Met some girls here for drinks and dinner one night. It was a pretty okay dinner. Nothing great for any of us, but good/okay all around. I had a Blonde Berry beer, which was a blend of a few different kinds and it was really good! My food wasn’t good though. Just dry and bland.

dined here for my first time, & got the pizza of the month, which was Philly cheesesteak. I must say, best pizza I have ever had hands down. will definitely be going again before the end of the month great food, great service, great atmosphere!

I was a huge fan of Thr3e wise men! They have great drinks and pizza! I have traveled a good bit across the country, and their pale ale is one of the best. Their double Ipa isn’t the greatest, it feels like they throw a ton of hops at you. That being said, their double is good; there just isn’t much of another layer of flavor to it. Their pizza is the best! This is where my girlfriend and her family get pizza from all the time. I understand why! It is great! It would be my favorite spot if I lived in Indy! Side note, their pale ale is so good that the one growler I had for Indy was filled with the pale ale. We are enjoying it all the way back in South Carolina.

Always love the menu and beer list. Sandwiches are great too. Good place to watch a game or meet up with friends. Can’t go wrong with the Hubbard and Cravens porter.

Excellent service and pretty good pizza. Being a brew house I was wondering how it would be for kids, surprise, it’s full of kids! They give the kids pizza dough to play with, talk about entertainment. I’ll be back, with the kiddo!

I’m over the service issues at 3WM. Based on my most recent visit on 11/29/2015, I doubt I’ll ever go back. Throughout the summer, 3WM partnered with Blue Mile in Broadripple for a weekly group run on Tuesdays. You were supposed to earn prices after 3,6,9, and 12 runs. My friend and I did most of the runs, more than 12, and saved our cards to collect all our prizes at the end. Prizes were to include: a free growler, free appetizer, t shirt, and a $ 10 gift card. My friend and I finally visited 3WM, after a 10 mile run, on 11⁄29 to redeem everything. Imagine our surprise when no one knew how to deal with the cards we had stamped at blue mile. After some time, the manager came over and brought us a hat and empty grower. Along with those items came an apology because«we couldn’t have all the items at once» and we «should have used them as we earned them». I sure wish someone explained that at blue mile or 3WM printed that info on the stamp cards for the runs. We asked for the cards back to redeem the rest at a later date and were told no. Since we had already ordered beer, we finished that, paid, and left. We had ingested to stay, eat, and watch some football. But with that service, no thanks.

Came here for a meeting, loved the pale ale but the hummus recommended by the waiter was thin and surprisingly flavorless. Looks like a great atmosphere and the beer is certainly great so I’ll be back to try something else of the menu.

Ooof. During my last lunch at this joint I was pretty miffed that lunch took 2 hours and our bills were a mess when we recevied them. Sadly, I had the exect same experience today, a year and a half later. This time though, the restaurant was by no means busy. We had to request menus with the lunch special, which we all ordered from, but when our bills arrived the server had«forgotten» to reflect the lunch pricing on the check – which we had to point out to him. Lunch didn’t take 2 hours, but it did take a full hour, with a 35 minute wait to receive our salads and small pizzas. Most of our lunch was taken to-go since we ran out of time. I think I’d be more forgiving if anyone working at the restaurant appologized or made note of our whacky experience, but there didn’t seem to be much attention paid to the customers. Sorry, Thr3e Wise Men, but something is just not clicking at this restaurant. Definately not coming back.

I wish I could always rate a brewery just on their beer, but when you have food at your establishment you open the review up to a broader realm. Beer alone, this place is 4 stars. The food however, leaves a lot to be desired. We came on a weekday night and were greeted by a waiter that was extremely friendly and helpful. He checked on us multiple times and made sure our beers were filled. I was recommended the pizza and that’s what I went for. I got a balsamic bruschetta pizza that included chicken. The crust was thin, and it was pretty good as crusts go. But the«bruschetta» was essentially chopped tomatoes with balsamic glaze strewn over some mozzarella cheese. The chicken seemed like it was pre cooked out of a bag. The beer however, was not a joke. I got their coffee porter, which was smooth and full bodied with a strong hint of coffee at the finish. Very drinkable even with the strong coffee undertones. I considered getting a growler. Overall: good beer, tolerable food.

I used to live right down the street and would frequent here often, whether for sit in, take out or delivery. I could not get enough of this place. Have ordered a variety of things here, never been disappointed, but by far my favorite is the mo’fo mustard wings. Wow, are they delicious! Even better on Mondays when it was unlimited. Definitely miss the food since I’ve moved but will always return when I’m in town.

Updating the below update: After the negative experience, the management staff reached out to me and rectified the situation. I am appreciative they took the time to show sincere concern for their patrons. Thanks Whitney and Thr3e Wise Men for making the situation right. Updated 1-star review: This is an update to an original review from 2013. We had a really good experience then and on a separate occasion, and being back in the area this past Monday(Labor Day) we wanted to stop in again and check out their updated beer list and enjoy some good food. Unfortunately, the restaurant/hostess had a different idea. The hostess initially informed us it would be a 30 minute wait — OK, no problem, it appeared the lunch rush was finishing and tables were being flipped. As tables opened after 15 minutes, we still weren’t seated. Since no other customers were waiting to be seating, we approached the hostess for an updated waiting time and she informed us we were fourth on the list. After another 10 minutes, and even more tables opening, we approached the hostess again. By now there were numerous open tables on the patio and inside the restaurant, but the hostess again told us she could not sit us. When pressed, she answered it was because others were«checked in» ahead of us. Even though these patrons were NOT at the restaurant, since they«checked-in» the hostess needed to wait for them. She informed us it was a new management policy.(Hmm, seriously?) After another minute or two, we were seated on the patio. We waited 7 ½ minutes and no server approached us to take even so much as a drink order, so we got up and left. Very disappointing as this was one of my favorite restaurants on Broadripple after two great experiences. It will take a lot for me to give this business another chance at my money.

Take a seat at the picnic table. We are all family here. Being a Ball State alumna(chirp chirp) I have big LOVE for Scotty’s, but love the different experience that Thr3e Wisemen offers. Gnaw on some popcorn while you wait and sip down a fresh pint. Their 2 Lucy’s is my personal fave: they succeeded in creating a raspberry beer that is not too sweet(a big win in my book). Their hummus pizza is the perfect meal — or an appetizer. Their Basil Bunny Bruschetta pizza is also dynamite. Sit back, relax, and stay awhile!

I’ve only been to Thr3e Wise Men Brewing Company once, on a weekend trip with a few other people. I thought it was alright. I had looked it up online prior to making dinner plans(and of course I checked Unilocal first!), so I already had certain expectations in my mind. I wasn’t let down by Thr3e Wise Men, but I wasn’t blown away. I wasn’t drinking much that night, so I only tried a drink of a friend’s beer, and it was definitely tasty. Not the best beer I’ve ever had(let’s face it, we have some great beers here in Louisville), but I would have gladly drank a pint of it. They bring out popcorn for you to start, as sort of an appetizer for the table, and we all enjoyed that. However, the popcorn didn’t seem to have any seasoning at all. I don’t just mean there was a shortage of seasoning and we needed to add more, but I don’t think it had anything on it. I don’t know many people that prefer plain popcorn, so I felt like some butter, salt, or some type of seasoning would have greatly improved the popcorn for everyone.(We added tons of salt and seasoning salt from the table.) I ordered the Hot Ham and Cheese, which came with house-made chips. You could choose the chips plain or with seasoning salt, so I chose seasoned, but couldn’t really tell they had any seasoning on them. The sandwich and chips were good. Nothing too special, but about what you would expect from a pizza joint. I’ll say this time and time again, but I’m the person that wants to try everyone at the tables food. And I do. So. One of the people I was dining with ordered the Stuffed Stix, which are breadsticks stuffed with pepperoni and served with marinara, nacho cheese, and garlic butter. I tried these and thought they were alright. Nothing special. I’d rather have regular breadsticks, or pizza, or a sandwich. Another friend ordered the Homemade Zoe Pretzels. These were really great. I’m a huge fan of pretzels though! I love pretzels from almost anywhere. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was that these pretzels are served with nacho cheese. Can we get some beer cheese people?! It’s a brewery! And finally, two of the others I was dining with ordered the Bar-B-Q Chicken pizza. I have to say, the pizza was absolutely delicious. It was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of toppings. Absolutely delicious, and I bet it would have paired great with the beer. Everything was priced really reasonably, and the service was good. If I ever find myself at Thr3e Wise Men again I’ll definitely order some type of flight, so I can try out some more of their beer, and I’ll definitely order those pretzels.

After an underwhelming first experience, my co-worker finally coaxed me back to give Thr3e Wise Men another shot, and I’m glad I did. This time around I went with the Italian-type sandwich and it was delicious. They apparently use a lot of Smoking Goose products, so of course it has to be good. Beer is a-ok. I’ve tried a few of their different brews and while I’ve never been blown away they’ve always hit the spot. Service at lunch was quick and friendly, so full marks there. Glad I gave it another try.

Stopped here on a road trip to have some dinner. We were seated right away in the main dining area. Both of us ordered some in-house brews, and both of us were very impressed. My boyfriend got a porter and I got an IPA. For dinner, I ordered the chop salad and he got a chicken parm sandwich. My salad was pretty bland and the ingredients did not meld well. It had veggies, cheese, and pepperoni, and the dressing(Italian) was not that great. It was something I could make better at home. The chicken parm was also not too impressive. I had a bite and the bread was below average and the chicken was overdone. The service was OK, but not great. Our waitress was nice enough, but I noticed other waitresses looked unhappy to be there. They seemed to have attitude, both while walking the floor and interacting with guests. The vibe of the staff members brought the experience down. Overall, great beer, below average food, and iffy service.

What a great place! When you walk in to a door being opened for you(nice touch!) you know things will rock. We were quickly seated and given a basket of popcorn by our very sweet server Lynsie. My friend and I both ordered drinks from the bar and received water/soda while we waited. I went for the hot wings and my friend got the Chop Chop salad(for 2 — she took home leftovers). My wings were HOTTT. I’m not a heat wuss but these were a bit too hot for me. No fault of my waitress — she warned me — I just thought I could handle. The Chop Chop salad was amazing! My friend raved so much and offered me some — wowza. Another cool feature of the restaurant was full view of the brewing taking place on premise — very unique. I’ll definitely make it back to Three Wise Men again soon! The pizzas coming out looked amazing and I’d love to try them. PS — Ask for Lynsie’s section! Best waitress I’ve had in Indy!

It has been almost 2 years since I wrote a review for 3WM, and it is definitely deserving of a revisit. Still love the place itself. It is very open with a lot of seating between the couple different rooms and the large 3 sided bar. The picnic table style seating that they have quite a bit of can hold larger groups, but it is a giant pain when anybody has to get up or sit back down in the middle of a meal compared to just having seats. They still have enough TVs to catch sporting events both from the bar and at most tables throughout the place. There are a lot of breweries in Indy who don’t really have their brewery viewable from the restaurant or taproom, and I love that 3 Wise Men made sure you could see all of it. They also have some outdoor seating, but its location right along the road and outside of where most of the foot traffic is along the sidewalks isn’t the most ideal location. The food menu is solid. They do a good job of mixing it up with seasonal offerings to keep things interesting. The pizza is pretty good, but it is the calzones and sandwiches that I always go for. They carry the same wings that Scotty’s does, and those are always a good go-to. It’s easy to get enough food to have leftovers for under $ 10. Additionally, they have free popcorn when you sit down to munch on while enjoying some beers or waiting on your orders. My biggest complaint in my last review was about their beer. They just didn’t really have anything that was that impressive at all. In the last two years they have gotten much better, in my opinion, so I need to up my rating because of that. Their standard offerings is a decent list that is probably still on the safe side of things, and doesn’t offer anything that I would choose as being in consideration for my favorite beer in any of their respective categories, but they are good beers to have available to people at all times and they are very consistent in their production of these. The thing that they have done that has jumped out at me is improve significantly on their seasonals. They have really been putting out a nice list of them recently, and it makes going into here or Scotty’s locations specifically to try their new ones worth doing. Service at tables is usually pretty good. I think it seems like the bartenders cater towards their regular customers, of which it seems they have quite a few, and there have been a few times I have been left needing a refill at the bar for longer than I think should have been necessary. This does tend occur when they have to fill growlers, so maybe they can work on that system a little more. They have plenty of beer specials on most days of the week, and have some different food specials for happy hour or late at night. This is usually a place I recommend that is both family friendly and still a fun atmosphere in the Broad Ripple area, and will continue to be somewhere I come back to when I am looking for a little more of a laid back atmosphere then some of the sports bar settings downs the road.

Let me just say that my rating is an average of previous visits and tonight’s. I’ve had good experiences and decent experiences. Tonight was decent… and it had nothing to do with the food or service! Food = great. I got a BBQ pizza. Their pizzas are the super flat, crispy variety. Very yum. The pizza BBQ sauce is a little spicy for my taste, but I still liked it. We also shared pickle chips, which are AWESOME! Service = excellent. Our waitress was attentive but not annoying. We asked for our checks early so we could get out fast for a show, and she was accommodating. She also brought us boxes without us requesting them. My problem tonight was the live music. The guy sounded lousy and he had the volume up way too loud. It made it impossible for my date and I to talk. Couldn’t hardly hear the waitress. Very annoying.

Went there with one of the meet-up groups I belong to. We had the pleasure of a brewery tour prior to dining. That was rather interesting. For one the head brew master is a lady… you go girl… we learned all about beer brewing and apparently it’s all about the yeast. I am better at drinking than making. Anyways, after the tour we returned to our room and were surprised by a ton of free beer samples. Oh my… We sampled to our hearts content. The pizza here is phenomenal, that is all I can say. The sauce in itself is an adventure. It is fresh and tasty and obviously has ‘real’ tomatoes in it, as I found several chunks of them in the sauce. Surprisingly I fell in love with a pizza called BASILBUNNYBRUSCHETTA(brew-homemade marinara, chicken, tomato, fresh basil, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, snow bunny blonde balsamic glaze). Sounded odd, but turned out to be absolutely fabulous. Also whole-heartedly recommending the cheesy garlic bread, stuffed breadsticks and oh my the chopped salad for two, tossed table side… yummm

I like drinking here mainly because I get to nosh on free popcorn while I sip on flights of their beer. It’s not my favorite brewery in town, but I can give a thumbs up to the Blackberry Wheat, Hubbard & Cravens Porter, and Mr. Bass(the bartender). As for the food: pretty mediocre. I see a lot of families, which makes sense, but the pub food doesn’t pack any pizazz. I would call this the Applebee’s of Indianapolis breweries. In short, come here for a beer, find food elsewhere in Broad Ripple.
