I have lived in IB for almost 3 years and have not been happy with any of the local salons until I had my hair cut by Hilda the other day. I have short hair and every other place I visited either cut it way too short, or hardly at all. Hilda cut and styled it exactly as I wanted and the prices are good. I will definitely return,

Seaside Barber and Beauty Shop was The first beauty salon that I went to when I move to IB. Hilda did my hair for an event and did a wonderful job. I’ve been there several times and have always been satisfied with my haircut, service and price. But typical of finicky women as I am, i’m always on the lookout for a better place. After going to several other salons I always go back to Hilda to fix the horrendous cuts and color I received at other salons. After having my hair fried and nearly destroyed I went back to Hilda and she did a beautiful job fixing the mess that another stylist had done. I think I finally learned my lesson! Stick with Hilda at seaside barber and beauty shop! She is an expert with color (I should know, I’ve had every one you can imagine) and she’s especially great with color correction! I walked in today was completely damaged hair, and walked out with healthy vibrant hair. Prices are extremely reasonable, and she takes her time with you. No more shopping around for me!

We were away from home visiting family and ran into Seaside Barber and Beauty Salon. He did an amazing job shaving my head… my wife and daughter didn’t even need a haircut, but ended up getting their hair washed for fun. LOVED IT! We will come back every time we are back in town!

I’ve lived in San Diego my whole life and had always had issues with a salon cutting my hair. Here at seaside the stylist Hilda does an amazing job. I love her work never did I have to complain or never would I go to a different stylist again.

Go see Ray or his son if you live in imperial beach. This is the place. My mom was a hairdresser her whole life and had passed away. I had to find a new person to cut my hair after she passed away. I found Ray and will never go anywhere else they are very professional, friendly and cleanly. I always have an amazing experience with the family.

Have been coming here since they opened, always great service, very nice family run business, only a block from my house. The location is clean, on the beach, you can sometimes hear the waves while you hair is being cut.
Always happy with my haircut here, I recommend them.

Hilda has been cutting and highlighting my hair for the past 5 years. I am always amazed at the job she creates. First, she consulted me, my hair is fine and straight, and with very little guidance, added her magic touch. She is friendly, courteous, and always professional. She has helpful tips about the selection of products best suited for my hair texture and style… whether she carries them or not. Now that’s professionalism! I would highly recommend her especially if you are looking for easy to care for short-​hair, solutions.

Every hair cut I get from Hilda is great. I always get compliments after I go there and it grows out nicely. From the shampoo, through the style and comb out, she is professional and pleasant too. Nice little place and priced right.

Simply put, the best Barbers in the Southbay area. Ray and Hilda are very professional and they are also very good sincere people.

This is my favorite local barber shop. Ray and Hilda are great people who truly care about their customers. I have tried others locally, but always end up coming back here because of the friendly vibe. They always greet you at the door and will let you know how long if you have to wait.

I shouldn’t have gone here. I’m pretty sure the guy was not sober. I was honestly scared he would cut me; he was very rough with the clippers.
In addition, he doesn’t seem to listen; he asked me the same question four damn times. I didn’t want to complain, I just wanted the hell out of there, I was afraid he might take blood.
I can’t recommend anyone go here ever.

Great barber shop! It is not really close to me (i live in spring valley) but the drive down to IB is a small price to pay for an awesome service!
Ray really knows his stuff, from bottom tapers to close shaves. Not only a great haircut, but it is an overall pleasant experience.
I have been going to Ray for years now, and have no intention going somewhere else.
Hilda does a great job on haircuts too, so you don’t really have to wait too long for a great haircut!

This is a cute salon right on Imperial Beach near the new Pier South Resort (
). It’s clean and friendly with great service.

Came in one day when i first moved to S. D and havent gone anywhere else since. Ray has never done me wrong. he does it all you can get completely lined up hair and a straight shave for $ 20. I just let him do his thing and i always get compliments on how clean my fade be after a trip to rays. And last time I went in he hired on a new guy named Ronnie defenitly a good addition to the shop. Got lined up by him and he did a great job as well. Dont matter who in when you arrive you gonna get a great hair cut and a trusted barber. Ill be seeing yall again soon for another line up.

I have to admit that it was sheer desperation that had me walking in. It is actually billed as a barber shop but offered women haircuts. The stylist immediately greeted me and asked me what I needed. I was immediately shown to a chair and offered a water. She discussed my concerns, answered my questions and did a fabulous job on the deep conditioning treatment and my haircut. Would definitely recommend this place. You might not get some of the amenities you get in the big salons but the personal touch more than makes up for it.

I went here on whim and was super pleased they took me as a walk-​in with no wait! The prices were good, a trim was $ 18.
However, my trim turned into a «styling» and it wasn’t good. She did ask if she could style it and I said ok. However, I did mention 2 to 3 times how I dislike layers since I have a lot of hair and layers just make my hair poofy. Well, once it dried I come to find out I have very CHOPPY layers in the front! I’m going to go back and ask for her to fix it. One front layer is actually shorter in the back part and longer toward the front??? I wish I stuck to my plain trim.

If you’re a guy, and you’re looking for a shave and/​or a haircut, Ray is your man. If you get the shave/​haircut combo, you save for the price of them separately.
Ray also breaks out the full hot towel and straight razor treatment, and he takes his time and makes sure you’re clean cut and smooth as butter. Plus, you can just pop over to Katy’s Café right after for a nice sandwich or coffee.

I am going to Vegas tomorrow and I wanted to look my best, so I stopped in to get «Rock Star Nails», I LOVE them!
Lee definitely has a unique thing going on with the way she is doing nails. I recommend coming here, it is seriously worth the drive if you want something different than everyone else.
