While this wasn’t the worst hotel I’ve said it, I will definitely avoid it in the future. When I first came in, the desk clerk was standing right by the front door smoking; much closer than the 8 feet buffer zone required by law. When we checked in he started off the conversation with«You know you could have gotten this room much cheaper if you just booked through us instead of Priceline.» Um, okay. When I get to the room, it’s just, well, meh. And here’s why… 1) The lights are on motion sensors. So if you sit still, go take a shower, etc., the lights turn off on you! 2) There were rips on in fabric on the couch and office chair. 3) The carpet is dingy and fraying in a lot of places. It also feels like it’s just glued to cement with no padding under it. 4) missing accessories for both the fridge and microwave. 5) When I got to my room, the heat wasn’t on. I set it to 65 and went out to dinner. I got back about 2.5 hours later and the room was over 85. I brought it to the clerk’s attention and he told me to take apart the thermostat and«play with the levers in it,» because they stick. 6) The pillows are hella lumpy. 7) The windows(on the first floor at least) are wooden and open completely… but there’s no screens in them. For a first floor window, they just don’t feel very safe. Pros: Cheap Not disgustingly filthy.

Avoid At All Costs tl;dr — Incompetent staff, bad rooms Stayed here recently on a family trip. Called ahead to request a crib for my son, was told it was no problem just ask at the desk. Arrived and was told they don’t have any, «go to Walmart.» Nice. Fortunately for us, another hotel in the area loaned us a crib when another family member staying there asked for us. That’s customer service. That hotel is now top of my list for future trips while Best Western just dropped to the bottom. Moreover, there were 6 cars in the parking lot. 6! What fool put us in a room with people in the rooms immediately next to us, and above us? Ever hear of a buffer zone and spacing out your guests? As for the rooms, where to begin. Dirty carpets. Heater fan that sounds like a helicopter taking off when it starts up every 30 minutes. Blinding security lights that are on posts aimed at the building so it’s like trying to sleep at high noon with all the light leaking around the curtains. A flatfooted clodhopper stomping around on our ceiling starting at 3am. A leaky toilet somewhere nearby causing the valve to trigger running water for 10 seconds every 50 seconds all night long. Neighbors sound like they’re in bed with you, the walls are so thin, and every time one of them flushes a toilet it sounds like Raging Waters in your room. Oh, and the piece de resistance, wet towels. Don’t know if there was a leak somewhere, or someone used the towel and put it back, or some other incident I don’t even want to speculate about. Any way you look at it, grotesque. Avoid this hotel.

Customer service is HORRENDOUS at this hotel. The guy who works as the Director of Sales should NOT be in this position! Very unhelpful and rude… dark and smelly rooms… stained carpets. Spiders crawling in the bathtub and shower… definitely would not return again!

We stayed there two nights ago and our room was a king-size suite. The positives: The room was very clean and the night desk clerk was very friendly(as was the night desk clerk when we called to ask a question on the previous night). The negatives: #1: HORRIBLE lighting in the room(including a missing bulb); truly the worst we’ve encountered in a long time. #2: The upholstery on the back of the desk chair was ripped. #3: The mattress was hard. #4: There was no hair conditioner. #5: The(free) breakfast was the typical carb fest. #6: The young female desk clerk working during the day yesterday lent new meaning to the term«airhead».

If you are in Indy, STAYHERE! I chose this hotel because it was the cheapest one in the area, and when I walked into my room, I was shocked. It’s called«Country Suites» for a reason. I walked into a living room with a couch, chair, coffee table, desk, and TV. Then there was a small kitchenette in the middle with a sink, fridge, and microwave. This led back into a separate bedroom with another TV and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was also spacious and nice. This was also one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in. I’m a little bit crazy about hotel cleanliness, and I couldn’t find any spot that wasn’t immaculate. I have found that Best Westerns are some of the cleanest hotels, even better than some of the ritzy ones, but this one was above and beyond. The staff was so nice. We ended up talking to the desk clerk for almost an hour before we even went to our rooms. He gave us dinner suggestions in the area, asked us about our travels, and told us to let him know if we needed anything at all. He even faxed some paperwork for me at no cost. This was almost more of an apartment than a hotel. I felt so cozy here and slept very well. I had been staying in a lot of hotels and was ready for something that felt like home. This place made me feel like I could have stayed longer. If I’m in the area again, I will definitely book this place.

This is a great place to stay at an extremely reasonable rate! I booked through Expedia, and got a very good deal where I had to pay in advance and couldn’t cancel. The free wi-fi works very well, there was a full breakfast and you can go to the Gold’s Gym down the street for free. And you can shop at Costco for free with your hotel key if you are not a member(and interested in buying lunch for 25). Even though the hotel is off a main thoroughfare, it is nice and quiet. The front desk person, Bill, was very nice and gave me excellent suggestions for local restaurants and told me about the free gym passes. He also gave me directions to my next destination. The room was a nice sized suite, with a separate living room. Plus, there is a coffee maker and small fridge in the room, which is always a plus. There is a microwave and free coffee 24⁄7 for guests in the breakfast area. Did I mention the coffee includes regular and decaf espressos? Yum! I would definitely stay here again.

While this isn’t a «five-star» hotel by definition, this particular Best Western went above and beyond my expectations of this kind of place, especially for the price. We stayed in Indy over Valentine’s weekend(since we live over an hour away, sometimes it’s more convenient to stay there than drive home) and had no luck finding anything under $ 120 on the west side. We drove a little further north, knowing that were lots of places to stay in the 86th Street/Michigan Road area, and happened to land at the Best Western Country Suites(since the Holiday Inn Caribbean Cove street across the would have been way too pricey and besides, we didn’t bring our bathing suits!). $ 55(!!!) got us a suite that I swear was comparable to the Westin in terms of size, cleanliness and comfort. The bed was amazing. The mini fridge was roomy. And the service was fantastic. We were originally in a room next to some very loud people and their very loud children. We realized quickly that that arrangement would not work and the woman at the front desk was more than happy to move us to a quieter space, no questions asked. We will definitely be back!
