Tick Tock! How many times have I stared longingly at the Unilocal pics of your deluxe Bloody Mary?(the answer is more than 10 and less than 237) We decided to make the trek in to the Tick Tock Lounge around lunch time on a Saturday and the place was fairly empty. There appeared to be a few ‘regulars’ at the bar and only one other table of people in the seating area when we arrived. It stayed pretty low-key throughout our visit and the bartender also ended up being our attentive server. We mentioned the infamous Bloody Mary and she noted it would take a while to prepare the garnish, so we gladly hunkered down for the experience. We took fellow Unilocaler Vam’s suggestion and started lunch off propa with 2 shots of the house coffee infused vodka. WOWZA! Hello Saturday afternoon! Of note, the Tick Tock infuses their own flavored vodkas behind the bar in glass dispenser-type jars — today’s flavors were bacon, jalapeño, pineapple, citrus, coffee, and mixed berry. Think glass ice tea server with spigot but tipsy-er. We then ordered lunch and out came my Bloody Mary snack. I’m not kidding you when I say that the garnish on the Deluxe Bloody Mary is a mixed bag snacky appetizer in and of itself. This beast comes with a skewer of tater tots, a rib of celery, a crispy slice of bacon, and a skewer of alternating green olives, cheddar cheese cubes, and pepperoni. Not kidding. This is no joking matter. I could see flakes of horseradish floating around in the mix and began to get super happy. Our server explained that the $ 10 deluxe Bloody Mary is set apart from the ‘usual’ Bloody Mary because, aside from the garnish, it also contains the house infused bacon and jalapeño vodkas! Get. Out. Took a sip… and…bland… wah-wah(sad trombone). Man! I had it so hyped in my mind! Hmmm… it’s missing something. How was this possible? I grabbed some Franks, some shakes of black pepper, and eventually threw in the pickles and juice from my tenderloin to make it even close to tasty for me. When I talked with our bartender later(I should have brought it up to her sooner, my bad), she said to order it extra spicy next time as they tend to make them mild for those with a sensitivity to spice. Noted. As for lunch, my tenderloin was AMAZING… thick, not pounded out; wet battered not crumbly; on a perfectly lightly toasted bun — so juicy and tasty! Added mustard, tomato, and extra pickles — LOVED it! The hubs loved his dry battered chicken tenders and voiced ‘these are the real deal’ on a few occasions. Good endorsement as this dude knows some chicken fingers. Overall — it’s a totally casual/divey joint, but super clean inside with friendly patrons. They have a great list of local craft beers which are only $ 4 on Wednesdays(also Karaōke night), and seem to run specials most days of the week. We will totally stop in when in the area again to try out more menu items… IF I can stay away from a repeat rendezvous with that tenderloin…

Love this place. Good atmosphere. I’m a regular and the place is crawling with other regulars. They have a small good pub type menu. But the daily specials, locally brewed drafts and bloody marry makes it worth the trip every time.

If you like Bloody Mary’s come to the tick tock lounge! The flavor is perfect! The only thing I would change would be salting the rim… It also has an intense salad on the top. featuring some tater tots! Will have to come back and try the actual menu someday soon.

I’ll echo the sentiments of many before me and start with the Bloody Mary. It has to be seen to be believed. The garnish really is a meal in itself with tater tots, pepperoni, olives, cheese cubes, beefstick, etc. The drink itself is not bad either, as they use jalapeño-infused and bacon infused vodka to give it some good flavor. I’m impressed with their efforts on other drinks as well. They make a deluxe white Russian that is quite tasty featuring their own coffee infused vodka. They have daily food specials as well as an innovative pub menu. I’m not going to sugar coat it. As far as the outside goes, it is in a sketchy Eastside neighborhood, so if you are faint at heart about venturing into certain areas of our fair city, consider this fair warning. On the inside, it’s really brighter and cheerier than you might expect from the area, and the staff is fantastically friendly and attentive.

This is one of my favorite places to come around the holidays. It has a cozy, English pub feel to it, and especially during the week, loads of regulars who make it feel homey. The beer is reasonably priced, and they have a decent selection of local, domestic, and imports. In the corner, they have dart boards surrounded by comfortable seating in a leather couch-adding to the cozy, at home feel. The service is always friendly, though not always prompt. Come in for their karaōke. Even if you don’t sing, those who do always look like their having a good time and the charm of that can make up for the(sometimes seen) lack of talent. But you can’t get out of here without trying one of their in-house infused vodkas. I always opt to shoot it(coffee infused one is my favorite) but each vodka has a drink suggestion to go with it. Oh, and my boyfriend swears by their tenderloin.

Great food, low cost. Infused drinks, local drafts. Good atmosphere. Usually friendly service. Really fun karaōke on Wednesday nights. Usually a fun and friendly mixed crowd of race and affluence. Excellent bloody Mary. Support the Near Eastside!

I’ve driven by many times and it hasn’t occurred to me to stop in. Glad I finally stopped for lunch today– good food at a great price! I’ll be back soon. Another little surprise a couple of blocks east is Pogue’s Run Grocer — great little deli.

I am on a quest to find the best Bloody Mary in Indianapolis. After experiencing several of the bloody mary brunch bars in Chicago, I was bound and determined to find something similar in Indy. Tick Tock bloody marys are AMAZING! They are a little pricey($ 10 on Sundays) but definitely worth every dollar. The best bloody marys, in my opinion, are the ones that come with all of the fixins! They even infuse their own vodka. They also have a great breakfast menu on the weekends. Good selection at great prices.

I give this great little east side gem 5 stars because it is better than what you would expect. It’s a little hole in the wall bar but it’s a great one! It was super clean, the food was delicious, the Bloody Mary is slap ya mama good, the staff was friendly, and they infuse their own vodka behind the bar. Boyfriend got a Long Island and it was made to perfection, twice. There is so much good going on behind those humble front doors. Don’t be deterred by the location, the east side is full of good people and little gems like this one!

Great food. The burgers are awesome. They make their own infused vodkas and have a nice draft selection.

I feel pretty lucky to live just down the road from Tick Tock Lounge. A local hang out that isn’t packed to the gills with loud college crowds or stuffy suits — just able to relax and enjoy the company you brought. Lets talk staff, and I really wish I knew everyone’s name, as often as I have been going I should know them right off the bat! The staff is wonderful. Always close by, they do not bug you, just around if you need something. The dinning room isn’t huge but has enough room for everyone. Most of the tables are round pub tables, perfect for group conversation. The bar has plenty of seating as well so take your pick. Each day there are select food and drink specials — Monday has a great $ 5 burger and fries. Sunday’s will bring you $ 4 local beers, $ 3 mimosas, and of course the famous $ 10 Bloody Mary. What is special about their Bloody Mary you might ask — the vodka. Tick Tock has a bacon infused vodka that gives their Bloody Mary an extra depth. It also helps that each Bloody Mary is topped with bacon, tater tots, pepperoni and cheese, olives, and of course celery. These Bloody Mary’s are a one and done for me however I have friends who will have 2 – 3. The menu is pretty simple but everything is solid. My favorite — the firecracker chicken. Chicken with jalapeño wrapped in bacon, deep fried and tossed in buffalo sauce. A great way to start the meal. The pizza is very good and a great deal. Burgers are spot on and come on a great bun! They like to have fun at Tick Tock. Trivia night, karaōke, and even live music. The live music on Friday can get a bit loud so if you are looking to talk, don’t go on a Friday. As long as I live just down the road this will be one of my hang outs.

Local spot with good food that deserves some much deserved recognition. Came for lunch and they serve traditional«bar food»…everything on my plate was really good, the in house chips, the crispy grilled bread on my sandwich, and yes even the small cup of slaw. If u have the opportunity to go eat somewhere for lunch, spend your money here. Its local, and its 100 times better than throwing your money away at a fast food restaurant. The locals of this specific area in Indianapolis are working extremely hard to do great things in this part of the city and it shows. My co worker and I decided after our meal this is a thumbs up and will be coming back. More excited to come back on a weekend maybe and try out these ridiculous looking drinks.

Tick Tock Lounge was pretty good. Went in on a recent Friday night for a late dinner. It’s quite the dive set up, which isn’t really my thing. If that is for you then maybe you’ll like it more. They had a pretty good draft list with a number of local options and a few national. I ordered the pork tenderloin because Indiana. It was hand breaded, which is a plus, but it wasn’t pounded thin enough, so it was a little tough in parts. I’m not sure if I just got one that wasn’t hit enough or if they’re normally that way. Any regulars out there, let me know. If I lived in the area I would probably go again, but since I don’t I expect I won’t.

$ 10 Bloody Marys! So the bloodys themselves weren’t that good. The tomato and spice taste was not as strong as I would have liked it. However, the garnishes are fantastic: tater tots, cheese & pepperoni, olives, huge celery stalks, and nice crispy bacon. So I saw all the reviews and photos of the bloodys and was so excited to try them out. As we were driving to this place my thought was … «where the am I???» It’s in a sketchy area of Indy. I don’t know my Indy neighborhoods very well but there were beat down houses next door(we sat outside) and one has«No trespassing» spray painted on the door. scratched up sides… needless to say we downed our bloodys and went back downtown. We only had the bloodys and although the garnishing was on point — I’m only giving 3 stars because the bloody mary itself was just ok.

Synonymous with«Tick Tock Lounge» = «Bloody Marys with the most beautifully obnoxious garnishes ya ever did see» What do I mean by obnoxious? How about tater tots, pepperoni, cheddar cheese cubes, green olives, a massive celery stick and slab of crispy bacon. What about the juice? Bacon and jalapeño-infused vodka. Talk about a kick! I expected this place to be much more divey than it was. In fact, both the fascade and interior were clean and well kept. It appears that they are really into liquor infusions. I’m mighty curious about the banana-infused whiskey. Kitchen closes at 10pm. If only I could have ordered one big bowl of those tater tots — they taste like the tater wedges you find at McDonald’s.

For you neighborhood revitalization fans, Tick Tock is a success story from a revitalization standpoint, very cool to see it become an anchor on 10th street. The food menu is pretty good. So much so, that I wish I could bring the family and kids in to enjoy it. But alas, it is a bar. I’ve met some friends and neighbors here, and held a couple meetings here. There is bar seating, small table and large table seating. I’ve not been here when it is packed… usually, it is about ½ full when I am here so seating is not an issue. The drink selection is average to me. A good selection of local and big name beverages. Again what is really good is the ambiance and the food. They also have trivia nights and karaōke.

So, apparently Tick Tock is a New Year’s tradition for some of our friends and we tagged along this year. We had heard rave reviews of their famous loaded bloody mary, so naturally we had to try one. It did not disappoint. As the other posters have said, it is made with their house infused bacon vodka, delicious bloody mary mix and garnished with lime, celery, olives, tater tots, cheese, candied bacon and pepperoni. It’s a little steep in price, but practically a meal in and of itself. For lunch, I had the chicken breast sandwich with Cajun seasoning with a side of home made kettle chips. The chicken breast was cooked perfectly and the bread delicious. Their Cajun seasoning was good, not too salty and not at all bland. The homemade chips were spectacular. My partner ordered an appetizer that consisted of chicken and jalapenos breaded, tossed in buffalo sauce and wrapped in bacon. Interesting flavor mix and I highly recommend it. Some in our group had the infused vodka flights. They have a wide selection of vodkas they infuse in house from the aforementioned bacon, pineapple, coffee, etc. The atmosphere is a typical bar, but clean and seemingly well kept. The prices are reasonable and I can definitely see us coming back in soon.
