummy IPA that is the perfect match for a summer day. My newest obsession is Dead Eyed Conductor-the two… COMBINED. Can you believe? Also Hatchblower, a spicy, pepper IPA. So happy to have this gem so close.

I don’t know how I haven’t reviewed this place yet! I’m here weekly and it’s my favorite place to grab a beer. The tap list is great, the service is always on point, and the atmosphere is perfect. Whether you’re grabbing a drink with some pals, coming in to work, or wanting to play a game with some friends this place is for you. It really dies down during the winter due to the patio not being open. Plus side of that is that it isn’t a busy! If you haven’t been, now is the time to come!

Ohhhh Triton Tap. This place has become a regular stop in for my friends and I on Saturday’s that IU basketball plays. And for that — I should probably apologize for the staff because we have been a bit on the rambunctious side the past few weeks(forgive us we just love the games!) The games, you say? Yes — the games! A perfect addition to a Saturday day drinking session. Giant Jenga, Cards against Humanity, Four Square and more. It’s a great way to pass the time while being social and having a few pints of some delicious, and relatively inexpensive, brews. Last — this establishment has touch tunes. And who doesn’t live being their own DJ? Big an of Triton Tap in Brip!

Living in SoBro spoiled me rotten with a plethora of great beer options close to home, so when I moved up to Broad Ripple, I whined about not having access to better beer within walking distance. My apologies to everyone who heard me complain, because I take that back: Triton Tap is right down the street! The tap room is small, but it packs plenty of their beers on tap in addition to at least one crafty guest tap. You have your usuals, your seasonals, your specials, and even your beer mixes. Throw in a free bag of kettle chips and a dog-friendly patio, and I’m all set! Indiana Beer FTW yet again! (Psst: Need a beer rec, Belgian hop heads? Order a Sinbad ale. If there’s Hatchblower IPA on tap, you must ask for a pint immediately!)

small place, but cozy and the elevated position over broad ripple avenue make the triton pour room a fun place. it’s cramped, but good for large or small group. short bar on the south side with maybe 8 – 10 stools. opposite the bar is a small 4 – 6 foot standing area, then a long high top table /activity space that extends towards br avenue. you can order food from union jack. triton beer are solid. wooden bar top with medium rail. nice light wood bar face. wooden stools with back support. bar back is simple, just taps, beer list, shelves, coolers, & a TV. great outdoor seating area(extension of the old la jolla). casual atmosphere that is perfect for day drinking.

I owe a review to one of my favorite beers in Indianapolis. The Rail Splitter. This is a great place to stop and relax after a bike ride, trip to the farmers market, and shopping at the surrounding boutiques. Though for me, one trip to Triton did encourage a trip to the boutique across the street. This is place is great for it’s patio, service, and food offerings. You can order food from any of the neighboring restaurants, which is something I particularly love. Or you enjoy the snack bags they have laid out. These snacks can be pretty dangerous. The inside can be a tad loud for me but you should really come here on a beautiful day outside. Sit on the deck with a great beer, great company, and great people and dog watching.

Triton beers are not my favorite, but they are not bad. With all of the great beer selections in the BRip area the main draw of Triton Tap is its exceptional patio right on the main drag. They also play pretty good music. Sometimes there is live music. Usually it’s just an individual due to the restricted space. They keep their Twitter pretty current with the events they’ll be having. Service has always been very friendly.

Visited Triton Tap Labor Day 2015. This was my first and last visit to this establishment. I’m not sure if it was the owner, but a short man with dark hair and a beer gut had a slight attitude while I was there. I played a song on the touch tunes juke box, he said, «what the f@&$ kind of song is this?» Kind of hard to ignore the comment since I played it and he sat at the end of the bar(just two seats away). Once the song I played was over, he put on some 90’s music and turned the volume up so loud I could hardly hear the person talking sitting in the seat beside me. He sat at the end of the bar behind a lap top and because of his unpleasantness, we payed our tab and left. Maybe some people can tolerate this type of behavior, but I’m not going to spend my money on their products ever again. The service was okay. The beer was okay. It’s a bring your own food type of bar. Too many other places to visit around the area to try. Hope you have a better experience than I did.

So I definitely owe a review for Triton tap. I’m guilty of checking in, seeing I’ve reviewed it, and not reading my review. I wrote the original on 2013, and I had been here 2x. Now I live in Broadripple and got about 1−2x a week. Fist off, this is in be top 3 dog friendly places in broad ripple. Dogs are allowed on the patio and inside since they don’t serve food. They also always bring my pup water. They have some decent pint specials($ 4, varying options) on Sunday and Some week days. They have great pitcher specials on Wednesday and Saturday. Bonus: they have wine and cider always, typically they even have a cider on tap. And the don’t gauge you for the wine or cider. It’s one of my favorite places in Broadripple. The only improvement would be if they bought the recently vacated space next door(formerly sabbatical) and expanded to a larger building and larger deck because it does get crowded when they have live music.

Being in the heart of Broad Ripple, this place is great for so many situations. You can stop in to relax and enjoy a few good beers before moving on to your next venture; you could stay longer, have more good beers and savor some local eats delivered to you from one of many nearby restaurants or food trucks. If at that point you’re still feeling inclined to stay, great! Watch the game, shoot the breeze with fellow patrons or the friendly staff, or just pass time on the front deck! Can’t wait til I’m back in Indy so I can go to Triton Tap again. Love this place and, of course, love its beer.

I liked Triton before coming here. Now, I like them more. The tasting room on Broad Ripple Ave was a convenient stop while waiting on a pizza down the road. I tried a three flight — Blackened Soul(black IPA), Sin Bin Pale Ale(Belgian pale ale), O-Rye-N(rye pale ale). Add three more beers to more to my «love Indiana beer» list! The tasting room has a/c inside and a shaded deck for outdoor sitting. The person at the bar was a good tender and easy to talk to. Good music playing. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was when my pizza was ready and I had to leave…

Triton is that cozy tap room that you can go with some friends, any day of the week, and have a good time with a beer in your hand. The rotation of seasonal brews and guest taps are great, there’s something new to try every time I go. I typically go for something new, but their pint specials are hard to pass up on Sundays. When the weather is prime, enjoy some Broad Ripple people watching on the patio overlooking Broad Ripple Ave. I’m a fan of the Connect-Four and oversize Jenga bar games they have inside, makes for a fun time with friends. Triton is also dog-friendly, which is awesome. Bring your pooch inside or out on a leash and the staff will make sure your four-legged friend is comfortable with water and a treat. Pro Tip: a lot of places will deliver to Triton Tap, notably Broad Ripple Sushi and Union Jack. Which is key for an extended session of sipping. Triton is quickly becoming my favorite place to go enjoy a pint or two. Check it out, you wont be disappointed.

Triton Tap is a cool little beer bar for Broad Ripple. They purposefully do not serve food for this reason alone, the focus is on the beer. Other than their 2nd anniversary party with grilled & catered food, you won’t find food unless you bring it yourself. Unless it is ridiculously busy, self-service at the bar is the norm. Not a big deal for me. Both outside and inside spaces are small, but I hear that the outside deck may grow for them. Wouldn’t mind more space to sit outside and people-watch on the strip. The inside gets very cozy and warm when they have musicians perform. In addition to the Triton beers, there is an always-rotating menu of other local/regional beers. The guys there are very knowledgeable about everything they carry. Hopefully they’re able to expand their footprint soon!

Looking for a place to grab a local brew and do some people watching? What about a place where you can play some pub games, settle in with Fido and enjoy a cold beer? This is your place. Nestled in the Broad Ripple strip, Triton Tap is a small gem filled with delicious beer. I have been here several times and always seem to enjoy myself. Knowing that it is dog friendly(both on the patio and inside!) sweetens the pot for me. On a recent visit their coolers weren’t working that well and the beer was on the warm and foamy side, so we were provided with a discount.

Great atmosphere and good beer. Wish there was more seating on busy nights or some sort of snack!

Yummy! First time stopping in this tap room, and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long! First off, it’s a nice change from some of the other bars in Broad Ripple. This one seems to fit exactly what I’m looking for: low-key, small-ish, free pretzels. Well, the free pretzels are really just an added bonus for me. Sometimes the thought of grabbing a drink in Broad Ripple leave me feeling exhausted… will I have to trip over those young, idyllic college kids, or feel weird by the too-old-to-be-there creepy guy staring at our table? Well, Triton Tap seems to be the cure to my ailment. It was no frills, good service, good beer type of place. Other than the free Snyder’s pretzels, there isn’t food, so don’t go looking for a dining option. But as a perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon? Yup.

Small little place in Broadripple that is exactly as it sounds. They have a bar, a couple tables and several taps. Last time I came here, they had a cooler with some bottle beers and all of the Triton taps. This time, it appears they expanded to also have 5 – 6 guest taps which supposedly rotate seasonally. They were out of my favorite Triton beer so I elected to try a similar guest tap and it was delicious. Two beers later we headed off to the next place. Great place to stop in and have a drink or two if you like Triton’s beers but unfortunately not much else in terms of holding power to keep people there. No food either.

I went here on 6⁄14 around 7:30−8ish to get a growler filled, and to have a pint. The lady I was with had never been to Triton, or experienced any of their beers, so we asked if we could sample some. Our response was«sure, I guess you can sample a couple of them». Excuse me, but what kind of brewery gets stingy with sampling of beer? Are they going to miss that half-shot of beer served in a weird fishbowl-esque glass? No, probably not. The lady behind the bar seemed like we were an inconvenience. I’m sorry, lady, but Indy has a good beer scene, and we have many options here. Try to act like you appreciate your patrons. Not only this, but I noticed this same woman(who can’t seem to match a pair of socks — thanks for the good laugh) being rude to other people besides us! I’ve been to my fair share of breweries, and most, if not all, are ran by good people that love beer, and love people who drink their beer. I know that they just sell what Triton brews here, but it gives the establishment a bad name. On a side note, the beer is very good, but I don’t think I’ll be back. I can get Triton beer in many places, and one of those places doesn’t have to be a cramped, warm bar with rude people behind the counter.

Triton has been one of my favorite microbreweries since Day 1. The brewery location right outside Fort Harrison State Park is absolutely perfect. Dogs allowed, kids allowed, food truck always parked outside. It’s the perfect place to wind down after mountain biking the excellent trails in the park. However, the Broad Ripple location kind of gets lost in the noice that is Broad Ripple. They don’t brew the beers here, just sell them. The interior space is pretty small with just a few tables and bar seats. It’s all very wooden and rustic. The deck facing the street is where it’s at. Good views of the hoopla along Broad Ripple Avenue. They have all their house beers on tap of course as well as their seasonals. They even host a handful of beers from other local breweries. There’s no food served here except for some bagged pretzels and such. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind if you bring in food from one of the dozen restaurants that are just steps away. It’s not a bad location, and the beers are excellent as always, but it just lacks the panache of the Fort Harrison location.

If you’re in the mood for a little beer tasting… there is a nice little room off broadripple avenue. It’s new and you might not notice it if you didn’t know that it was there. It’s nicely decorated. My group and I each ordered flights! Great beer. Good times. Nice people. I recommend.
