Pulled pork, brisket, fresh chicken and catfish. If you are looking for true Tennessee backwoods barbeque, look no further. Large portions, nice sides and they have two squirt bottles of their own BBQ sauce at every table. Mild and HOT. The wait staff are easy to talk to and nearly treat you like a local. Easy on/​off from I-​40. Plenty of overflow parking at the truck stop next door. And I ALWAYS get a side of hushpuppies. Get them. You’ll know they’re home made at first bite. The only downside I’ve seen, no credit cards. Cash or check only. But there’s an ATM at the Pilot.

We stopped off here in the middle of a road trip. We were a little unsure initially because there were only a couple others cars in the parking lot, but there weren’t a lot of other options around so we decided to take a shot.
Boy were we glad we did!
We all got the brisket sandwiches and they were fabulous! It’s a cute little spot that is worth a visit just for the funny signs and friendly service, but the food puts it over the top. Prices weren’t cheap, but the quality was more than worth the money.
These out-​of-​towners recommend this stop wholeheartedly. We’re sorry we don’t live closer!

Wow!!! Home cooked, real, BBQ!!! The prefect stop between Memphis & Nashville!!! The ribs were perfectly seasoned, just enough sauce, and so juicy. All of the sides (mac’n cheese, potato salad, baked beans, cole slaw) tasted like they came right out of your moms kitchen. Can’t say enough good things! Great people running the place too. Excellent

Some of the best bbq I have ever eaten! And the owner is so nice. Great meat and great sauce. Treated us to some blackberry cobbler and ice cream. Yum! This is a must stop on I-​40 to or from Nashville!

We were getting gas across the street and spotted this place — so glad we decided to make this our lunch spot! The food was great and we loved the covered porch. We tried the brisket (super tender and juicy) and the fried catfish and both were delicious. Both coleslaws were also good as was the mac ‘n cheese, the fried okra, and the hush puppies (we got a lot of food). And when a lightning storm moved in, they let us bring our dog inside until the storm moved on. Everyone was super nice and friendly.
We would definitely come back here when passing through again!

So very good! Our family had the ribs, brisket, and pulled pork sandwich, and each was delicious. As for the sides, my personal fave, the macaroni and cheese, was freshly baked. When the owner sat down next to us for a few minutes to chat, we knew we had found a new favorite. Highly recommended!

Found this lil gem next to the Pilot truck stop. Small place, I usaully call in my order when Im in the area. Staff is super friendly along with the owner Mr. Rochelle, he always greet me when I go there. I always get the Ribs and WOWZERS! Simply amazing, Ive had alot of ribs but this by far is the best, very tender and the meat just falls right off the bone! The mac and cheese and potato salad was ok but the Ribs are definately the show stopper, you wont be dissapointed with this one… CERTIFIED!
Just remember to have some cash with you and theyre closed on Mondays.

My friend and I stopped in and was we ever so glad we did. Hungry and wanting some good BBQ, we couldn’t decide on the brisquit or ribs. Needless to say, we ended up getting both and boy were we ever so glad. Both were very tender. seasoned, and cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend Rochelles if you are looking for some great BBQ. If back in the area, I will be stopping back in.
