I called from California looking for a deeply discounted item. As this was about the 50th store I had called, with varying responses, my optimism was waning a bit. But to my surprise, this store rose above and treated my little sale like the most important thing in the world. Melissa in the stock room took it upon herself to «find» the item, especially after hearing my plea. I was overjoyed — only because I had a solution to my problem. Further, Michelle who rang me up offered to create the shipping label herself to ensure that it went out and was packaged correctly. My faith has been restored and it should be known that these two ladies really know customer service and the Williams Sonoma mission. Thank you both — — I hope you are recognized by management for embracing the spirit of Pottery Barn! Love from California!

Pottery Barn is a nice place to shop, but it’s not for everyone. The really stick to a very rustic/country theme with all of their furniture and accessories. Great store though and the staff is always ready and willing to help!

Again, this store disappoints: I walked into Pottery Barn around 8:40pm and the woman working there(Cathy) snapped sneeringly«can I HELP you?» and then looked at her watch as if to say I shouldn’t have even inconvenienced her as so much as to step foot in the store 20 minutes before closing to browse. I honestly don’t know why I even bother stepping foot into this store. Quite a contrast to JCrew, which I popped into J Crew at 8:45pm. I walked through to get to the men’s area, passing 3 employees working the register or busy folding. Each of them made eye contact, smiled, greeted me genuinely or asked if I needed help. All I can say is what a difference! It is hard to find sincerity or a genuine dedication to good service, or to making your customer feel welcomed, hat’s off to the team at JCrew for demonstrating what customer service is supposed to look like.

Pottery Barn is a good thing. A very good thing. They have a large selection of household wares, from dishes to glassware to decorative knick-knacks. Their stuff is cheap, pretty, somewhat unusual and good quality. As Misse said, the store lay-out is very pretty and easy to navigate. I don’t much like to shop – not at all, really – but I like coming in here. I got a nice wine decanter for my dad last Christmas. This is also a great place to come if you really get into decorating for the holidays. Last year, I was sorely tempted to pick up some of the charming snowflake plates or the cute little reindeer glass sets. The prices were very good, but I just don’t do well with too much stuff around.

I always end up at Pottery Barn when I am doing my holiday shopping. I really love this location because of the way the store is layed out. The staff is very helpful!
