So we stopped at this place because it was close to our hotel. The service wasn’t as good as what I usually get from Mexican restaurants but the food was decent. Also, we went on a Friday afternoon and there were a ton of hot chicks there… weird.

The service was great and our waiter was super friendly and attentive. The complimentary chips and salsa were yummy. The salsa was super flavorful and somewhat spicy. It wasn’t watered down or bland like at other restaurants. After perusing the menu, I finally decided on the carne asada, which was perfectly seasoned and especially delicious. I was most definitely full halfway through the meal. All in all, Los Cabos is a great place for a yummy meal regardless of the occasion!

We remembered this place under another owner when they used to have strolling mariachi singers and good Mexican food, so we thought we’d give it a try. We only had one menu item, my wife and I had the Seafood Fajita for two. It was tasty, but it could have been better if they used real crab meat and scallops instead of the processed. We also thought it was strange that they only gave us one plate with 3 tortillas because it was a dinner for two. We had to ask for a second plate with three more tortillas. They didn’t charge for the second plate.

We were seated quickly and given prompt service to begin our night here. What we enjoyed most was that everything seemed cooked to order, not just reheated and stuffed in a tortilla like other places we’ve been too. We had queso dip with sausage and it was some of the best we’ve had. I had the beef taco salad, which was more beef than toppings. I would’ve preferred more lettuce. My daughters had the fajita quesadilla and the chicken chorizo quesadilla. Both would order it again. My husband had the fajita burrito which he said was fine. We loved the prices as well.

This restaurant has seen many changes over the years, but our meal on this day was awesome. We started with the 27 oz margarita’s, but I do not remember which flavors we had. They had many styles to choose from and I am sure they are all very good. Mine was extremely good and I will not do this again at lunch, I will do the smaller 12 oz. The food was fairly typical of Mexican fare, but the portions seemed bigger here. Everything was tasty and it the leftovers were good the next day. Come and enjoy.

Very good authentic Mexican food! It’s affordable and you get great portions. Only thing that holds it back from being a 5 star in my opinion, is the kids menu. It didn’t have that big of a variety or healthy choice items for my child, but other than that. the food was great! The customer service was great!

Gross. We dined around 2pm on a Sun. The only criteria I’m super judgmental about with a server is their appearance hygiene-wise. Our waitress looked like those people on the«after» pics on Face of Meth posters. To make matters worse, she was sniffling and my husband said he saw her swipe her nose with the back of her hand. Gross. The only reason we stayed is I had a Groupon and what the hell else was I going to do with it. I ordered fajitas with the logic that the combination of sizzling heat and the blood of Jesus would protect us from the germs. Gnats all over a potted plant in the window and the table next to us was filthy. When the tortillas came and we unwrapped them, there was a twist-tie in it! The one from a bread wrapper! I hated this place! The shrimp were chewy, the queso tasted like melted cheese slices… it was a mess. Stay far away!!! The place is a ghost town for a reason!

We came for a late lunch. Everything was delicious. I had a chimichanga. The margarita was very good also. It’s now my favorite Mexican restaurant even though we live much closer to El Rodeo.

Food and drinks are about what you expect from a Mexican chain. The Groupon deals at this place make it even better. However, on our last visit my girlfriend saw a rat scurry bye and you can kind of smell that it’s a place that this could happen to. Waited until the end to tell our server, but when we told her she kind of acted like it wasn’t a big deal and didn’t even say sorry or anything. She just said«Oh ok!». Won’t be going back!

Excellent Food, Drinks & Service… I’m already wanting to go back! I had the Los Cabos Sampler & the Cabos Blueberry Margarita a friend had the Camerones a la Diabla and another tasty Margarita! There’s liquor in those drinks so brace yourself, they make sure they give you plenty! So many choices for drinks and flavors. Some of the best queso, salsa & chips I’ve had also! I will definitely go back again!

Went here on a Saturday night during prime dinner rush time. The place was almost empty. Should have been my first clue. The staff was very friendly. Server was very polite and smiled often. The restaurant was garish in its décor. Menus were out of date(some items and names of dishes marked out.) We were seated near what I assume is a chip oven/warmer of some sort. There were chips on top of the oven and randomly scattered along the back of the booth it was next to. Should have been the second clue. There was a man with a guitar trying to sing. I couldn’t decide which was more out of tune – his guitar or his voice. It was truly painful. We ordered the guacamole appetizer made at the table. It was delicious. Our entrees arrived VERY quickly(another clue. Why am I still here? *sigh) I took a bite out of my enchilada and had to pull a foot-long hair out of my mouth. The server apologized and took it away. My replacement meal arrived in less than 5 mins. This tells me that the food is not fresh and pre-made and frozen/pre-stocked. It tasted like it too. The red sauce on my enchiladas tasted like someone had opened a can of pureed tomatoes and added some garlic and onion powder to it. It literally tasted like ketchup. The enchiladas wraps were tough and chewy, clearly pre-made and heated up. The meat(chicken and beef) inside was dry and lukewarm. Really bad. I wouldn’t go back here. Place is in need of a serious overhaul.

I stop in Indianapolis twice a year and my family and I ALWAYS stop in at Los Cabos. They are extremely friendly and the food is delicious! It is something I look forward to every trip almost as much as the trip itself. We have been her during lunch and dinner and are never disappointed I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Don’t eat here unless you like ants! They were crawling all over the booth and the manager didn’t care. His response, «yeah, the ants have been a problem.»

I give one star for the salsa, which is actually quite tasty. I took away the other 4 due to poor service on the two times my family and I have tried to have a nice meal here. The staff is downright rude. The food is very low quality(watery cheese, very fatty/chewy steak, dry chicken, etc) and you are not checked on, your drinks are not refilled and you can’t have more chips and salsa unless you walk around, find someone and beg. They will try to add fees, as well. On both occasions they tried to charge me for kids drinks which say«included» on the menu. They also tried to charge me for beans, which came with my meal, and avocado slices, which came with my meal. If you attempt to correct them, be prepared for them to grumble under their breath in Spanish. Also, don’t try to use a coupon. They will find an excuse to never let you use it and again, mumble in Spanish under their breath or to someone else nearby. Can you say uncomfortable???

(Tina Belcher impression) Uh… Walls painted in day-glo colors? Check. Misogynist waiters? Check. The same schlock you could get at any other mom and pop Mexican restaurant except not nearly as good? Check check checkarooni. Dude, I love me some Mexican grub, but the last time I went it was… just not that great at all. That lovely picture of arroz con pollo you see? That was mine on my first visit. And I would be inclined to say that it was nice. I went almost two weeks ago and the very very much not fresh tamales that I ordered and didn’t finish still haunt me. Also, I really don’t appreciate being called«beautiful» by the person who handles my food. I realize that this is probably more of a cultural thing– latin men aren’t accustomed to the feminist ways of las americanas, but I’d like to eat in peace as my looks are extremely irrelevant to the situtation.

I’m going to split the difference right off the bat. The service was a 2, the food was a 4, so I’ll give ‘em a 3. Matter of fact, the food may have been a 4.5. Everything we got tasted fresh, was hot, and presented well. One of the better mexican food experiences we’ve had in central Indiana. However, the server didn’t seem to care if we were there or not. We requested extra salsa, never got it, empty drinks just sat. I’m a forgiving guy, so I’ll give ‘em a second chance. Maybe the server was having a bad day. We shall see.

Meh, top dollar prices for mediocre food. I won’t be back. My quest for decent Mexican food on the North side of Indy marches on. I’m beginning to form the opinion that my idea of good Mexican food and what the people of Indiana think good Mexican food is differ dramatically. I have yet to find anything that remotely resembles Sanoran style Mexican grub, I got two tiny tacos with a side of beans and rice for about $ 10.00 with tax, A lot of beans, a lot of rice, and two tiny sized tacos.

I tried the extreme nachos appetizer. It was okay, but I’m a picky eater. I had to change it up more to my liking.

Los Cabos is one of the better Mexican restaurants on the north side. The food is pretty standard, but the drink and dinner specials put it ahead of other restaurants in the area. The service is generally friendly and they have a few well placed HD TVs so it’s a good place to watch a game. Before you go be sure to scout out some coupons either in the mail or online, it’s a good way to knock 4 or 5 bucks off your bill.
