What a wonderful find! I got to indulge in all the fresh juices and raw foods I love, while my husband got to have peanut butter cup smoothies and veggie Reuben and feel like he’s eating without compromise. Loved the friendly helpful staff that answered my millions of questions, and the special touches: the fresh homemade almond milk, hummus, and raw almond bread among other things. My new favorite lunch place on the cape and guilt free!

I will preface this by saying Alice Waters(Chez Panisse) has prepared vegetarian meals for me personally in the past in CA. That said, I think it fair to say I understand good/great vegetarian/vegan cuisine. In my economy the Green Lotus is just a great place to come and eat healthy. It is such a departure from what you come to expect on average Cape wide. Not only is everything I’ve tasted been of superlative quality ingredients; the intention with which the items are created in the chef’s mind and prepared on your plate is really something else. The owner and the staff believe their’s is there opportunity to show you how great a creative vegan culinary experience can be. As an omnivore, I am very grateful I gave the Green Lotus a chance. Since eating there I have made it a point to come at least 3x a week for lunch when I am on the Cape. As emphatic as my review might seem, should you go, you will NOT be disappointed.

I’m not a vegetarian by any stretch… however my wife and I stopped in here for a bite to eat on the way home from the Transportation Center after a bus ride from Boston today. This place is great, tasty and fresh with friendly and helpful staff… we’ll be back. Highly recommended!

Wow! The Better Than Clam Chowder made with oyster mushrooms was AMAZING! We also enjoyed the seitan Rueben and the mushroom quinoa soup. Informal but cheerful atmosphere. A great stop for vegetarians… and everyone else that enjoys delicious food.

I’ve been out of work for a week sick, Nate’s ideas and knowledge of foods are amazing. He gave me something called flu assassin. Best I’ve felt in a while. Thanks

Fresh healthy breakfasts, sandwhiches and selection of items. The service was friendly and much care taken in the coffee. I especially liked that I could order a soup or sandwhich instead of just breakfast items as well. The café interior is welcoming and they have a great selection of books! We were just passing through but I could see myself enjoying quite a few good books with a cup of coffee, on one of their cozy set ups.

Absolutely DELICIOUS if you love healthy food WOW is the word. Try the eggplant bacon… the E.L.T.(Eggplant, lettuce & tomato) On house baked 7grain bread. This place is pure in every essence of the word. You can tell a lot of thought and most importantly love goes into this food. Fantastic.

I have gluten and dairy allergies and I avoid meat most of the time and Green lotus was great about marking my allergies so my food was safe. The sandwich was superb and my smoothie was amazing! I would definitely go back.

Found this place on my last day in the cape, wish I had found it sooner. Tasty, healthy sandwiches, wraps, salada, and juices. It was breakfast so I had the Mary Jane juice, which is a green juice with hemp protein(I see what you did there), and the morning sunrise(eggs, avocado, onions, L, T, sprouts on 7grain bread). They were both delicious and after 3 days of alcoholic drinks and multiple daily servings of ice cream, this is exactly what my body was craving and needed.

I could only be reassured that everything«could possibly» be made dairy free. I wanted to order the Ruben but any vegan knows that Thousand Island Dressing is not suited to their dietary guidelines, and without Swiss cheese and the dressing how is it a Ruben? «We have other vegan dressings» I was reassured. So that’s not a Ruben then??? I ordered a juice off the menu: Kale, spinach, ginger, cucumber, celery and orange. I was excited until I watched her pull a jug of orange juice out from beneath the counter. If you’re vegan, and concerned about your health, just avoid this place.

The Green Lotus has never disappointed me yet! Always new specials for sandwiches, soups, and smoothies. The cozy atmosphere is welcoming and the new addition is perfect for relaxing during lunch breaks or a quick take out. There’s plenty of things to read, or new things to try. The prices are a little pricey but it’s totally worth every penny. The hours are hard to follow but if I’m in the area for lunch I always choose the green lotus. The staff are very friendly and understanding of the food and smoothies. My favorites at green lotus are eggplant BLT, buffalo wrap, vegan reubens, and philly cheese portobello sub. The smoothies are so creative and I’m always choosing different ones. The hulk is my favorite! Overall if you enjoy creative distinctive food and smoothies than make a special trip to Green Lotus!

Amazing vegan eats and juices to help maintain/balance out a healthy lifestyle. Especially while on vacation! A must try for all. The girls working here are always super friendly and hard working to get your orders out quickly. Tip: request the spinach wrap and toasted for most of the sandwiches… They will take on a personality all their own.

SOUP! Oh the soup at this place is so amazing. I could eat giant vats of the loaded potato, but honestly I’ve never had a bad soup here and I am fortunate enough to eat it usually once or twice a week. Three cheers for vegan options that aren’t all soy based. Actually, three cheers for so many vegan options in one location on the cape!

My mom and I stop here for lunch every time were in Hyannis(which is often) I always get the buffalo tempeh over the ceasar salad! Coconut bacon sounds odd but is awesome and the soups are always delish! My all time favorite though is the mango smoothie. I’m excited that Green Lotus is expanding!

I found this gem looking for lunch before taking the ferry to Nantucket and what a wonderful option, minus dropping a boat load of cash on a pretty small smoothie. Minus the over-priced delicious smoothie, this spot still deserves the love for having healthy food in an area not necessarily known for great food options. Ok, so if you’re not down with veg/vegan spots — don’t come here. They don’t serve any meat. The smoothies/juices are delicious, but pricy and not too substantial. I thought one smoothie would do for lunch at $ 8-$ 9 and I had to get two since I slurped it down real quick since it was a bit watery? Boo. That expensive smoothie really affected me, eh? Can’t stop talking about it. I love the menu of vegan/gluten free sandwiches and entrée’s. I got my hands on the ELT: eggplant bacon, lettuce and tomato with vegemite mayo on gluten free bread and it was tasty. I mean bacon is way better, but sans that delicious fatty swine, the eggplant was a solid, crunchy and creative alternative. Consider this spot added to my Nantucket routine, because a healthy bite before headed to the island of cocktail dreams and fancy dinners is definitely a great idea. Just to reiterate: it’s pricy, but worthy. Also just a heads up, if this spot’s busy, it may take some time.
