This restaurant is a great addition to Indy! The atmosphere is nice with space to accommodate large parties. I ordered bbq with Mac and cornbread. Let me just say, I love bbq and this meal made me feel like I was dining at a local spot in North Carolina. The corn bread was delicious; I honestly didn’t expect it to taste as great as it did. It wasn’t the cheapest restaurant but most BBQ restaurants are pricey these days! Nonetheless it is worth a return trip!

They have the best bourbon list in the entire city! The Mac and cheese and the shrimp and grits were SO good and I’m from the south so that’s actually sayin’ something. I’ll be back for sure!

I have only gotten carry out here but I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. Dim but comforting. This is my favorite Bbq spot in Indy so far. The ribs are good. I like the variety of sauces. They are actually different favors instead of modified versions of the same. The Mac and cheese is great. The cornbread is fine but nothing special. It(the cornbread) is a good traditional accompaniment but as good as everything else is I just hoped for more innovative. The sugar cream pie was fine but could have come from a store. I wouldn’t order it again.

Always spot on! The smoked meat is tender and flavorful. The french fries are unbeatable. The drink menu makes my mouth water. Service is always attentive.

The food is great. Sat in the bar and had good service. The host/hostess can be a bit uppity and have a bit of an attitude if you do not have a reservation – even when it is clear the restaurant is not booked. The drink prices are a bit high. Overall, a good experience and great comfort food.

This place is great and they are knowledgeable about gluten free. Their menu doesn’t specifically list which items are or can be GF, but every server I’ve had has known which items are GF and they have an allergen list that they can bring out if need be. As far as the bar, they carry Green’s GF beers(my favorite!) and Tito’s vodka.

I personally love this place. The pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese with rib jam are my go to choices. They have a great cocktail list and also beer and wine. They have a good selection of local brews on draft and bottles. You receive 4 sauces for your table, the KC is my favorite by you should definitely try the Carolina Gold for something different. They don’t have a super spicy option which might bother some, but I am not a spicy food fan so it’s fine with me. The décor is fun and everything just fits. The patio area is awesome as well with a fire pit for summer and spring. They have a lot of options in terms of meat and sides. The corn bread comes with the most delicious maple butter. I wish I had room for dessert to try them but I never do!

This was my send time at North End, and it was just as good as the first time. I had the Texas brisket with French fries and green beans. The sides are not your regular sides. The fries were crispy mixed with butter and peppers. No salt or ketchup needed for these delicious fries. The green beans are served al dente. The brisket was fresh and moist. It is served with 4 different sauces. The Carolina gold is my favorite followed by the molasses sauce. We sat in the bar area which became packed during our dinner. Service was excellent!

Our meal was good, although I thought the sides were much better than the meat. The mac and cheese is AMAZING! The main reason for my bad review is because of our server Ashley. When it came time to pay our bill. I handed her a $ 50 Visa gift card and my Discover card. I told her there was $ 50 on the gift card and to put the rest on my Discover. She came back minutes later and announced to the dining room that the Visa gift card was declined and gave me some story about them holding 20%. I don’t know who«them» is but if that is the case why didn’t she mention this when I first gave her the gift card? Instead coming back and announcing loudly that our card was declined so other diners think our credit card was declined… Her table side manner is lacking and for this reason I will not be coming back here.

Amazing beef brisket! Unique flavors and fun atmosphere. Cocktails are great too I just wish they were stronger for the price or a bit deeper… Regardless, best BBQ in Indy. Great staff, super friendly and attentive.

Delicious! A group of 4 of us went and everyone was raving over the brisket, ribs, and corn bread! I had the salad w bbq salmon(pictured), which was also delicious! Friendly staff, fun atmosphere, and ambiance that makes you want to stay a while.

Great service but I, nor my boyfriend, cared for our food. We started with onion rings. We both couldn’t eat too many because they were too salty. I got the chicken with mac and cheese and green beans and he got a burger with fries. The fries came with bone marrow butter. It was too oily. So was the bun on the burger. The meat on the burger was somewhat spongy, like eating a sausage. My chicken was somewhat bland and I needed lots of sauce and it was still just okay to me. I liked the ambience and they had many drink choices, however the food was not to my liking.

I ordered the brisket with a side of fries(hold the jalapeños) and Hoppin’ Johnny. My wife had the pulled pork and green beans and corn bread. Our waiyress, Ashley was very friendly and helpful sharing her opinion and menu recommendations upon request. We will definitely go back.

After hearing good things about North End we decided to meet some friends there for dinner on a Friday night. I really liked the rustic industrial décor. It looked modern but still really inviting. We were greeted right when we walked in and the hostess was quick to accommodate our party even though I wasn’t sure about whether or not we’d need a high chair for one of our younger tablemates(who was yet to arrive). Our server was friendly and efficient. She was not very knowledgable about the beer list but made good cocktail recommendations. The cocktails themselves were a little light on the liquor in my opinion — of the three cocktails I had over the evening they all seemed a little off-balance toward the«other ingredients» side. They were pretty good, just not great. Though, as we sat at the bar after dinner for our final drink, it’s clear that the bartenders put a lot of care into the cocktails and were very personable and attentive. As far as dinner, everything was delicious. I had St. Louis ribs with mac and cheese and my husband had pulled pork with a side of French fries. I was initially puzzled at his choice of fries for a side but it turned out to be a good one as he thought they were great. Well seasoned and served with fresh jalapeños mixed in. There was a jam of some sort on the mac and cheese — one of our friends really liked that touch but I wasn’t a huge fan(overall awesome mac though). Pork and ribs were both awesome! Tender and flavorful on all fronts. Also, a great selection of sauces — I liked them all but didn’t note the names to determine a standout. It was a big ol’ messy, delicious meal — ain’t nobody got time for noting sauce names! Can’t wait to go back to North End. It’s gonna be our go-to for BBQ!

Tonight was our second time at North End. We will be back. Both times we have brought our toddler and it’s gone well. We enjoyed the ribs + one meat entrée. Ribs were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. You do not need sauce. The sauce is a nice bonus. For our other meat we opted for the brisket. It too was exactly as it should be and more. My choice for sauce in the Texas Red. They do offer a Carolina mustard based sauce, something we do not have alot of around here. As for sides, get the mac & cheese. The bacon jam stirred in adds a new level of flavor. I wanted to lick the dish clean. The drink menu is expansive and offers a little bit for everyone. My first drink was the seasonal shake up. Think spiced apple cider, delish. My second cocktail was the rotating house barrel aged drink. It was something with rose. While I was hesitant at first, I was pleased with the selection.

I don’t get to dine here as often as I would like, which may be a good thing for the wallet and diet. Everything I’ve tried here is good and I’ve not tried it all — yet. The cocktails are great and the bar has such a wide selection of whiskey. The cornbread is one of my favorite items on the menu. the cole slaw is good and I normally don’t like cole slaw. The service has always been good, we’ve never been rushed out of there and enjoy our time.

Decided to go here for our anniversary dinner since we had tried their offering at DigIN this summer. My husband and I both had the pulled pork. It was delicious, and they bring you a caddy of 4 different styles of sauce to go with it: KC, Texas Red, Classic, and Carolina. My husband really preferred Classic(he’s a classic kind of guy). I love the Carolina! I was somewhat surprised since it’s the most different of the 4, but I also love mustard so it makes sense. The sides were excellent! As other reviewers said, the jalapeño/bone marrow butter fries will change your life! The mac and cheese was also excellent! Husband got the cornbread and baked beans. He loved the maple bourbon butter on top of the cornbread. A word about the baked beans — not what you’d expect. Instead of a maple/sweet taste, they are more savory. I really enjoyed them, but if you want the traditional sweet beans, just be aware and maybe order something else. Over all, the sides are miles apart from offerings at other places. The service was excellent. We went on a Sunday evening so it wasn’t crowded. We were seated right away, and our server was very nice. The food came out maybe 10 minutes after our drinks! That was a nice surprise, but it makes sense as most of these food items are made in bulk/advance. Even if you aren’t whiskey drinker normally, any of their handmade cocktails will be sure to please you! We got the apple crisp for dessert, and it was very tasty! This place definitely beats out some of the other BBQ joints in town so we will likely be visiting again!

I tried out this place and I’ll say it was good. It was a weird atmosphere, becauw it was like a classy BBQ, just very contradicting ha. But the food was very good. I had wished they had more BBQ sauce flavorS but they weren’t bad. The cornbread with the butter tasted like a pancake jt was amazing. I would suggest trying it out at least once.

We visited last Saturday evening for dinner. I was initially worried we would have to wait, it being Saturday night and all, but we were seated immediately on the patio. It’s fenced and nicely landscaped. Our server Greg was polite and attentive. We started with a Seasonal Shake Up and some sort of beer(hubby always orders weird stuff!). The cocktail was delicious, not too sweet, with a definite kick. The husband raved over whatever brew he picked, apparently it was«the tits» as he called it. Our meals came out immediately, I’m talking within ten minutes of our drinks, which was awesome! The plates are a nice, rustic touch. We both had the brisket with corn bread, rib jam mac n’ cheese and fries. The brisket was excellent, not dry at all, with a nice smoke ring. I have no clue what rib jam is but it gave the mac so much flavor! Fries were crispy, almost a bit too much for my taste, but still tasty. And the corn bread… oh the corn bread. I could have eaten a whole pan. Slightly sweet, and with the cup of butter on top, absolutely delish! Altogether, our bill was $ 47 with tip, which is a bit salty for us. Granted, we did have booze and the portions are decent sizes, but it’s BBQ. Service was great, the atmosphere is relaxing and the food is very good, but 4 stars for the rather hefty price.

Oh Yum. North End BBQ was the perfect spot to take my visiting Mother-In-Law and her sister for a delicious lunch. It wasn’t busy for the Monday Lunch rush but we didn’t mind because we had great service. The BBQ on the menu all sounded incredible and once our waiter brought out the different sauces, I had to get the pulled pork. The meal was huge and not too expensive. I loved my pulled pork and got the bone marrow fries and mac and cheese on the side… Too die for! My favorite sauce was the honey mustard, hands down. And they put like some pan shavings or something smokey on the mac and it was awesome. Love this place for a local Indy spot and will definitely be returning for a yummy night out.
