I wanted to love this place, thinking we had found a hidden 5-star diamond. The outside of the restaurant looks a little rough, and the inside looks a little lackluster, but all can be overcome by the food. Not so here, unfortunately. The tlayuda dish we ordered was a first-time try for us, and it was bland, heavy, and tough(tough meat, tough tortilla). I’m glad we gave it a chance, but I probably would only ever go back for the cheese empanadas, which were actually very delicious and well made.
