Service excellent. Samosa was fresh and delicious. Seating available outside. Will certainly be back.

The service was awful… Restaurant was half full and staff could not keep up… Music was garbage… It’s an Indian restaurant, play something authentic… no garbage American Radio… But… The food was pretty darn good… Vegetarian Friendly…(yes they have meat dishes too) Flavorful food, without excessive spiciness that sometimes can be too much for sensitive people… I’m sure they can turn up the heat if you ask though… Nice to get a few dishes and share… The staff needs to get their act together, because the food is delicious…

Not bad but definitely not the best. We came on a Monday that we happened to be off and strolled in for their lunch specials. For $ 12.95 you get a good amount of food along with your choice of a soup or salad. Nobody else was there when we arrived but it was also an awkward time(2:45PM). The one waitress was quick to fill our glasses with water but she was hit or miss for the remainder of our meal. I had the chicken tandoori roll which was seasoned chicken with greens, stuffed inside naan. The naan was some of the best I’ve ever had. The roll lacked a decent amount of chicken, though. Which was slightly disappointing. Also our waitress forgot one of our drinks and questioned me when I told her such. This isn’t a terrible place, by any means. The staff could be a bit friendlier and the food could pack more of a punch(both in regards to quantity and flavor) but it’s a decent spot if you’re in the area and want a lunch special.

The food does not taste very good. Do yourself a favor and go to house of india around the corner. The atmosphere at Spice Village is actually better anyhow.

Small restaurant in a great location in Huntington with a super delicious menu of Pakistani and Indian food. I had the Bhindie(Okra dish) and my husband had the chicken korma. The rice and naan were delicious but I do think the best was saved for last. we ordered Kheer — a very fragrant rice pudding dish that was out of this world. It’s somewhat pricey but with the beauty of the presentation and the sophistication of the dishes, it is worth it.

This place is one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been to. The food was delicious, beautifully decorated, well presented, and very flavorful. The ambience was excellent and the staff was friendly and courteous. Also it was very creative with the Indian /Western menu. Even the dessert options were superb. I got the mango chicken which was the first time I had ever heard of such a dish and personally believe is the best thing on the menu. I will definitely return to this restaurant, & I highly highly recommend anyone to try this restaurant out at least once. It is a bit tight so I would recommend calling ahead and making a reservation.

Seriously… I am a tough grader with restaurants. This place earned a «We must get back here ASAP» Award. Our server Amy was as pleasant as she was informative about cuisine that is not exactly second nature to me. Amy’s recommendations were spot on. You must try«Tokri chaat»! It is excellent. As an entre we had«Ginger/coriander Chicken. It was superb. Mr Ali, the chef and owner spent time at our table explaining some of the more exotic nuances of our Mixed vegetable medley. I will come back to this comfortable, friendly culinary corner of ethnic nice spice…“Spice Village Grill»

Came here with a friend after going to the Huntington Fall Festival. A good choice to come here. Ordered my favorite Indian dish, which is saag paneer, which was very good. Was pleasantly surprised by the garlic naan that I ordered. Easily the best naan that I’ve had so far. My friend ordered the mixed grill, which looked amazing. May try that another time going. Would definitely return.

This place has been great, we try to eat here once a month. If you are looking for great food and are in huntington this is the place to go. The food is Pakistani indian. I have try all the apps and most dinners on the menu and yet to have a bad meal. We even take out from smithtown here its that good. Service is great and portions are generous.

I found a deal on groupon and decided to check out the restaurant. It is located in s really nice lively neighborhood. Our server for the night was Rosemarie she was so pleasant and honest about the menu choices. We dined outside while we enjoyed the scenery. Ask for Rosemarie, she will make your experience that much better. The price was also good.

Went there for the luncheon menu and had the Saag Paneer, which was very good. It was served with a saffron/Basmati rice which was just perfect. It also came with a lentil soup which was smooth in texture, flavorful and quite good. A little squirt of lemon brought out the different flavors beautifully. Service was very good and over all… a great dining experience. Would definitely go there again.

Went on a busy Saturday night before going to the movies. This restaurant was recommended by a vegan friend for being vegan friendly, which is very true. They have many vegan options, which my friends enjoy, especially an entrée where you can select 3 small vegan dishes rather than one large one, which we also did so we could sample many of the items on the menu. Spice Village bills themselves as an Indian fusion place as exemplified by putting dried cranberries in the rice. Not my favorite but my dinner partner enjoyed it. I felt the food was really bland, and inauthentic to boot. The lamb was dry and unappealing. The three vegan options we tried were quite disappointing. Service was attentive, which is nice, but can’t make up for a pretty mediocre meal.

This place is small and quaint. The garlic naan is not what I’m accustomed to, but I loved it. My lamb vindaloo was okay. What really got this place the third star was the amazing waitress who explained everything, was very attentive, and brought out different sauces for my date and me to sample. All in all, if you’re in Huntington and craving Indian, this should do the trick.

Spice Village was a fine, if not markedly yawn-worthy stop in Huntington this weekend. The place from the outside seems bigger than it really is, but a little intimacy never killed anybody. Popped in on a Sunday afternoon, not particularly busy. The service was okay, no terribly long waits, but there was a distinct lack of urgency or concern that irked me slightly. That aside, I decided to go with a run-of-the-mill Indian dish to really gauge how they would approach tradition, and ordered the chicken tikka masala.(I suppose that’s really British Indian, but it’s pretty well established in Indian American restaurants). When it came, it was tasty with some underlying heat, but the taste was missing a certain element that could have put it over the top for me. Usually a major complaint with Indian dishes is overspicing, Spice Village could have been accused of underspicing. As far as tikka masala goes, this was more on the blander side. However, the pieces of chicken were cooked very well and were of good size, so it filled me up fairly quickly. The cranberry rice, I expected more of– the rice itself was very good, but when you call something CRANBERRY rice, it insinuates more than a few craisins sprinkled on top of it. Still, the rice tasted fine so I didn’t raise hell about it. Prices were reasonable, though there are better options in the area with comparable prices that would be more fruitful pursuits. Perhaps I’ll return to Spice Village to explore the menu some more, but what had potential to be a really nice culinary experience(the atmosphere is cozy enough for a date, yet comfortable enough to not be accused of stuffiness) became decidedly ho-hum on a lazy Huntington Sunday.

Didn’t even stay lol… not authentic, run by some sort of spanish-speaking people. Manager threw the menu at us and didn’t even say anything and runs to the back.(When there’s no one at the restaurant) the menu had things with avocado and such, glasses were really dirty, place didn’t even smell that indian restaurant smell. We just left to House of India which is one block up and rated best something for traditional Indian cuisine. Both are the same prices.

Small, cramped corner Indian restaurant has very good food. I would rate it higher but service is a little cold, portions are on the smaller side and prices are a bit high. However, if you like good Indian, don’t have that much of an appetite and some bucks to spend, this place is perfect.

They were great at one point but now they are abusing their power. I just paid $ 57.00 for two chicken tikki dishes with one veggie dish with rice. The chicken portion fed one person and the veggie dish was crushed lentils and chick peas. this place is going downhill!
