This place has amazing food & great prices for the quality/quantity. In my opinion it is much nicer on the inside than it looks on the outside! Don’t judge a book by its cover! It truly is a hidden gem! This is one of our favorite places to go as a family or for date nite!

This is still my all time favorite Chinese food, but I now REFUSE to eat inside due to the loud, obnoxious, new employee(s) here. I can’t tell who actually works there and who’s the friends that are just loitering around. Every time I go in here to pick up or place my to-go order they are very unprofessional and constantly horsing around. The employees cooking the food though obviously hasn’t changed bc everything is still delicious, which is why I still recommend this place. just get it to-go.

This place is the best, and my wife and I have eaten in some of the best restaurants around the country and for fast chinese/japanese food you cant beat this place. It is also one of the favorite places of my coworkers. You can ignore the few posts that post bad reviews. They have no idea what they are talking about. The place can be a bit chilly at times, that would be my only complaint.

This place has always produce quality food, lately service is C– at best, services staff is not professional, food comes out out of sync and cold, my concerns needs addressing quickly or business will fall off

This is seriously the best Chinese delivery I’ve ever had. Hands down. First off, delivery only took about 35 min. Of course delivery times always vary, and I may have gotten lucky. I ordered Hibachi Beef and Salmon. A Dragon Roll sushi. And 2 pork egg rolls. The hibachi was exceptionally perfect. I still can’t believe it was delivered to my door. Sushi was very fresh, slightly falling apart BUT that’s what happens during delivery. Still tastes the same if it was still together. Egg rolls did not have a frozen taste as most Chinese delivery places have. All I can really say is fresh, fresh, fresh. I’ve never even written a Unilocal review before but this meal was so good I had to help them out with a good review.

Pros: Fantastic prices, especially considering that this restaraunt is very much similar in taste and quality to Stix/Shogun type establishments where the Hibachi meal is prepared in front of you. I was very happy that we were a able to order two meals, and sushi for about $ 30($ 40-$ 50+ elsewhere). Hibachi Beef, Hibachi Steak, Sushi Special(including two rolls, salad and miso soup). Overall, our meal was prepared quickly, and nicely arranged. Our waitress was very courteous and provides good service. Cons– it was VERYCOLD(39 degrees according to the thermostat) in the restaraunt, they would not turn the heat on, and it smelled as if the establishment may have a few leaking/standing water issues. This is my only con, and i’m sure they’re working on things.

I literally go there almost every week just to eat their General Tso’s tofu and white rice! It’s my absolute go-to meal!

I desperately want to love this place. I’m not sure if I just ordered the wrong thing, or just an off day for lunch. We called it in for pickup. I ordered the Hibachi Rice Box Combo Lunch no rice extra veggies. The veggies were great. Great variety, however it wasn’t the typical hibachi sauce or veggies. It was really oily and the sauce appeared the be oiled based. The Beef(steak tips) was the best protein. The chicken was actual diced chicken breast but had a almost dry taste. Lastly the shrimp and scallops, were a complete no go. The shrimp didn’t seem very fresh, and the scallops were the size on a half dollar and roughly ¼ of an inch thick and super rubbery. The sauce that comes with is like a take on a Yum Yum sauce. It reminded me of a warm ginger dressing. The inside had a musty smell almost as well, and the sushi counter was cluttered with items on top and the«fresh fish» inside the cooler on display did not seem super fresh. When we come back I will definitely try the teriyaki beef with extra veggies, or the beef and veggies with sauce on the side.

Rice box is really underrated. Good fresh food. Nice mix of vegetarian options and real meat items on the menu. They offer several ways to do their tofu, with the kung pao version our favorite. Their fried rice is sticky and fantastic. They also offer both spring rolls and pork egg rolls. As of this review they had a 90 health rating.

The Good: This is the best location for Chinese vegetarian food. They’re General Tso’s tofu/Honey Sesame tofu is the best in Huntsville. The Bad: The drive through is a joke. I placed my order ahead of time for pickup in the drive through and had to wait behind a customer who was just placing their order. That defeated the purpose of calling ahead. I left and went to their competitor next door.

Had their Hibachi shrimp and my girlfriend had the Hibachi beef. The portion size was great for the price and the food was delicious. It’s nice when you can actually taste the vegetables instead of just tasting oil and soy sauce. We will definitely be eating here again.

Ate here with my wife on 9÷18÷15. We heard the original Rice Box in neighboring Florence, AL was really good and we wanted to try this one. Everything was good: food, service, experience, ambiance, price. We will come back and suggest it to friends, too!

So, I like to try different local sushi places when I travel. I’d dropped someone off nearby & found Rice Box and decided to give it a try. I pulled up on a Sunday at noon & only two other cars were in the parking lot. That should’ve been the first sign that the place wasn’t that good. I walked in and stood up by the hostess stand, waiting to be seated. A gentleman by the sushi bar asked if I was ordering to go or dine in. I told him that I was dining in. He said that he could help me at the counter. I skimmed though the menu & saw a lunch special that was two rolls for $ 7.99. Decided to get that. I ordered the spicy yellowtail roll and salmon & avocado roll. The cashier told me it came with a salad & miso soup. I paid & he told me my would be right out. I sat at one of the tables & waited. The restaurant had an odd smell, a mix of musty, cleaner & some kind of fragrance. About 5 minutes later he came over with my food all packed up in a bag like it was a to go order. Oh well. I took the food & left. I decided to eat the sushi in the car as I waited to pick someone back up. I open the salad & put some of the ginger dressing on the salad. The lettuce must’ve been pretty wet because there was a lot of water in the bottom of the salad container. I didn’t try the miso soup because I don’t eat miso. Onto the sushi. The two rolls featured a lot of fish, salmon & yellowtail. The fish on both rolls was warm, which made me very nervous. The smell was also somewhat fishy. Usually the fish in sushi is chilled because it’s been stored in a refrigerator. I think this must’ve been sitting out for a while. It also had a shine to the fish. I took a bite from each roll & decided to through out the rest. I really wasn’t in the mood to get food poisoning. I’m writing this review a couple hours later & hope that I don’t get sick. There are much better options for sushi. Don’t think because this place has a drive thru that it’s a fast place for sushi. A fast place for food poisoning maybe.

We had the opportunity to visit the Rice Box last Wednesday, to the our pleasant surprise the inside was really nice. Great ambience, and the waiter was nice. We shared to appetizers, cream cheese wontons and steamed potstickers. The wontons were a little on the sweet side and should have been on the dessert menu but still good. The potstickers were however awesome! The only suggestion I have is to get the fried compared to steamed. The filling is awesome but the outside can give a strange texture to some. As our entrees we both got the fried rice. The fried rice was just ok, but adding the dipping sauce from the potstickers took it to another level. Overall I gave it 4⁄5 stars, I could see myself going back

My wife and I were excited to see a drive thru Chinese/sushi spot(we’re new to the area and never seen one). Anyhow, we went through the drive thru and ordered general tso and a Garzilla sushi roll. Although it’s made to order, we waited at the window for 35 minutes(waited only because our credit card was swiped). No update from the employees or anything. Finally, after 35 minutes, we asked if it typically takes this long for an order, and the answer was they only had one sushi chef working that night. It would have been courteous to have been provided that information, we would have not ordered a single sushi roll at the expense of waiting in the car with a small child for so long. There was no apology from the cashier for the longer than usual wait or nothing. Now onto the food!!! The general tso chicken was good(hence the two stars for the overall experience) but the fried rice was mushy and didn’t taste all that great. Now onto the Garzilla roll(spicy tuna, avocado, and spicy sauce deep fried). First, we didn’t receive any avocado at all on the roll. Second, and most importantly, the tuna is CANNED tuna!!! The water wasn’t even drained at all! It was so disgusting, I had to throw it out(taste like I’d imagine cheap cat food to taste). Sushi should never have canned meat. Period. Overall, it wasn’t a great experience for us. The tso was good, so I would return(although I’m put off from the rice). And the sushi… Well I’ll find elsewhere for that, preferably somewhere that doesn’t serve undrained canned tuna).

I give ‘em a four and a half. Anybody remember when Guthrie’s chicken restaurant opened years ago, with searchlight beams in the sky visible for miles? Rice Box is where Guthrie’s was. I think there was a Rolo’s express or something here after that. It’s like behind the Logan’s Roadhouse on University Drive in Huntsville. The building has been greatly remodeled. Outside it is brightly colored, like a little pagoda or something. But inside, it is an elegant Asian restaurant, with black lacquered furniture. I liked our waitress. «I do not speak much Engrish,» she volunteered. That’s true. But with a little prompting, she did fine: My wife told her that we wanted to split our meal. «Sprit?» Share, I explained. Anyway, the food was very good to excellent. Check this place out. They also have a drive-thru. For music they were playing some American pop oldies. Not bad, but I’d have preferred some soft Oriental background music.
