I went to this school from the time I was five until the time I was nine. It was an amazing experience overall. It definitely helped that my best friend went there with me, and I learned a lot from Indian Harbor. I was part of their swim team for about three years, and through that I learned discipline and made lifetime friendships. I loved everything about it. From the Mako Markets that were held every Friday, to the constant field trips to The King Center; I just loved it. The teachers there were top notch. The ones that made the biggest impression on me were Mrs. Jedlicka, Mrs. Silverthorn, Mrs. Wright, Coach Noggle, and Mrs. Griffin. There were many others as well, but those are the few that stand out most furtively in my memories. I moved away from the school in third grade, not by my choice. My family and I moved out to Las Vegas about six years ago, and my education continued in the Montessori Method. It was this year that opened my eyes to the greatness of this method. I moved to my first public school this year, and it was mediocre compared to the two great Montessori’s I’ve attended. I will be forever thankful for the love of learning that I inherited from them. I am, and forever will be a Mako!
