A few days ago we were having car troubles, we went to Christian Brothers in Hutto and asked for a diagnostic test. They called us back and told us that we had to replace the engine due to sludge. They told us it would cost $ 5900 and the engine was beyond repair. We called several other mechanics to get a quote on a new engine, finally the GMC dealership quoted us at $ 4200. I told the owner of Christian Brothers that we were going to take our business elsewhere, he said he co… uld match the price and put in a remanufactured engine that would be warrantied for 3 year 100,000 miles but only honored at Christian Brothers, we left the car there to overnight to think about it. We decided after looking at the reviews for this remanufactured engine, which were 1 – 2 stars at best, mostly complaints about the engine itself and the warranty only being honored at Christian Brothers. So we decided to take our vehicle to the GMC dealership, we asked them to do their own diagnostic test to get a seconds opinion… They told us that a few parts needed to be replaced and the engine cleaned out a little but by no stretch of the imagination did the engine need to be replaced. In total it cost us $ 1400 to get the car fixed at the dealership. Its just sort of strange that Christian Bros would tell us we needed a whole new engine when we really didn’t

What an experience! My 2004 Honda Civic has 140,000 miles and was is desperate need of repair. All 4 shocks were spent, my rear control arm was bent, and the car failed to align within factory specs. On top of that, it was in need of a engine oil reseal, and a timing belt service. The fact that I put over $ 2,500.00 in parts and service into my car is not the deal here. The amazing customer service, attention to detail, and excellent communication throughout the entire transaction was above and beyond. Midway through the repair I recieved a phone call from the owner James Guzman. He mentioned a few other items that the techs noticed that needed attention. One being a suspension ball joint that needed to be replaced, along with the power steering fluid that needed flushed, and a tune up recommendation. Because of the superior team at Christian Brothers and their excellent customer service, I did all the recommended items. So happy I have a place to bring my Honda, where I know its in good hands. We will see you in a few thousand miles for my next oil change, and I’ll be back in 10K for my brake job… Thanks again James Guzman! Outstanding!!!

Came in for an inspection and oil change. They honored a coupon that was printed, even though I didn’t have it and gave me 10 $ off. They also noticed my CV Axle was slinging grease. They called the warranty company who said I had to go to the dealership. When I went to the dealership they wanted to charge me $ 1200 for the work as I was 2000 miles over my warranty. I took it back to Christian brothers and they were able to fix my problem for $ 375. They were helpful, honest and very accommodating. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Very knowledgable and friendly staff. Took my car for a few repairs and they did a great job identifying and fixing our issues at a reasonable price with a warranty on repairs. A day after I picked up my car I noticed a shaking when the car was in park that wasn’t there before I dropped off the car, I took the car back and the staff fixed the shaking issue free of charge. Good people at this location, would recommend your repairs here.

Excellent Service, very nice facility took good care of me after I had some yahoo mobile mechanic put a new starter in my Farm/​Work Truck, screwing up the wiring. Will definitely go back and get them to work on the Truck.

Went back to Christian Bros for my wife’s Jeep and the guys worked wonders! Not only were the repairs done accurately and extremely quick ($ 2200 in repairs/​tune-​up), there was nothing but warm smiles and welcoming personalities up front from James and the guys! I can’t say enough about Christian Bros and the way they do business. A truly great experience and gold standard for auto repair and honesty.

We have been using Christian Brothers in Hutto, TX for years now. When the rear window on our 2004 Prius quit working today I drove over and talked to the guys. They immediately took the car in but since they could not work on it the same day they gave me a free ride home.
James called a few hours later and told me that the problem was the ‘master switch’ for the windows. It is a so called ‘dealer only’ part and the dealer wanted $ 900.00 for it. James suggested that they trip the wiring, roll the window up, un-​trip the wiring and the window will now stay up forever. Saved me $ 800.00.

Wow! I couldn’t have been more pleased with my visit to Christian Brothers Auto in Hutto. James Guzman, the GM, was just terrific! My wife, dog, and I were on a road trip and realized our air conditioning was not working and we were becoming very uncomfortable so we pulled in and James immediately pull our car around for the tech to look at. Within 10 minutes, they diagnosed it as a broken compressor and since we didn’t have all day to wait for the repair, we decided to just roll down the windows and tough it out. James insisted on not charging us a dime and really treated us like family while we were there. I’ve never had a more positive experience and would totally recommend this place to anyone. Way to go James for making an uncomfortable day a bit more pleasant!

Been here twice now. New general manager is a nice guy that takes care of business. Repairs have been fixed quickly and ahead of schedule.
Performed a scheduled maintenance package — $ 300 cheaper than the dealer cost.
Performed a different car repair — $ 270 below dealer cost for parts & labor.

Appreciated their upfront and honest service. Being able to use their shuttle service was also very nice. Good work and attitude and reasonable pricing. Will definitely come back.

Quick and Quality are two words rarely capable of being combined together when referencing automotive care. However, I can genuinely say they both describe Christian Bros Auto in Hutto. The check engine light on my ’94 Ranger was coming on intermittently and the performance of the vehicle had slowly decreased over the past few months. I was recommended to Jon and his team and barely 5 hours after bringing the car into the shop the rather complex problem had been diagnosed, and a solution recommended. I had them fix the issue for what I believe was a fair price and haven’t had a recurrence since then (over two weeks ago). I was legitimately shocked at the expediency and the value they provided. Worth the trek from Austin to the ‘burbs.

Our car broke down again. It was under warranty from the previous fix. They fixed it no questions asked.
Only negative– closed on the weekends
