My daughter got a birthday cake with her dog’s face on it a few years back. Lovely, beautiful, and delicious cake. Just a little bit pricey.

Even though her storefront is closed, she still makes the best cakes around out of her home! Just go to the website to order.

I loved this place, unfortunately they are closed. Not sure why, wish she would reopen, she made the best cakes.

They always have wonderful items. Also the classes they offer for kids are great! We have been going there for many years!

You know, I almost regret not taking a picture of the many cakes I have ordered from here in past years. So many compliments about this place I do not know where to start. The fact they are so accommodating with requests and orders, even on short notice. And they are so creative. You cannot go wrong with this place and everyone to whom I have recommended them has come away happy.

Got a groupon for this place, close to my work. Ee’s not the least impressed by the unprofessional dress & demeanor of the employees/owners. The baby was in the front room, they hardly acknowledged me, couldn’t recommend product. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Food was not that good for the price either. I won’t return. Cupcake place on basswood is so much better!

We love this place we get cakes here for any occasion we plan advance enough to be able to give them the required advanced notice for. My daughter loves going in for an after school treat because their hand made chocolates are amazing. They offer gluten free items & sugar free which is a life savor because we have friends and family who need one or the other! The only sad part for us is because of our schedule many time our birthday parties are on Sunday or Monday which are their days off so we have to pick up early & figure out a way to keep it fresh; but that’s our bad not theirs!

I’m a huge fan of Hot Chocolates! Love their cakes, love their Crunchy Frogs, love their petit-fours(especially the Italian cream cake ones), love love love! This is where my family buys all their birthday cakes, and I’ve been known to stop by every now and then for a big ol’ slice of cake just because it’s Tuesday. I wonder why more people don’t do that… live it up a little! Do yourself a favor and try the pumpkin spice cake, especially now that it’s fall. I believe it’s October’s flavor of the month. Alas, we moved and couldn’t get my birthday cake from Hot Chocolates this year — so sad! When we go back for Christmas, I think I’ll have another birthday celebration, starring Hot Chocolates’ Guinness fudge cake(or maybe Kahlua fudge cake… mmm) with vanilla buttercream frosting. Simply wow.

I’ve been going to Hot Chocolates for a couple of years now and they’re terrific. Their truffles always go over well as gifts. The Crunchy Frog is great, especially in dark chocolate. Yum! They also did the wedding cupcakes for a friend’s wedding and they were fantastic. I couldn’t stop myself. Pumpkin and chocolate. Mmmmmmm…

We have a friend who is gaga for this place and orders their cupcakes/cakes from here for any occasion. She’s raved about this place and I was SO excited to try what she told me was the best cupcake ever. I was sorely disappointed. The frosting is way too rich and the cake itself has no «wow», «pop», or anything special. I could definitely make both cake and frosting better at home. To be honest, I would even have preferred a box cake mix with store-bought frosting. :/

I went to hot chocolates for my wedding and grooms cake!!! I LOVEDTHEM!!! Not only did the cakes TASTE great they looked exactly how I wanted them to!!! The ladies there were super sweet and I am going to go there for baby shower cakes and others from now on for sure!!! They are reasonable too for price unlike most other places where they charge per person for cake AND filling AND icing. HC include it all in one price and its cheaper than the others. You can get most of any type of filling also! Wedding cake– chocolate and white marble cake with butter cream filling and icing. YUMMYYUMMYYUMMY!!! Grooms cake– chocolate chocolate chip with chocolate butter cream. sounds RICH but it wasnt at all it was soooooooooo good!!! Wish i could get it everyday haha Also we got chocolate covered strawberries and the chocolate on there is just to die for!

Today I was in need of sugar. That’s right, I’ll admit it, I needed insulin shocking hurt my pancreas kind of sugar. I drove straight after school to the Texas Star Bakery for my second foray into cupcakes but was foiled by a «Closed» sign. Dammit. I have so much stuff to grade in the way of awful 10th grade research papers that if I don’t have sugar I might implode. Then I found Hot Chocolates. Yes, sugar. Homemade chocolate decadence. I got six pieces and have eaten three. I swear the rest will be saved until tomorrow. Key Lime Pie Truffle: Kick ass. Really, it tastes just like Key lime pie with a hint of white chocolate. Pecan Caramel: Kick ass. Light, airy, perfect. So much better than commercially made dense caramels could ever be. Milk Chocolate Truffle: A bit of a let down. It tasted kinda grainy. Because of the Milk Chocolate Truffle graininess I drop them two stars. I’m probably being cruel and they might really deserve four stars. Now let me get my red pens… the 10th grade awaits their fate.
