TGM Avalon Lake Apartments

Avalon Lake is an excellent apartment community if you are looking for something centrally located, reasonably priced, and spacious living. The maintenance and office staff are extremely friendly and helpful and always respond to requests within 24 hours.

I did not enjoy living here. the office staff is rude and talks to you like your a child. the maintenance staff was very careless and never actually fixed any problem I had. the quality of the apartment itself is a joke. the doorknob on my bedroom came of several times and my bathtub stopper «couldn’t be replaced» needless to say I spent way too much money living here

I have enjoyed living here. The staff is somewhat accommodating. After only living there for a few months I was in a car accident and the wrecker took my car keys along with my apartment keys, all it took was one call into the office and they immediately had a loaner key for me. Free of charge. It was really nice of them.
However, I’m only giving three stars because of their lack of speed on maintenance requests and horrific shoveling, salting, and plowing during the winter. During the first major snow storm of 2013 the parking lot wasn’t plowed for three days and we didn’t have power for more than a week. The power, was out of their control, but the plowing and shoveling was absolutely their responsibility.
We also had an incident this fall where the water main broke, leaving us without water. The apartment staff went around to every single apartment telling us not to use the water, but didn’t even bother telling us when it was finally back on. After two days of not having water we called the office where they told us it was back on. How were we supposed to know?!
I have liked my apartment, but will not be renewing my lease in the spring.
