Jeff West is a fantastic designer/​craftsman of jewelry. He helped me design my wedding ring and created it a year ago. I could not be happier with the finished product.
I have never worn jewelry before and I wasn’t particularly looking forward to it (sorry Kasey). I don’t think I’m alone in that feeling. My now wife and I went to a few shops and tried to find something I’d be happy with. There were characteristics of certain rings I liked, but there weren’t any that I’d want to wear every day forever. We heard about Jeff from a friend and thought it would be worth paying him a visit. We scheduled an appointment (he’s by appointment only) and went to see him later that week.
Jeff’s shop is in an office building. There’s plenty of parking out front. You can see his workspace through a window when you walk in, and he has lots of his work on display. I described to him what I liked about other rings, and he assured me that we could pull them all into a single ring and that he could make it look cohesive. Later that day I sent him pictures I’d found online highlighting all of the features I liked.
I was a little worried about getting a custom ring made since he didn’t have anything on hand that looked like what he was making for me. My worries were completely unfounded. The ring is very cool and the fact that I had a hand in making it makes me like it that much more. Jeff was great to work with and I’d recommend him to anyone. If you can’t find what you’re looking for in the chain stores, definitely give Jeff a call.
One more thing worth noting. Jeff stands behind his work for life. If you have any sizing issues, get any dings or scratches that need fixing, or just need the ring cleaned, Jeff will take care of you. He is clearly very passionate about his work and wants to make sure it’s taken care of.
