Spirit Mountain Retreat

I just returned from an overnight retreat and it was beyond what I was expecting. Mary was so pleasant and welcoming, and she cooked the most wonderful dinner for me — you see, I’ve been rooming in LA and haven’t eaten a proper meal at a table in six months (not counting noisy restaurants), so it felt like I had returned to a long lost home for a visit. I read a book and sipped tea by the fireplace until late in the evening. The garden is beautiful and the sounds of the different birds chirping helped to clear my mind. The place is very clean and well stocked, beyond the basics. The bedding and towels are fluffy, the kitchen has everything one could possibly need and there is an abundance of silence. I noticed an adorable resort-​like town within walking distance and would love to stop by and explore the next time that I visit.

I had a wonderful stay at Spirit Mountain Retreat. The grounds are small, but beautiful and tranquil. Terri was so accommodating, yet aware of giving me the space that I was seeking. The accommodations are basic and suitable for a relaxing personal retreat. I felt so at home at Spirit Mountain and can’t wait to return!
