I love coming here! Whether it’s after work for drinks and apps or a lunch with a co-worker, Taylor’s Pub is always a fun time. There are two locations and you’ll find me at the Nora location more than the other. The food is good, drinks are great, and the atmosphere is fun with staff to match. In the evenings, the whole place is dimly lit with TV’s airing whatever sports action of the night and during the day it’s a bit more quiet and private. Their appetizers are very tasty and my faves are their potato skins, mozzarella bites, and tater tots! The other day I visited and ordered their chili which was a perfect selection for a cold day. Tips: *On Wednesday nights from 7:30 — 9:30p, they have Trivia Night — so much fun! *Their draft menu changes all the time and I’m impressed with the variety they have — my favorite right now is the Breakfast Stout from Founders! *When the weather is nice, they have outdoor seating and the atmosphere is great *The waitstaff and bartenders are wonderful here! Very nice and accommodating! Go to Taylor’s Pub(Nora) — you will not be disappointed :)

I’ve about a dozen meals here, from fish and chips to quesadillas to the amazing pot roast sandwich and the best pork tenderloin in town. Combine these great menu choices with a newly deployed set of craft beer choice, great multi-TV sports set up, pool table, juke box and clean, very clean space, and you have a winner. Added bonus: the kitchen is open really late, 2am I think, and I’ve needed that before. Taylor’s Pub is consistently great and I will continue to repeat there.

Great service, perfectly layered nachos and great music. Comfortable seating. Menu is your typical pub food(burgers, salads, pizzas, appetizers) but well prepared. Nice beer selection plus a couple pool tables and a live trivia night.

I went to Taylor’s yesterday with two work associates. We did not know that it was trivia night so the place was packed and the service very much slower. It has a basic bar menu, nothing impressive. I ordered a cup of chilli, which was nothing special at all. Added to that were three pints of draft local beer and I ended up spending $ 25. Which I think is a little high.

We stopped in here for drinks after dinner. They do have a good menu but we didn’t order anything. The space is clean with the customary televisions are everywhere. Service was good. My only complaint is that the music was too loud for the space.(no, I’m not acting like an old lady), it truly didn’t fit the space. One member of our party had been here before and recommended it as comfortable place for us to drink and talk. I’d go back.

I appreciate owners and management who appear to care about the experience of a customer, and this certainly is the case with Taylor’s Pub. After my less than stellar review of our previous visit, management(or the owner… I’m not quite sure) contacted me, apologized, and I decided to give them another try. I must say… it was an entirely different restaurant, and I mean that as a compliment. The service was friendly and spot on. My wife had fish tacos… and proclaimed them as some of the very best she’s ever had. Last visit I got a burger, but this time, I had a craving for a breaded tenderloin, so that’s what I went with. This, my friends, is what an Indiana Tenderloin should be. Hand breaded, tasty, and big. One of the better tenderloins in town, no doubt. Good job, Taylor’s. You obviously care about the customer experience. We’ll be back, and soon.

It had been a while since we stopped in at Taylor’s Pub. But we were in the area last week and decided to stop in for dinner. The server was friendly, but it took a LONG time to get our drinks, meals, and check. They weren’t particularly busy, so this was kind of surprising… and frustrating. The food was very good! I got the fish tacos and they were quite delicious.

Always an interesting atmosphere! The great dishes I’ve had so far are the steak dinner(fantastic special on Sundays!), quesadillas(my fav next to their Rueben), and the awesome nachos! Pool tables conveniently located right next to the bar, late night kitchen, TV and music on the patio, and it’s all within walking distance of my place! I’m hooked!

I went to Taylors to play trivia, have a couple drinks, and hang out. If you’re into trivia Taylor’s is worth trying. Their rules are a little different than trivia games I have played in the past. you can wager points based on your confidence in your answer sort of like Final Jeopardy. The menu was a pretty standard american bar food menu and there was nothing wrong with the food, just nothing exceptional about it either. They did also have a chalk board up advertising daily drink specials.

I look forward to my trivia nights at Taylor’s. It’s a good time with great food and super service. It usually takes me a little longer than the average person to choose one of the many delicious options on their menu. My last visit was no different. After contemplating over all of my favorites, I even asked if they could make something«off menu» for me. I was told very pleasantly they would be more than happy to do this. In the end I couldn’t resist trying the Railsplitter onion rings. It gets its name from the Triton beer that is a key ingredient. Oh my goodness! The combination of the sweet onion with the spicy tingle from the chipotle ranch was amazing! And that batter!!! I think you could dip anything in that batter and it would taste fabulous! Fortunately, they put a lot more effort into their food than that! I have not tried one thing on their menu that is not wonderful! Make sure you give Lynn and Casey a big smile on the way in the door! These ladies are wonderful! I have never had anything but stellar service from these two. Show them some love!

My first trip to Taylor’s Pub with the goal of food, beer, and Monday Night Football. The décor is a little dated but comfortable, and I was greeted and served by staff quickly. Plenty of TV for watching football amid a background of 70’s and 80’s music happily not too loud. The beer choices were good/standard. The food was a little better than usual bar food. Good selection of burger, chicken, and vegetarian choices. I had a tasty ‘California Veggie Burger’ which was a house made black bean burger dressed with guacamole and served on a focaccia bun. Quite tasty. Standard side of pretzels was not as appealling and I should have requested an alternate. Ultimately a comfortable and reasonable bar I will likely return to.

Eekkk! I use to really like Taylor’s Pub. I went there last night with a group of friends and I guess they changed their menu a few times. They’re food is AWFUL and it’s severely overpriced! Also, they’re beers are super super pricey = 6.50. You can go to the brewery and get the same beer for like $ 4 – 5! I don’t plan on going back here again! If you’re looking for a sports bar, go to Scotty’s or anything else.

I use to love Taylors. I would go frequently and grab a beer to go with their chili cheese fries. They have changed their menu a few times over the past year. A pint is über expensive and now the food is utter crap. They have cut the options and lowered the food standards. The waitresses and bartenders are awesome, but even they can’t make up for a piss poor menu, shrinking food portions, bad food and overpriced brews. I’m now a FORMER regular. :(

I’m fixated on good pub food these days and I can’t seem to get enough. Guess I’m tapped out on Thai, Indian, Tibetan, Ethiopian, Vietnamese, and whatever else from my Berkeley days, since all I seem to care about is a good burger with fries when I go out. Taylor’s Pub fits the bill nicely in this respect. From the outside, it is very unprepossessing. But the inside is quite nice – standard bar type of hangout that has big screen tvs for sports fans, but not in that screaming in-your-face way that you get at Buffalo Wild Wings or any other hideous noisy overwhelming sports bar. It is also incredibly clean and doesn’t have that sour beer smell that dingy pubs get. Every surface was polished till it shone and as I’m a clean fanatic, this was a big plus for me. The menu is solid and the burger and fries we had there were delicious. Very reasonably priced too, and(a biggie) no smoking inside.

Something about this place is more than the sum of its parts. Is the food amazing? Nope, it’s standard pub fare. Are the drinks cheap? Certainly not. In fact, I strongly recommend against ordering a pitcher, since there’s no discount – incredibly, it will cost just as much as simply ordering four pints.(If you don’t know that going in, it’s a very unpleasant surprise at the night of the night, let me tell you.) Is there ever live music? No, which really should be damning for a musician like myself. What it does offer: a respectable selection of draught beer, including local microbrews; a couple of pool tables in the back; a jukebox; and, most importantly, a laid-back, easy-going atmosphere. This a bar where adults go. If you’re like me, and your college days are well behind you, you might appreciate not feeling like you should tell everyone in the place to go do their homework and call their moms. And the volume levels are such that you can actually hear the person next to you, although there’s certainly no shortage of TVs if your friends aren’t gifted conversationalists. In short, Taylor’s isn’t earth-shattering in any respect, but it’s a great place to go to relax, have a beer, and not be on the«scene.» It’s like the Cheers of Nora.

I like coming to this place when I am looking for a laid back atmosphere to get a few beers and watch some sports. It is usually not really crowded, so it is easy to find a seat in a quieter atmosphere. I’ve only been here a few times, but the bartenders always treat you like a regular and like to make conversation if you are sitting at the bar, which I enjoy. It is definitely a bar that seems to draw a crowd of regulars, and the bartenders seem to know everybody that walks in by name. The service has always been attentive and the food is really good pub style food at a very reasonable price. I have never had it, but the pizza they serve looks delicious and I have seen a few people coming in just to pick one up to go. They have a handful of a good selection of rotating beers on tap, and keep a good assortment of bottles as well. They have both food and drink specials depending on the day, and prices are on par or cheaper than most bars, in my opinion. It seems that the music is usually playing form a jukebox, so it can vary quite a bit, but is always at a good volume that you can talk over to someone sitting next to you. There are a few TV’s over the bar that usually have sports on, and if I remember correctly, they put the sound over the speakers for some of the bigger IU basketball games. There are a couple pool tables and golden tee if you are looking for something like that. They offer trivia on Wednesday nights, and while I haven’t been able to make it there for one of those, I can say that I have been to other trivia nights put on by the company that goes to Taylor’s and it was always a lot of fun.

Totally decent neighborhood pub. This place definitely caters to a sports crowd, and I recently watched an excellent IU basketball game with a packed house. The beer selection is well above average compared to other similar places, and the servers and bartenders are quite friendly. This place is exactly what you would expect out of a neighborhood pub, with just a little bit extra on top. One major benefit — it’s right off the Monon Trail. Great place to stop off for a frosty beer after a nice long bike ride or walk.

I really enjoyed this place. The wings were solid. The Black & Blue Burger was excellent, although the bun was somewhat uninspiring. And they even had a few craft beers on tap — including and especially Triton’s Railhammer IPA. Overall, it was a good experience. People who say there’s nothing good on 86th street haven’t been to Taylor’s II.

Overall excellent ! High quality food, staff, atmosphere, clean, nice décor, good tv’s…very reasonable pricing… overall a superb value for a neighborhood pub. While probably considered a regular of some sort… I was compelled to write a review after recent experiences at Bru Burger. Lots of folks love Bru Burger and it is an obvious success. Half the price of Bru… with what I consider a much better product… although you are not going to get the gourmet toppings like goat cheese… but you will get a damn good basic, simple, American burger ! Obviously now non smoking. Food is very good, truly one of the better burgers in Indy… and likely the best I have had consistently, Well seasoned ground beef… always cooked EXACTLY as ordered. High quality bun that remains intact throughout the ingesting experience. Fries, while frozen… are always superb. This is the ONLY place I eat frequently in Indy where the food consistently comes out TOOHOT to eat… which means it is still damn warm when you finally give up. The kitchen staff do an amazing job… and you can watch them work… how they push so much food and stay so damn clean is amazing… I can’t make breakfast cereal without spilling something on my shirt. The only thing different I would choose… is a multi grain bun option, and fresh sliced jalapenos briefly grilled on the flat top before presentation… instead of the pickled ones. Good local micros on tap, not a huge selection, but typically well thought out and changing. Service is always excellent from the exceedingly friendly and funny staff. High quality tv’s…also tvs on the deck outside. Fun trivia night. Great place to catch a game as well. Pretty good soccer bar for those inclined.

Lovely décor, solid pub food. Beer list was your average run of the mill selection(no microbrews here). Server was… In a bad mood? Slow? Not happy to have a table of seven during a horribly slow Friday night? We had to ask for food menus twice, waited on our check for forever, and battled her strange and indifferent tone throughout the night. She made us suuuuper uncomfortable. Her aside, because servers come and go, we’re willing to return.
