In general, this is a great shop to go to for all things ceramic. Supplies, clay, tools, kilns, you name it. They’ll even fire pieces for you and they have classes. Most of the employees there are friendly, eager to help you out and give you tips. Except one. Believe me, when you go inside, if she’s working, you’ll see a huge difference in attitude from her and everyone else that works there. I’m not sure why they have her in ANY customer service capacity at all, because she truly sucks at it. Not only is her face in a perpetual frown most of the time, she gives zero eye contact and in general has a negative, slightly grouchy attitude. If the job is that much of a pain, perhaps she should work somewhere else! Thankfully, I mostly deal with the others who work there and have generally had good experiences with the store and the staff which make up for this girl’s bad attitude. So, they get five stars for what they are without her and one is taken away because she works there.

Shame on Indianapolis Unilocalers for keeping this gem to yourselves! Brickyard Ceramics is a top-notch place for art and ceramics supply. Sure, when you say«brickyard», you mean a place where people drive cars in circles. But from now on, the association in my head will be a place where the clay spins in circles — where the action is slower and quieter, but not a bit less exciting. Check this place out if you need pottery supplies, art supplies, clay, glaze, paint, or kilns … or even if you just like browsing for gadgets and gizmos. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly, too. Oh, and the website says that they teach classes and have gallery hours as well. Seriously, if you think there’s nothing to do in this city, you only have yourself to blame.
