The u haul truck rental web site will only let you rent as what’s available. Meaning you think you’re renting a truck for the whole day and its price quoting and reserving for a partial day that you can’t use. Also their concern and customer service attitude sucks.

I ordered a truck in the comfort of my home, four days before I needed it and exactly where I needed it. They sent me a text to confirm my order and an email the next day to confirm that it would be ready.
I called 30 minutes before I was supposed to be there and told them I’d be about 20 minutes late. The customer service representative was friendly and said no problem.
When I got there, there was only one person at the counter but three people including myself in line — so not 5-​stars. They put me in a 16 year old 24′ box truck that, if the fuel gauge was really where they said it was when I picked it up, got less than 5 miles to the gallon on average. For the record, it was only 1⁄3 full at best.
I’ve rented these quicky B2C trucks before and if I remember they get notoriously shitty MPG. I think a more modern truck would have done better but at the very least, MPG should be calculated into the estimated cost when you order it online — the fuel cost is no small factor.
