Subway

I don’t go to Subway too often, but this time was a specifically bad experience. The food is exactly what you’d expect if you’ve ever been to a Subway. If not, think subs with average ingredients.
The trip was so disappointing because I stopped in after doing some errands while on my lunch break. I was happy to see there was only one other customer and the worker, so I assumed it would be fast.
This was not accurate, it took quite a while. The other woman in the store was not a customer, but a friend or romantic interest of the man working. They were in the middle of a conversation when I approached to order, and he did not break from the conversation to assist me.
Eventually, he did come over and get my order. It was very awkward, because he would ask a question while working that was for the woman in the shop, not me. And I kept thinking he was acknowledging me. Every once in a while, he would break to ask me how I wanted my sub. Sometimes while I would answer, the two would go back to conversing and I would just have to wait to repeat what I had said until they hit another break.
It was super annoying.
The sub was fine, though.

The staff was super friendly. The guy who made my sandwich engaged every customer who he helped. The store was clean. My sub was good (I opted for the Italian BMT since it was the featured $ 5 foot long. Thanks for helping my indecisiveness!).
