I tested the two burner/oven Camp Chef in my backyard during a cold snap and in the early morning. I cooked bacon and eggs and perked a pot of coffee. The coffee pot was made of stainless steel. A few days later I baked a two layer Betty Crocker Super moist yellow cake. I put one layer in the Camp Chef oven and the other in my natural gas kitchen oven. I wanted to compare the two. It took the Camp Chef ten minutes to come up to 350 degrees and once it got there I turned it down to low in order to maintain the temperature. I live at near sea level. The first cooking experience turn out great and my family was pleased with the outcome. The cake was perfect and the Camp Chef baked it evenly and at about the same cooking time as my kitchen oven. The reason I purchsed the Camp Chef was three fold: 1) for preparing food during my kitchen remodel 2) for preparing food at deer camp 3) for emergencies. I bought the unit at Costco and I consider it a valuable asset. I certainly would recommend it to anyone who reads this review. Thank you.
