I went online and ordered ottomans to match the «purply» Adirondack chairs that I’ve had since last summer. They arrived promptly at my local store within a few days and got a personal phone call to inform me to swing by and pick up the items. When I stopped by, I realized that while the color was similar to the chairs, they didn’t quite match.
The manager took the time to take me to the back to look online to find the exact item. He promptly refunded me the cost for these items and ordered the correct items, which arrived two days later. Apparently there’s a difference between purply, orchid and violet. Sheesh. Easy peasy, pleasant and all done with a smile.
Small town livin’ — that’s what it’s all about. Great local service.

I spent four hours this morning down in Reno looking for large metal dog bone dog tags to replace ones that were lost this weekend. I could not even find one that would hold four lines. My son let me know that he saw them at Ace and he saw the exact oil rubbed metal ones that we had before. They also let us know that they could engrave both sides on like the ones we had before out of the machine. I should’ve learned by now and stop wasting my time running down to Reno when places up here have exactly what we need if not more for the same or just about the same price and no hassle. Thank you Ace!

I love small towns and I love small town hardware stores just as much. This Ace located in Incline Village staffs employees who are far more helpful than your typical HomeDepot/​Lowes. Obviously they have a smaller selection but if they don’t have what you need they will order it and it arrives within a couple of days. I don’t consider that an inconvenience since when I’m up here I’m moving at an easy pace and nothing needs to get done «right now».

The staff at Ace is amazing. I showed up at 5:32 (they closed at 5:30) desperately needing paint rollers as I’d run out mid project. The kind people there saw my desperation through the (locked) door and opened up and let me in to buy my rollers. They were ready to go, purses and keys in hand, I’m sure happy to be getting home to their families, and yet they took extra time to help me out, someone they don’t even know. (We’re relatively new to Incline.) They went above and beyond for me and were so pleasant and kind about it.

My favorite hardware store anywhere! Staff is super friendly and they bend over backwards to help.
