Chicken Thai taco is amazing with Siracha sauce… full of flavor and spices. Cabbage is a nice touch with onions and carrots. I def need to try more of their tacos! As of right now I don’t know what else to sH about this food truck… until next time.

I had three tacos, and here is my breakdown of my experience: Sweet chili chicken taco(5⁄5): It reminded me of a white bean chicken chili I make, but sweetened and in taco form. I was initially weirded out by the concept, but it turned out to be amazing, and I highly recommend it!!! Jamaican jerk(3.5÷5): I haven’t really had enough Jamaican food to know how the flavors should taste, so take this review for what it’s worth. The meat was extremely peppery, and the taco had the perfect amount of kick for me. However, that’s not saying much since I’m weak sauce — spice lovers will need to incorporate the truck’s heat condiments. Tex-mex(4⁄5): The ground beef had a subtle sweet flavor to it which I loved. However, I couldn’t give it 5 stars because there was no chunky tomato/salsa concoction — this taco definitely needed at least one other ingredient. The well-sized tacos left me completely stuffed all afternoon, which is quite the feat. The modest amount of cheese was refreshing because cheese should be served merely as a topping on tacos and not a filler. Also, the coleslaw on all the tacos were crispy, so bonus points for that.(I loathe mushy slaw!). As a suggestion, it would be nice to see a side dish(even if it’s just salsa and chips) or a refreshing drink to offer a comprehensive meal experience. This truck definitely has a lot of potential, and I look forward to trying it again(especially since I wanted to try the other flavors listed on the website). Please return to the Pyramids and also put yourself on Indy food trucks twitter page, so I can easily stalk you and other trucks when you’re in the area :)

Uh, yum. Seriously. Tacos Without Boarders was contacted by our HR Director, who has been successfully finding food trucks to stop in front of our building at 4740 Kingsway Drive. We don’t get many food trucks over at 52nd and Keystone, but seriously, HUNGRYPEOPLEAREEVERYWHERE. Not just downtown! So I really appreciate Tacos Without Boarders for giving us a chance and stopping by. I tried the Thai Chicken and Sweet Chili Chicken tacos, both ahhhhhmazing. One of my pet peeves with tacos is when the texture is just… mush. These tacos were not mush. Tacos Without Boarders adds a slaw of some sorts onto each taco, giving it crunch and a tart flavor that counteracts the spicyness of the tacos. I also really appreciated the moderate amount of cheese. I like cheese, but not when it’s globbed onto my food as a filler. Tacos Without Boarders gets it right. Also, HUGE kudos to them for donating a portion of the proceeds of the day’s sales to our nonprofit. I spent a few moments talking to the two men running the truck, and they were so nice and happy to be there with us. THANKYOU!

I had the spicy, spicy peanut chicken tacos. Soft shelled and delicious! While they have a kick, they are not unbearably spicy. Just right. They have some slaw stuff on them that cuts the heat a little. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. These tacos were da bomb dot com. Wish they would come to Kansas City! Well worth $ 8 for three. Buy them!

I tried this truck downtown during all the Super Bowl hoopla, and I can’t say I was blown away. I loved the food trucks in Philly, which are plentiful and competitive(pricewise), so I was a little dismayed to see that a very small taco was $ 3. I guess since food trucks are«so hot right now»(Mugatu), they feel justified in their prices. However, the guys working the truck were very friendly. They offered to let us try the different meats before we got anything, and if you know me, free is the quickest way to my heart. My friend and I sampled the Sweet Chile Chicken, which I did not like(too sweet), but she loved. I ended up getting a normal ground beef taco, which tasted like the Old El Paso taco kit that I make at home. Yeah, it was good, but nothing amazing. The toppings on the taco were pretty cool. I wasn’t sure what it was exactly, but it seemed like some kind of cucumbery/cabbagey thing with feta-like cheese on top? It was dark, and I couldn’t see what I was eating, but they tasted really good and unique.

Food Tried:($ 7 for three tacos) — Thai Chicken Taco — Sweet Taco — Spicy Taco First off, I owe one of my monumental, and quite common, apologies to Tacos Without Borders for not having written this review four weeks ago when I promised I would, but I ended up jumping on a plane to Paris and getting caught up in three weeks of work and now you know it’s been a month and it’s Christmas and the least I could do to finish getting caught up on what I said I would do before the end of the year. Also, what with having just switched phones, the photos on my old phone are now in Indianapolis, while I am in Denver for the holidays. Which basically means that I am doing the best I can and it’s a sad effort and I apologize. So I had Tacos Without Borders back before Thanksgiving, and given that they can officially be titled The Most Elusive Food Truck in the city, when I found out that they would be parked outside one of the new breweries in town, Triton Brewing, I decided it was an unmissable opportunity: new food and new beer. When I came out, it was freezing, but as my food was prepared, I stood up in the front of the truck near the heater, and then brought my food into the brewery to enjoy it. I had the pleasure of trying a few Triton brews, and ended up pairing with the Magnificent Amber. I wanted to mention that because I made sure to mention to the bartender and various patrons that I was writing a blog and would definitely give props to Triton for putting me up while I sampled the fares. I can’t remember exactly what I had, but I know that the base taco was a Thai chicken taco, and that the other two tacos I tried had the Thai sauce as a base, and one was curried, while the other was sweet. I couldn’t honestly tell you which one I loved more, because they were all overwhelmingly flavorful in a great way, but the spicy, curried taco made my mouth burn so much that no beer nor water could abate the fire. Seriously, I have never had food so spice yet so amazingly good. I couldn’t stop eating, despite the pain. I sacrificed myself for that meal, folks, and I’d do it again, despite what I’m sure was permanent tissue damage. Just warning folks: Tacos Without Borders does HOT. The presentation of my food was great: three tacos tucked in side-by-side, topped with fresh fruits and veggies, crunchy, hot, and juicy. The time I waited in the truck was well worth it, as was the price(as I could repeat again, which was standard for the trucks). For recommendations, it’s been a while, but I feel like the best thing I could try to suggest is that there been better publicity for when you’re going to be on the road, because often I’ve missed good opportunities to have great food from the truck because I couldn’t plan ahead with advance notice.

These are not you average everyday tacos. No salsa needed because that would just take away from the taco. My favorite is the spicy peanut and my wife is a big fan of the sweet chili chicken. We had been talking it up and brought some friends to the food truck event and now they are hooked too! I tried a bunch of food trucks in Minneapolis when i lived there and none of them compare. I would eat this 7 days a week. I can’t say enough about the food and the owner is one of the nicer people you will ever meet. Not sure he has ever met a stranger.

After visiting one of their lunch stops a couple months ago, I was thrilled to learn that Tacos Without Borders had signed on to cater a recent work event. Ryan arrived on location in the truck, prepared everything and then brought in tacos and fixins for 100 people. His unique take on ethnic flavors provided the perfect menu for our diverse group. My favorite were the Sweet Chili Chicken tacos that reminded me of my days in Australia.

Well, I had been hearing about«taco trucks» for several years now and was excitied to finally try one here in Indianapolis. I know Indianapolis does tend to be a little slow to get on board with trends, but I have a «better late than never» attitude when it comes to these things. Tacos Without Borders is an excellent addition to the city and I had a wonderful experience. They were parked just steps from my car and as I left class, the taco-y goodness was just waiting for me. I tried a combo of tastes, the Thai Chicken, Tex Mex Beef and the Sweet Chili chicken. Each of the tacos comes with Roasted Tomato Salsa, a very colorful veggie slaw, Cotija Cheese, and Green Onions.(I opted out of the onions) I have to say my two favorites were the Thai and the Sweet Chili, but the Tex Mex was good, too. Three tacos easily filled me up and while they had a little«kick,» it wasn’t overpowering. I must mention the service. Being a new experience, I didn’t know what to expect. However the proprietor was extremely helpful and friendly. So, if you happen to see the Tacos Without Borders truck in your neighborhood, give them a try. It’s a great value and delicious eats. (Their logo is extremely cool, too!)
