We went for lunch and my husband had a pastrami sandwich. I must say the sandwiches are huge and on French bread and he loved it. They also have the good beer battered onion rings which are delicious. I had the fried cod. The fries were very good but the cod was very dry and salty and overcooked. I would not recommend the fried cod. We both had a bowl of chowder and it was good. It comes with a big piece of French bread and is enough for an entire meal. We ended up taking ours home. The place is definitely local and everybody was still ordering breakfast. Next time we’ll probably order breakfast or one of the large sandwiches.

The menu was extensive, but we stopped at the oyster stew and clam chowder. Both were chock full of their respective seafood and were absolutely wonderful! We’ll be back next time we’re in Ilwaco.

Don’t miss this!!! Best breakfast I’ve ever had. Dungeness crab Benedict. My husband had an omelette with fresh oysters, bacon, tomato, mushrooms, sour cream. Absolutely fabulous, great service.

Great food. Pancakes are very very thin. Biscuits and gravy are some of the best. Fried prawn had a light beer batter and were very good.

Usually a good place for breakfast but today they ran out of gravy, and pancakes. At least the waitress was great and they compted our meal! We’ll be back!

The new owners and the food here at The Portside are wonderful! We will definitely eat here again. My husband said the biscuits and gravy are the best he’s had in 10 years and they give you sausage gravy like grandma’s that hasn’t been messed up with«over the top» seasoning. My eggs Benedict sauce had a nice tang to it and the hash browns were perfection!

My friend and I enjoyed our lunch at the Portside with a delicious orange chicken salad and a burger that reminded me of the scrumptious burgers my grandma used to make. The onion rings were light and delectable.
