Hobby Lobby

I stopped in to buy a matte for a drawing but they didn’t have the size I needed in stock. The manager (I don’t remember her name, short, blonde, curly hair) happened to ask me if I needed any help and she said they could cut a matte to size right then and there. Perfect.
Matt ended up helping me and was extremely helpful and courteous. The only problem I had was with the cost of the cut matte, they charge $ 13! The entire board was priced at $ 6.99 so they charge $ 6 for the cut and they keep the rest of the matte board! So now they can charge at least 1 or 2 more people for the board that was already purchased. Ridiculous!
I will continue to shop here but I certainly will not be purchasing any more custom mattes!

So I’ve been in a crafty kinda mood since I changed jobs. I have more time! So over the course of the last 5 years I have been collecting menus to decorate my kitchen with… and found myself here with the urge to buy frames for said menus.
I had to get a few custom mats made… by Matt. Who was quick, efficient and listend thouroughly to what I wanted and was so helpful!
I did find that a lot of the frames seemed banged up and battered and had to be picked through. Poor handling upon the store or other customers… makes for bad choices. But after some searching and digging I found what I needed.
Upon check out with my frames…9 total. I asked the check out person (name forgotten) if they did price adjustments if the product went on sale. She said yes, but I’d need to bring the frame in… which really, is ridiculous if you ask me. I said I am going to have these hanging on my walls so I have to take them down and bring them in. She called a manager over (Alisha) who compromised with if I brought the fake family insert and the sticker they’d price adjust.-Score.
I got my purchase home and set forth in framing away… until i found on the inside cracked glass on a few frames. Scratch this plan. I decided I’d take them back… and went back on Sunday… they were closed. Which I think is great. So I popped into their neighbor.
Back again on Monday-​return and price adjust. Where the manager on duty said do you have the frames we are price adjusting. I referred to the above conversation and she just said ok… with an eye roll.
I do really like the store. You can get great craft ideas and deals to do said crafts with.
They have cool décor and overall the staff is helpful and the prices are decent. The hassle of even bringing back frames is ridiculous to me
Also in just checking, I had a price adjustment done on Monday and it still hasn’t posted to my account… calling the store now.

I am planning a baby shower for a dear friend so you are going to see a lot of posts from me about party planning places and craft places… etc over the next month or so… not to mention the baby places I go to… if I can find them. We seem to be lacking in that department here in Indy… at least from my prospective. Anyways… Hobby Lobby. Great place, great prices… they always seem to have something 50%…not just individual prices mind you… but whole DEPARTMENT… like right now I think the whole bridal department is one sale… crazy! Great place to go to for Christmas décor… it is August right and they are already preparing their Christmas department… that is how HUGE it is. Shelves and shelves of ornaments, gift bags, décor, stockings… everything imaginable and then some! I really like their interior décor section… not just for christmas but for everyday décor. Very nice and wonderfully priced.
