Came her on a recommendation from our waitress at Nada, so we HAD to try it. Access is made off Pearl Street(think alley), so it’s not wall-to-wall crowded or overbearing. Went on a Tuesday night about 7pm and only a few tables were empty. Good craft beer options, which is always great with pizza. You can’t go wrong with the pear gorgonzola pizza; the caprese is a close second. Good solid pizza without a lot of fanfare, but fun options to make it memorable.

I like the atmosphere and thought the Pizza was really good. I had deep dish supreme and it was nice and crispy crust. Side salad with a dill ranch dressing was good. I would not order the breadsticks again though. Too doughy for me. It was like eating a warmed up thick slice of white bread with cheese on it.

Nice place. Waitress was attentive and did a great job. We enjoyed salad and the cheese bread sticks. I would get both again. We had a handtossed sausage pizza. The pizza itself was not the best becuase the sausage was terrible. I would not recommend the sausage at all. If you enjoy eating sausage, don’t come here to eat it.

Pearl Street is my go-to late evening stop when I am more in the mood for a good pint of beer and a low-key atmosphere to pull up a seat at the bar as opposed to the cheap beer and party atmospheres that most of the rest of the places around it tend to have at night. They are open late, but it never seems very crowded in the evening. They have plenty of seating both at the bar and at tables throughout the restaurant. They keep it a little darker inside, and the already industrial feel with the exposed ductwork and bricks gives the place a nice vibe to sit down and enjoy the evening. I have only eaten food here a couple of times, but their pizza is good and their breadsticks make for a great late night snack. It’s usually a little later than families are out for dinner when I am here, but I do think that it is family friendly. This place certainly respects a good beer, and they have one of the better tap lists in the immediate vicinity. They keep their list on a big chalk board above the bar. Don’t quote me on this, but I would guess they have about 20 taps of craft stuff. They do plenty of local brews but also bring in new stuff from elsewhere. I don’t go here enough to know how quickly they rotate beers, but it seems like there is always plenty of new options that make it on between visits. The beer options cover most of the spectrum as far as styles go. The bartenders and wait staff are usually friendly and good at their jobs. They have at least a few TVs over the bar area that have on sports, and they certainly like their local teams here. I know that later in the evenings they have one of those TouchTunes jukeboxes things that the patrons can spend money to play songs they want to hear. It isn’t a loud music place though and you can easily have a conversation with your table. It seems like they have specials for drinks and food just about every night of the week. Overall, it’s a great spot that has a nice comfy atmosphere. They always have an impressive tap list, and there is usually always room to get a table to catch up with friends or pull up a chair to the bar to watch some sports. It’s definitely worth a trip down the alley to make a visit.

Location… this pizza place is hidden away in an alley downtown. The only reason I found it was Unilocal.I would not go here. after dark by myself. Food… we ordered cheese sticks and a deep dish pizza. Both arrived very quickly. The cheese sauce that came with the cheese sticks was good. I was not a fan of the marinara sauce. With that said I did not like the pizza sauce. It was very tangy. Atmosphere… I loved the atmosphere. Very laid back and casual. They seemed to have a big variety of beers on tap and alot of drink specials. Every employee I encountered was very outgoing and friendly. I felt welcomed. Best part is 10% off for checking in on Unilocal

Been coming here since they opened. I do like deep dish pizza and this place makes my top 5. Service is good especially when I go which is usually sat or sun afternoon to watch games. Giving a 4 mainly on menu outside of pizza is lacking and beer choices I think could be a little more rounded out gimme a fountain sq pils and I would be happy.

Food was good, however the service left s bit to be desired. I had to awkwardly call someone over to get plates for our appetizers after waiting about 5 minutes(after the appetizer arrived– we just had to stare at it). Every time we needed something(like the check or another beer) it felt like we were really putting them out.

Came in on a lunch business meeting on a Friday afternoon. Was greeted and served my drink right away. Very friendly atmosphere. However, I ordered the deep dish mahgerita pizza and was not impressed. It was very bland. I’ll return but I’ll be trying something else on the menu for sure.

Maybe its the Chicago in me? Maybe the fact that I worked at a couple of Chicago’s prestigious Italian Family owned restaurants or maybe I am just a food snob =P I was not feeling the pizza at all. I was expecting a good thin crust not great, but good. What I got was something that you can buy at your local grocery store, you know? Those 3 for $ 11 type of deal?(digiornos?) The sauce tasted canned the vegetables were not properly cooked(where in a regular pizza place harder vegetables are usually sauteed ahead of time so that they are properly cooked once in the oven.) All of this being said, the pizza was edible. I would drop in if I had to, not a special trip kind of place. Here is the good part. The service was excellent, we were greeted with kind faces and the server was patient and really friendly! I LOVED the mini calzones. I would actually go back for the mini calzones only. THEYWEREGOOD! A delicate dough pocket stuffed with the meat of your choice, mozzarella cheese and ricotta. They have plenty of local beer on draft and a decent wine list. Service: A Location: B Atmosphere: A Customer Service: A Beer: A+ Pizza: D– I have YET to find an Amazing pizza place in Indy.

Antipasto skewers are my fav. Worth a try if you like that kinda stuff. Pizza is good. Nothing crazy. Waitress needs better people skills. Really short and to the point. Find by me but comes across like she just found out her husband was cheating and is taking it out on her work. Will return in the future.

If I had written this when my crew first discovered this place a couple of years back it would have been an easy 5 stars. Pizza was awesome, soup was beyond awesome, and the roast beef sandwich was just ridiculous, and service was great. Now, though… not so much. Yesterday our server disappeared for 10 minutes after taking our drink order. Place was literally packed and she’s nowhere to be seen. Next, everyone ordered the soup on my recommendation, and while it was good, it just wasn’t what it used to be. Lastly, I ordered my go-to, the roast beef sandwich. Toasted hoagie roll, piled high shredded beef, melted cheese. In the past the roast beef was so fresh it was dripping a little grease. This trip it tasted like it’d been sitting there at least since the previous day and I burnt my mouth when taking a bite. As in, literally injured myself(got a freaking scab on the corner of my mouth that looks like herpes thanks to that sandwich). No warning from the waitress, and nothing in my past visits to indicate this thing was going to be on par with lava or McD’s coffee. On the plus side, the beer selection is still good. Just don’t ask your waitress what’s on tap. Ours told us there are 18 taps and gestured to their board, which I couldn’t read even with my glasses on. They had bottled Arrogant Bastard, so I went with that. Hate to say it, because this used to be my joint, but I probably won’t be back.

This is a great place for great pizza! I came here with my wife and daughter for lunch. The atmosphere is clean and open. The bread sticks are awesome! The pizza is a very classic hearty pie with lots of flavor and toppings! And the price is very reasonable. Our waitress was new, and did a very good job! She was very friendly and made it a point to engage with us. Not to the point where she was annoying, just the right amount to make you feel welcome. Maybe a little odd to some, but she even referred to us a «friend» or «friends» while addressing us. A nice touch :) I would recommend this cozy pizzeria to anyone with a hankering for some good chow!

I have been here with my group a few times… This place started out oh so good, but the food quality as well as the service has steadily declined here. It hit an all time low at my last visit, or should I say attempted visit. I organize for a meet-up group, so I make reservations for 10 – 20 people several times a week and as I stated I have been here a few times. Always made reservations and never had a problem with that. Until now. So this happens to be game day and the place was packed, but I had made reservations for 12. We all start to show up and are told there are no reservations because they do not take reservations. So I ask to speak to the manager, let him know that I had reservations, now being told that they do not take reservations and asked what is going on. He proceeds to tell me again that they do not take reservations; however after I tell him I know better because I have been here before, he then tells me he is going to get his reservation book… excuse me? How do you have a reservation book if you don’t take reservations? No reservations are listed. He asked when I made the reservations and I tell him about 8 weeks ago, he proceeds to tell me that probably the game schedule wasn’t out yet at that time, once there is a game they cross the day out for reservations. Makes sense, but could you call me and let me know? Could you try to be a bit helpful now and maybe get the staff to help us get the next few tables that get up so I can get this group in? We’re willing to sit at separate tables, but no. He slammed his book shut, told me there is nothing he can do and to come back another time. Things happen, I understand that, but it is how you handle a problem once one arises that separates a business that cares about their customers from one who doesn’t give a ‘hoot’. As far as coming back is concerned, I don’t think I ever will. What businesses like this one always seem to forget is that negative experiences spread by word of mouth so much quicker than good experiences. Maybe you didn’t need our 250 – 350 $ this day, but you may wish you had it another day. So we went next door to Napolese, where the food was great, the service was good and they tried really hard to get us all in as quickly as possible.

I have been here several times and have always had a good experience. Most recently I went with a group of 9 people and the staff was very accommodating to getting seating arranged for the whole group. Most of their tables sit 4 so there was some rearranging to be done. We went during Devour Downtown this past time and the deal there is incredible. If you can hit it up during that event and prepare to walk away afterwards stuffed, or should I say waddle. Even if not during Devour, Pearl Street is very affordable and has a great atmosphere for hanging out and watching sports. They usually have a good craft beer menu and specials throughout the week. The pizza is very tasty and on par with some of the more well known pizza places in Indy. The appetizers and salads are good also. Some people don’t see this gem of a restaurant tucked away in the alley. The alley is probably the only drawback to the place as sometimes there are some unsavory characters hanging out in the alley or accosting the customers before and after they enter. Not much to be done about that, and I don’t blame the restaurant, it just comes along with the location. My favorite time at Pearl Street was last year on a Monday night during the NFL season. Some of my buddies had come from out of town and we went to watch the game at Buffalo Wild Wings around the corner. During the game around 10pm the waitress let us know they would be closing up soon… ON A MONDAYNIGHT, DURINGMONDAYNIGHTFOOTBALL! For shame. Fortunately I had been to Pearl Street before and knew it would be close so we went there and had a great time into the late hours of the night drinking and watching football.

Wonderfully friendly and attentive staff that welcome you the moment you step in the door. The menu is not very complicated and what they do, they do it very well. My Hawaiian pizza was delicious and packed bold flavor, I will say that the crust was not what I cared for from a preference standpoint not from a quality perspective so don’t take that statement as a negative. This place has a nice vibe and a well thought out selection of beers. Try it.

For our night in Indianapolis, we were feeling pretty lazy. We went ahead and ordered a BBQ pizza and garlic cheese sticks to go. Parking is sort of a pain downtown when you’re a tourist; some sort of a 5-minute pickup zone would have been nice to have. If I’d known it was going to be so difficult I would’ve just used the bikeshare. But oh well. The pizza was quite good. A good crust and slightly spicy BBQ sauce was laid on top of a nice, thick hand-tossed crust. The chicken tasted good and I liked that there was quite a bit of cilantro strewn about. The garlic cheese sticks were also good. Lots of cheese, an assertive garlic taste and the same crust used for the pizza. If you’re thinking about trying Pearl Street, I’d probably opt to dine-in over take-out. But either way you’ll get a good pizza.

Wait staff a tad rude and short. Had the spinach and apple salad w/chicken for around $ 10, a little pricey for what you got but flavor was fine. Also had a slice of their supreme pizza. Was kinda thick for a hand tossed but taste was fine. Nothing bad to say about this place but nothing to come back for. Fine in a pinch.

I’ve wanted to come here for awhile, and last night I finally got the chance. Leaving another event downtown and relaxing there was a Pacers game going on, we figured Pearl Street would be worth checking out. Somewhat hidden on Pearl Street — which is really an alley — this place was really quiet for having a game going on a block and a half away. We sat ourselves at a table and our server came over right away. Which I expected seeing how there was only one other table with people at it. Drink specials for a Wednesday night was $ 2 well drinks, so I went with a vodka cranberry. Well drinks are hit or miss, I had a vodka cranberry and something in it was way too sweet. Another person had a Joanna B(Jameson and Ginger Ale) and thought the same thing. Food was good. service was good up until we were ready for our checks. then we had to track our server down. I’d be up for checking this place out again though, if nothing else but for the immediate seating on game nights.
