We highly recommend Chelsea Village Apartments! Initially, we were looking for a two-bedroom in northwest Indy to make my commute to Purdue a little easier. We checked out The Lakes Apartments, Summerwood on Towneline, Willow Lake Apartments, Oak Lake At Crooked Creek, and Chelsea Village Apartments, and we found the Chelsea Village to be the best fit for us! It’s tucked away from the hustle and bustle of 86th Street, but conveniently located to 465 and 65. The maintenance and management are top notch! The neighborhood is fairly quiet and a mix between families and couples. The grounds are well kept year-round. The grass is always mowed in the spring, summer and fall, and during the winter months, I never had an issue getting in our out of a parking space due to snow or ice. The sidewalks were always salted and shoveled, and the streets in the area were always plowed and salted before and after winter storms. When we lived their, the management had a monthly newsletter and hosted a monthly event, such as wine tastings or an 80’s themed block party held in the club house. Maintenance requests were always addressed within 24 hours. The area is conveniently located to EVERYTHING. COSTCO is right down the street on Michigan Road; Planet Fitness, Home Depot, Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joe, Meijer, Kroger and shopping malls are all close by. Getting into downtown Indy is an easy drive. We usually took 86th Street to Meridian, the scenic route :) This was a wonderful place to live and we would’ve renewed our lease if I hadn’t gotten a better job offer in Massachusetts.
