I enjoyed eating lunches there, but they closed about a month ago.

Nothing fancy, but the price for lunch can not be beat. The place is always clean and the service is friendly. Their sushi is nothing special but tasres good and is presented nicely. The buffet items are your usual Chinese buffet fare and is always hot. I have only been during the lunch hour and the food has always been fresh.

Okay this is a chinese buffet… Its not a fancy dinner joint. I actually liked it a great deal. It was affordable and to be expected. The servers are nice and friendly too! When I come here I go to get crazy stuffed and eventually go into a food coma. That’s the point of a buffet right? I usually go with the hibachi grill. Its a bit bland but its fun making your own plate. I typically add some sushi and whatever looks good. The sushi isnt all that bad for buffet sushi. There is a fried roll they make that’s decent. One time we were there and the sushi chef made a really cute bird out of an apple. My husband and I have some good memories here so we will for sure be back.

Not good. Went with my guy and really, it felt like a waste of money. The hibachi grill made it bearable, but that’s it’s only redeeming quality. The buffet was… ka-blah. Sushi bar… questionble. Everything I tried just tasted cold or old. Then again, we did go when it was slow. Regardless, it should’ve been way better for $ 10/person. Pass.

There are some redeeming dishes among the food. But most of the stuff tasted like it had been sitting around since lunch. Sushi and nigiri: had been sitting around uncovered too long. Both the sushi rice and the fish were a bit dried out. Lettuce salad and fixins/toppings: good. Fresh fruit: good. Mango, honeydew melon, cantelope, bananas in red sauce. Turbot fish: sitting around too long. Be careful, has bones. Shrimp dishes: Most all sitting around too long. Beware. Take a sample of something before you load up your plate. (Salmon?) fish: sitting around too long. I’m going to give this place one more try during evening hours, and will try the Mongolian grill, in hopes of geting something fresher, or maybe go later in the evening, in hopes that the food will turn over by that time. Otherwise, I’m going to say this is going to be a «lunch only» kind of place. I’m giving them 3-star instead of 2 because there was enough fresh food to make the price worthwhile. But you have to look closely, or take tiny samples on your first trip to the buffet to find out what is fresh and what isn’t. Ambience and cleanliness is good. The girls are quick to remove plates and refill your soda/water.

This place gives an upscale feeling, elegant interior and nice colors. The manager and the staff are very friendly. Other than the sushi and the seafood items, the buffet serves what you can find in your average neighborhood China buffet. I would only rate it 3 stars, but because they serve soymilk and that automatically gets an additional star from me :) The price is extremely affordable and it’s a great place to go for a family gathering. I also like that they only set the«all-day dinner» price for Sundays, so for those of us who cannot take advantage of the low weekday lunch prices, we can get it on Saturday. And one last thing: before you go, go to to print out a coupon.

I «ditto» what everyone says below. Their sushi cuts are extremely thin… and their food was to be ‘expected’. Don’t go on Sundays… at least not for lunch — like most buffets it is «all day dinner». I don’t think it’s worth it — however during a regular lunch day you can’t beat $ 5.99. I still prefer The Journey

I’m always weary when someone uses buffet and sushi in the same sentence. First the good stuff. The service was fast and friendly and the place was clean and tidy. Now for the rest, the service was fast because it’s a buffet and the staff had a very time understanding our wine orders. The food was a mixture of things. Adding pizza and mashed potatoes to the buffet struck me as very odd. All of the food is labeled, which is good, but if you are not well-versed in sushi, you still don’t know what you are getting. Overall the food was satisfactory. Not amazing, but well done.

Next to the previous Lowe’s movie theater location at W. 86th& Michigan Rd… just opposite Sam’s Club. This fresh newly remodeled & updated«Ultimate Buffet» lives up to the billing! TV in their«PARTYROOM» is open to the public or quite side rooms or main dining area — all are quite elegant & modern. Huge selection of fresh sushi, crab legs, ribs, carved roast beef, great green beans(my fav) & loads of fresh ripe fruit. Ask for their«Frequent Buffet Visitor» Card or «Loyal Customer» Card to earn a FREE Buffet for frequent dining. :) Seems they have COUPONS on-line too!!!

Visited this buffet with my family on the recommendation of a friend. This buffet is somewhere between the«Journey» and a Chinese buffet. The food is typical Chinese buffet. The layout is a bit like the Journey. But can’t complain too much if you can feed a family of four for $ 23.

Decided to stray from my favorite sushi place and give this a try. I will agree with the previous review in that it’s a cheaper version of the Journey on 96th street. The presentation and freshness of the sushi just wasn’t there for me. The rest was pretty standard for this type of buffet with everything from general tso’s and fried rice to chicken wings and french fries. Nice work with remodel and service was also attentive. Pretty cheap eats for lunch as well.

This is almost a typical asian style buffet. It’s in the wal-mart shopping plaza. Use to be another buffet back in the day. New owners have re-done the inside and it looks very nice, open, clean, and well lit! It strives to become a cheaper version of the Journey on 96th street. Definitely not as good but you can tell in some of the food items, decorations, seating set-up that it is similar to a cheaper version of Journey. The crab legs were very good and plentiful. You did not have to wait for them to bring anything out as everything was in heaping piles including the fresh oysters, crab legs, shrimp. There is sushi and everything was fairly fresh. There are not as many choices as many other buffets but what they had was good. They have surf clams, crawfish, escobar fish, very good quality crab legs, clams steamed in ginger sauce, butter pecan ice cream, and some other things that put it above the average asian buffet. The price is decent too. Less than most other buffets with crab legs and sushi. The service was spectacular! The owner looks like he owned a very high-end serviced restaurant before. he goes to each table and treats the customer with the utmost respect. He stands at the front and greets everyone coming in and everyone leaving. We went during the week so not sure if this is what happens even when the restaurant is busy. You can find a coupon for it in Indianapolis Vietnamese magazine: Lien Bang or at With the coupons you can eat for less than $ 10. If I was in the area and craving crab legs, I would definitely come back. I hope they continue the great service we got as they get busier. Definitely try the asian style fish. It is very buttery and delicate but delicious. The green beans were cooked perfectly and definitely have lots of crab legs! Corn on the cob and crawfish were good for being off season too :)
