Square donuts, how adorable are you? People are going to want to whack me over the head, but I like this location better than the Terre Haute one. Quainter? Yes. But brighter and more wonderful? Yes as well. The man who«runs» it is cordial and nice. The donuts themselves are awesome(and yes I have met a donut or two I couldn’t bear to finish — perish the thought). This morning I got myself a 16 oz coffee(the only downer) and two donuts(chocolate square, chocolate filled square). The coffee is never great. It’s weak and tastes fairly watery. I don’t know if my coffee tolerance is too high these days… But even that would only account for a bit of that. The coffee is SO bloody cheap though so I didn’t feel slighted. Flavors were house blend. Bold. Cinnamon cream. And Jamaican me crazy. Donuts were ace as always. Not sure what else to say. Conveniently located downtown and in near proximity to my work. Double bonus.

Square Donuts? Yes, please! I love this donut shop! I may be a kind of «boring» donut person — as I tend to stick to glazed or sprinkles — but their glazed donuts are DELICIOUS! Their location is great, right downtown near the circle! And you should make sure you get there early, because on some rare occasions — I’ve been there when they have ran out of donuts. $ 1.80 will get you two donuts @ 90¢ each after tax. And I can’t think of a better way to spend a $ 1! If you’re craving a donut — check this place out!

I will post an update after I’ve had a fresh square donut hot out of the fryer. I had some that were delivered fresh same-day, and I can’t get excited about them. The shape is novel. More donut per donut! The cinnamon sugar variety seemed to be a glazed donut with an added coating of sugar. Too much in my opinion — glaze or cinnamon sugar, not both. At the end of the day, these donuts are still donuts, and I’d gleefully eat 3 or 4 at a time. But if I had a $ 10 bill and other donut options in front of me I’d venture to try something else.

They are good donuts, but to me they are just as good as every bakery that makes homemade donuts. They are square, yes. I would come here again. My one complaint was service. They were not very friendly. I really liked the jelly filled. The coffee was okay. I would say get some to go and then hen a coffee elsewhere or make it yourself at home. Do not get the decaf! And the service got better as we were there. Maybe she was just tired.

As a Terre Haute native, I grew up with Sqaure Donuts. My grandpa worked all week long, but when he came home on the weekend we always knew there would be donuts in the morning. Their donuts are nothing less than amazing. It could be the nostalgia talking, or perhaps because I haven’t tried many others, but these are wonderful. The classic square donut is, of course, amazing, but I also highly recommend the raspberry or lemon filled ones. I feel that these are decently priced. If you’re trying to warm up to a boss or some coworkers, just grab a dozen or two of these and you’d be good to go!

Square Donuts are the cat’s meow in donuts. They finally got here from Terre Haute. For years we would stop in Terre Haute on our way West, pick up a dozen or so and eat them all the way to Denver. The raised and jelly-filled are our favorites. The former are light and tasty. The latter are generously filled with jelly and make eating just one(at a time) a challenge. I would usually be done with mine by the time we reached WaKeeney, KS… well short of Denver.

Who doesn’t like donuts? Well in any case I love donuts and I love these donuts. The service was super friendly and the donuts were fresh. I have only tried the glazed donuts but they were sooo good. They are a bit dense but not too dense great to compliment a nice cup of coffee which they also serve there. If you are downtown and would like a donut make sure that you give this place a shot you will not be disapointed.

I love doughnuts. I especially love a great regular glazed yeast donut. And Square Donut’s yeast is fantastic. Soft, just the right amount of chewiness, and a perfect glaze. My wife got a cinnamon covered yeast, which she said was awesome. I also got a peanut butter and jelly, which rocked! The sweet peanut butter icing with the tangy jelly was perfect in the soft donut. I also got a bold coffee, which had a rich flavor. I hate that I liked these donuts so much. I will have to resist stopping here all the time.

These are just as good as the legendary Long’s Bakery donuts and they take debit cards. Get the maple cream filled dounts or the PB&J…if I haven’t already eaten them all. I think they’re half-price after noon.

I grew up eating these donuts, so naturally I am biased to liking these the best. The original glazed is a classic. I like to get them with the chocolate frosting. My other favorites are the chocolate Bavarian, powdered Bavarian, and tractor tires(it’s like a fried and glazed cake donut). There also seasonal flavors like Girl Scout cookie Thin Mint donuts. Square Donuts are such an affordable way to treat your coworkers. I can walk out of there with 5 dozen and totally feel like a baller.

Who would ever have expected a shop with a name like«Square Donuts» would sell donuts that are square? And here I thought it was where I should go to get my muffler changed! Seriously, this is a nice, friendly little donut shop just a block or so away from where I work. Its regular glazed donuts are tasty, easily better than grocery donuts and MUCH better than Krispy Kreme, about on a par with other donut shops I’ve visited in the past. And they are, indeed, square. It does make them fit nicely in a box with no wasted space, doesn’t it? I’ve also had their peanut butter and jelly donuts. Can’t say I’ve ever had a PBJ donut before, but now whenever I go there, I always snag one of them and one of the regular glazed. Tasty! The first time I went to visit there, I accidentally spilled my coffee all over the floor when I got up, forgetting that my cell phone on the table was still attached to an external battery in my pocket. Whoops! Luckily they gave me another cup, because it was very GOOD coffee.(As is usual at a donut shop. One of my rules of thumb is that you can almost always count on a donut shop to have the very best coffee.) The only disappointing thing is that one day a few weeks ago I went by to have some of their donuts and they were CLOSED due to an equipment malfunction! I hope that doesn’t happen too often.

I was very impressed! I had a plain glazed and a glazed with a lemon filling. I would go back again if I ever find myself in Indy.

I am downgrading my review based on my last few attempts to eat there. Today they had at 647(they open at 630) just one blend of coffee brewed which happened to be the one I dislike the most. Last visit the donuts did not taste fresh. My cake donuts had that day old texture, while my glazed was still pretty decent. Visit before that they were serving this nasty liquid non dairy creamer instead of real dairy. There have been multiple times that I have gone by at approximately 645 and it has not been open yet. I have gone on to other places to have my coffee in the morning. It is too bad, I like for our local businesses to succeed, but I have given them enough opportunities.

Meh. The donuts were fine but didn’t blow me away. Coffee was fine. In other words: nothing wrong with the place but nothing to write home about either.

One of the best things that Terre Haute has ever done! A great donut that is light, crispy and never disappointing. My favs are the maple and chocolate crème filled. There is normally always parking on the street but it is meter.

If only they were open when they were supposed to be. I stopped there this morning to get a few dozen donuts to bring to work. I got there at 6:55am(Wednesday). The place was completely dark and locked up — it certainly didn’t look like they might be opening at 7 or I would have waited. The website says they open at 6:30. I cannot buy donuts from you if you refuse to sell them. Update 3÷9÷14 — closed again at 6:55am. Please consistently open ONTIME. Update 6÷3÷14 — closed again at 6:53am. Is this place trying to go out of business? Establish hours and FOLLOW them. 3÷23÷15 — looks like they finally are following their hours. Great donuts — when you can get them.

Wow — I hadn’t had a donut in years and since my office is right above and my coworker is now addicted, I’ve been tasting all the varieties Square Donuts has to offer. These may very well be the best donuts I’ve had, yes, even including Long’s… The yeast are perfect –delicious, fresh, sweet, melt in your mouth. The blueberry cake is unlike any I’ve had. These guys know what they’re doing — the staff and owner are super friendly too! With a cup of coffee, these are quite a treat!

Holy Crap! Square Donuts kick ass. After seeing they were opening downtown a while ago, then stalking from afar for a few weeks(stupid health goals) I finally, FINALLY, let myself venture in and I was not disappointed. I purchased 1 square yeast, scrumptious, 1 square cinnamon, divine, and 1 square jelly filled and peanut butter iced: Life. Changing. These donuts are not just good, they’re exceptional. The 2 fellas working there this morning were also super friendly. 1 got my mix of donut goodness and the other grabbed my Jamaiican Me Crazy coffee, also really tasty, even for a non-coffee drinker. In and out in just a few minutes and didn’t break the bank… just my diet! Do what I did: work out, give into your craving, love the gluttonous life you just lived.
