Taqueria Tres Reyes

I came in here for a quick bite ‘to go’ and they literally took 30mins to prepare 3 tacos. No one was in the restaurant but me and they still managed to take a ridiculous amount of time to prepare my meal. And on top of that it was cold when they gave it to me. I WILL NOT BE BE BACK!

I came on a Sunday service, I was honestly very upset because my family and I almost waited for 1 hour 30 minutes just to get our food and we got our food at different times instead of all together, once we got our food, we were all very unhappy, the fried plantains were soaked and I mean soaked with oil. They were dripping I couldn’t even eat it I got grossed out. The caldo de Rez was salty my parents couldn’t even finish eating it. We were just very in happy with the food and the service I rather drive all the way to riverdale then to come back here.

Deliciousness! We’ve passed by often, we work down the street, we finally decided to give it a try. My fiancé ordered the Cuban torta for 10 $ and I ordered lengua and pastor tacos for 3 $ each. The torta was huge! The tacos were filled with more than enough meat. They give you a salsa tray with various hot levels. All three were good. The torta was very good. The lengua was good but the pastor lacked flavor. We are really happy we came by. We finally found another option for food in the area besides sardi, phở 75, and King Kong. I don’t think the employee spoke English like at all so it’s best if you know the menu and know numbers in Spanish. I had s tamarind drink and now I’m craving it as I’m thinking of our visit. Yummmm.
We took half the torta back to work because it was way too much.

I love taquerias, having lived in Los Angeles and Oakland so i was excited to see one while picking up some parts today. Ordered an asada and cheese quesadilla and a horchata. The place was nearly empty with only two other tables occupied, but service was achingly slow — it took almost 25 minutes for the food to come out, while i could see employees talking in the back.
When the food finally arrived, it was lukewarm, with cold spots of cheese that hasn’t melted. Some of the meat was gristly enough to spit out and I got a bite of lettuce that was gritty with sand. On the upside, it didn’t taste bad and the horchata was OK.
Overall, it was very disappointing and my nine bucks plus tip would have been better spent elsewhere. Not going back.

Great food, authentic simple and fresh. I ordered three tacos and avocado salad. Was very delicious and did I say authentic! I will be back again!
