The people commenting on how friendly the staff is are right on. This was my first trip and from receptionist to my stylist to the stylist next to us were all extremely friendly and welcoming.
The haircut I received was fantastic, as was the beard trim, and shampoo. All at a very reasonable price and in a very clean modern shop.
I have already scheduled my next appointment.

I’ve been coming here to get my hair cut since 2011, and I adore this place. I’m partial to my stylist, Andrew, but everyone is wonderful. I even had my wedding hair done here. Much Irvington love to this generous, community-​centered business.

Very friendly staff, knowledgable stylists. Been a loyal customer for two years now and have no intention of leaving. I love the skin and hair products available for purchase. I’ve received compliments on my haircuts as well as my complexion from friends and family. Because Snips.

I have had my nails done every two weeks at Snips for over a year. The nail tech was fresh out of school when I started, so the first few times I had some minor chipping issues. However, in the last 6 months or so the shellac mani has stayed looking great until it was time for the next appointment. The tech has always conferred with me to ask about any problems and see what I want done, offers suggestions if I ask. She has done hand painted designs when I needed something fancy, including hand painted French tips that were STUNNING. She is quite the artist! I have also had several pedis that were just as good. I’m a retired nurse who is a stickler about pedi cleanliness and have found her to be impeccably clean. I have found the staff at the salon to be very friendly. I have purchased some higher end makeup there that has been wonderful as well. I am most impressed with this salon!

I have only been here twice, both times for their nail services. The first time my girl did a nice job on my mani/​pedi although it took her awhile (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing). The second time I went I had a different girl and I didn’t like her as much, she was a little more unprofessional and did a bad job on my mani/​pedi. The toes were especially spotty, and that’s the whole reason I get my nails done in the first place. On the upside they can usually get you in fairly quickly with appointments although I never attempted a walk in so not sure about that. They sometimes have good Facebook deals too, so all-​in-​all it’s just ok.

The products here are excellent for sensitive scalps. Anthony does a great job with color and cut. Products like Deva Curl, Kendra are avail here. The people are friendly send reminders via phone or email. There is a parking lot. Prices are reasonable and do not break the bank.

Great salon! Travis is an amazing stylist. Will listen to what you want, but still share his ideas to allow you to come to a great collaboration of style ideas. And Snips is always so accommodating. Anytime I’ve ever needed a quick trim or bang touch-​up, I’ve been able to get it with no problem.

Awesome salon !! Specialize in family friendly professional services … Also very fashion forward !! Stylists work hard to update their skills and keep current with trends.

Ignore the previous reviewer’s comments– despite the toolboxes (which really aren’t that bad. how catty?!), Snips is the only place in Indianapolis that I’ll get my hair done. And not just my own hair, but my daughter’s, mom’s, and even my grandma go to Snips. I’ve been to A LOT of upmarket salons in Indianapolis and the only place that I trust with my hair is Snips. Not only are the technicians amazing (seriously, everyone that I know that has gone to Snips hasn’t said one bad thing about the place– and they’ve all seen different people at different times!) but they’re extremely down to earth, which is a lot more than I can say for other salons in town– you won’t find pretention only awesome people and reasonable prices. If I’m going to throw $ 100+ at a salon every 6−8wks (or so) I’m going to go to a salon that I trust… which is why I go to Snips. I know I won’t walk out with a jacked-​up haircut or a bad dye job.

They have a great selection of arty jewelry, and carry multiple artist’s lines.
As for the salon… They use large cabinet style tool boxes for the designers to put their «tools» in. Lot’s of diamond plate about… can u say tryin to hard? 1994 called and it wants it’s grunge back.
Stuff like this should be a warning to you that this salon is more about image than skill!
One more then I’ll stop: Monster Garage called and it wants it’s set back.
