Great food… get service and the prices are very affordable.

The food and service mediocre, don’t order steaks. It’s so loud you can’t talk so be prepared to just watch the screens. Used to love it when it when it was new, now it’s a pass by for me!

We came here on a whim with some friends. This place is definitely a diamonds in the rough. Great food, good selection of beer and even some live entertainment. Loved it and we’ll definitely be back.

This review is based on several visits over the past few months. Every bartender that I get is attentive, hustles, and does a great job. I’ve tried about 6 – 7 items off the standard menu, and each one has been more than good. Well priced, and well prepared. Not a long wait for food either. Every waitress/server is good-looking, and works hard. They all work quickly, but don’t screw up orders. They dress well, and most of them have perfect asses. The manager-owner is always onsite, and seems friendly? I haven’t talked to him, but others do, and he looks into it. I like giving people my money when they appear to appreciate it. Dave is a good bartender too. I prefer the gals(because they’re hot) but he’s a hustler who ain’t bad looking. This place rips! Always surfing on 1TV, which makes me happy. Lots of sports on! MMA, MLB, Surfing, Soccer, etc. Clean bathroom. Good, friendly people. No riff-raff.

Love this place in HB. Not by the beach but conveniently located off the freeway. Great sandwiches and cold beer. Full bar and nice staff. If I still lived in the area I’d be a regular.

Longboards is one of the go to places at my old work place. Ate lunch here on the last day of our move. This is my 4th or 5th time here. I like the casual and friendly vibe of the place. Service is quick and attentive even when it is busy. The food is good but not amazing. It’s kind of a basic burgers and entrees sort of place with a surfy theme. Nothing thy attributes this place as distinct in terms of food tastes. I’ve gotten a variety of different things from burgers to jambalaya to fish and chips and this time the lobster pasta. It lacked flavor and seasoning. Tasted more cheesy than anything. But overall this is a good place to grab lunch, talk with friends and enjoy basic food. Don’t expect no fancy cuisine lol. Will come back again when I’m in the area.

Amazing place… food is freakin amazing! Lobster bisque is to die for with huge chunks of lobster… or if u feel like a salad… the crispy crunchy wedge salad with blue cheese is bomb! Great juicy steak? Fresh Maine lobster? Oh yea… how bout the surf and turf??? Great atmosphere… tons of t. vs…great service with a smile… and drinks u don’t have to send back to the bar cause its weak… Did I mention they have Sunday brunch every weekend! Live music… Longboards Northside IS the spot…

Had the dinner special of the night(Thur. night) the worst prime rib ever. Our sever was very polite and accommodating, yet one of the worst meals ever. Small group of 6, 3 of us had the prime rib and ordered it different, all 3 came out totally over done, looked like it was«blackened». I was with a small group and didn’t want to make waves so I paid the bill + a 20% tip. Later I received an email from another in the group who invited me and said he was sorry the food was so bad. This might be a fun place neighborhood place for fun, but not for the dinner special tonight.

When we first walked in, I wasn’t quite sure what to think based on the ambiance and décor. Feels like a very small, hometown bar with a lot of regulars, but still, we felt very welcome. Melissa at the bar took great care of us with very prompt and thorough service. We enjoyed the jerk wings(not overly spicy, but with great jerk flavor) and burgers for dinner. The burgers were cooked perfectly, juicy, and definitely worth the price. Very very pleased with our meal. Add on two beers, a pop and our bill was only $ 45. Can’t beat that.

This review is solely for the Lobster Fest Dinner Deal they got annually. I absolutely love it! Not only the price is a steal, it taste great. I seriously went 4 times the last Fest. The place is dated but who cares… I’m there for some tails on a dime! The tails came out undercooked a bit once or twice but I asked them to re-steam them a bit and hmmmmm hmmmmm. So, sooooo good. The head and all. I noticed people around me didn’t eat the heads. Must be an Asian thing? A pity to see them goodies go to waste. My relatives and town must have caught wind of this place too bc there’s even a note in the restroom in Vietnamese,“Please wash your hands”. Thought that was hilarious. We come in herds. Kkkkk Service was slow at times but hey, all the times I came, it was a full house and only 2 – 3 waitresses so I wasn’t too bothered by it. Friendly and did their best considering the crowd. Final thought… Love, love, love the Lobster Fest. Got to try it fellas! It’s good and won’t break the bank.

Awesome staff! Tons of beers on draft! Don’t forget to try my new fav, the bacon jam burger:) They are always updating their food and drink menu. I normally try a new beer each time I go. The tenders here are more than willing to let you sample beers and consistently provide great recommendations. Always a good vibe and good atmosphere here! Thanks!

After the lobster fests in Long Beach & San Pedro, if my Grubbing Buddy and I are still hankering for lobster, Longboard’s is where we go. They have a good lobster fest deal going on for a couple months in the autumn. I love that the lobsters come out HOT! Means they are FRESH cooked! Fresh cooked = deliciously sweet. The lobsters that you get here are smaller than the ones at the lobster fest, but still yummy all the same. They have TVs all around the place, so it’s definitely a place to go to catch some sports. A plate of french fries went by when we were there, and those smelled good(but, when do fries not smell good?)

Came here for the first time And we really liked it! It seems to be a hit or miss depending on what you order here, based on the reviews. Everything we had was good. Bloody Mary’s were good but they were soo weak. Pretty disappointing for a bar! I get it for all those chain type places like Applebee’s. Clam chowder(delicious) Veg sandwich with pasta salad(really good) Breakfast burrito(good) I would’ve given 5 stars if the bloody Mary’s were stronger and if they updated the place. Still has old school signs out front.

I’ve been waiting for Longboard’s lobsterfest meal which I apparently miss every year. The meal consist of 2 Maine Lobsters served w/potatoes and corn on the cob for $ 25. The lobsters are average sized … about 1 — ½ lb. each. My family were greeted and we sat at one of the booths and ordered: (1) Righteous Nachos Fried tortilla chips topped with guacamole, refried beans, salsa, tomatoes, sour cream and jalapeños. A great start to a meal. (2) Cup of Lobster Bisque Eh… it was just ok. Served in a small cup with no lobster. I’ll pass next time. (3) Lobster Meal Forget that $ 2.50 split charge because I wasn’t sharing with anyone, lol. My 2 lobsters were sweet and perfectly steamed. Dipped in butter and you’re in heaven. Don’t forget to ask for the lobster bib. (3) Pesto Chicken Sandwich My son enjoyed his sandwich and french fries. (4) Blue Cheese Bacon Cheeseburger A thick burger topped with blue cheese and maple bacon served with a house salad. Hubby really liked his choice. (5) Lobster Pasta My son’s friend really enjoyed her pasta which had plenty of lobster meat and served with two slices of garlic bread. The Longboard offers a great lobsterfest meal with friendly service. They also have a good happy hour. I’m a fan! 4 Stars!

Friends and I headed over to Longboard on a Sunday morning to catch the 10AM football games. We found seats at the bar that were in a semi-circle, making it easy for us to talk despite all the conversations going on around us. We had a perfect view of all the games they were showing, and fortunately they were showing all the games that were going on that hour. The breakfast menu include two complimentary glasses of either champagne, mimosas or flavored schnapps. I ordered a regular champagne and a raspberry schnapps. My friend wasn’t very fond of the raspberry but I didn’t think it was too bad. The champagne was decent and didn’t need any diluting with orange juice to make it more bearable. I ordered the pancake plate with a side of sausage and eggs. They accidentally brought over the sausage with no eggs and when I pointed this point they immediately brought over a platter of eggs, no questions asked. The amount of eggs they gave me was definitely more than I would normally have gotten with my meal. The quality was pretty decent for a sports bar. I wasn’t expecting a gourmet breakfast or anything and thought the quality was on par with the type of restaurant we were at. This place definitely provided a fun and relaxed atmosphere at which to watch the games. People around us were friendly and rallied to support their teams and all the servers and bartenders that we spoke to were helpful and provided warm and fast service. I would definitely come back to watch some more games!

We come here quite often. We love the convenience and how there’s always room to sit. The food is decent and the prices aren’t unreasonable. Unfortunately, this last visit we were all charged 4 times to our cards. We had a bill totalling $ 68. We wrote down what to charge each card individually on the receipt. When we got home we had each been charged up to $ 75 each. I understand accidents happen but this happened to 3 separate cards. Hopefully they train their workers on how to use the credit card machines. Please check your accounts after eating here! If we come back, we’ll bring cash.

Good service, but the food was ok. Will be back when they have their annual Lobster Special. 1. Bbq baby rack ribs– somebof the ribs were charred and overcooked. Some parts were soft and moist. Sauce had a strong vinegar taste. 2. Pulled pork sandwich– decent. spicy. Good thing there was some Gouda to ease the spice but couldnt really taste it. Too much bread with the onion roll.

For the past 20 years we have been going to the Long board Restaurant on Main street in Huntington beach and we always enjoyed the ambiance, the food, the drinks and the service. My favorite spot is by the front window for some fun people watching! For the past few weeks we have been receiving invitations to visit their new long board Springdale location. So last Sunday we decided to take advantage of the happy hour drink specials and dinner specials. As we entered the restaurant we were greeted and seated by a friendly waitress and by 30 Flat screens showing just about every sports category. The volume was a bit high for my ears and I did not really care for it! The wall décor had a few surfboards mounted to the wall and the fake wave on the ceiling in the bar area. I mean it did not look bad but for being a longtime main street customer I just was missing the warmth of the old place! Maybe this is not fair on my part but I need to mention it. I love a good craft beer and the waitress recommended a Four Sons Ipa called the Hopportunity which was a great choice with a great kick!
My wife is a margarita girl and she was not disappointed, the drink was mean and good and a lot stronger then the drink at main street! Keep up the good work bartender and I will be back for more! We decided to splurge and ordered the BBQ Sliders and the Lobster special and the Prime Rib special1 ! Loved the Longboard sliders with smothered onion and a slice of smoked Gouda cheese on top, Just delicious, the bread was toasted, really yummy! My wife ordered the Lobster special(a little too small) that came with 3 red potatoes .I am a potato guy and I loved the boiled red potatoes and melted butter! The lobster was small but tasty and succulent and we almost ate the shell!
We left happy and decided to come back the next day for the Monday special BBQ Tri Tip Dinner with Fries and Slaw and the N. Carolina BBQ Pork Sliders! Wow I loved the TriTtip with the special home made bbq sauce and the slaw ! The French fries were a bit soggy and limp! I mentioned it to our waitress and she said she appreciated the comment and will mention it to the chef to improve on it!
Overall we had a very good dining Experience and we will be back again! Just to see if the French fried Quality has improved! Secretly I really like the main street place a lot better!

Just over a month ago while we were gobbling down more than our fair share of samples at the Taste of Huntington Beach event, we grabbed a 20 percent discount card for The Longboard Restaurant & Pub( ). So we bookmarked the place and on the last day the card was good for(May 30th) we made our way to Huntington Beach for«Bookmark Saturday» night. While we were driving there, we had the opportunity to reflect on why we picked up this discount card and could not remember the food The Longboard has served at the Taste or why we grabbed the card in the first place. Rohlinism: If you can’t remember why you are going somewhere, you might want to rethink going there! Since we were almost there by the time we realized we didn’t know why we were going, we decided to continue to The Longboard. Upon arrival, we checked out the menu( ) before entering the pub. Once we were inside, we checked in(why did we need a reservation?) and were seated at a booth table. There must of have been at least 20 televisions in this pub and most of them were showing the Blackhawks eliminate the Ducks(better luck next year Matt H.) from the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Our server Nicole came over after we were seated and took our drink orders: Amaretto Sour for the better half and Pink Lemonade for me. The drinks arrived a short time later, but unfortunately the Amaretto Sour was all sour and no Amaretto! I would never expect non-existent pours at a pub, but when my lovely wife mentioned the issue to Nicole, she returned the drink to bar and returned with stronger pour. The menu really wasn’t that stimulating, but we did find an interesting take on Deep Fried Cheese( ) to start our meal. My better half made a good point about the Pepperjack being a bit bland, pointing out the cheese let the chili mayonnaise sauce shine. The breaded panko gave the sticks a really nice crunch. For our entrees, Laina ordered the Pistachio Crusted Filet with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Grilled Asparagus and I ordered the Prime Rib Dinner( ) with Baked Potato. The food came hot and in a reasonable amount of time. My better half liked the pistachio crust, but the filet was cooked inconsistently with parts being the medium she requested and other parts being overcooked. The mashed potatoes were nicely whipped, but lacked the slightest hint of garlic(this is why salt and pepper was invented). The asparagus was not under or over cooked and had a decent flavor. My Prime Rib may look like it is still mooing on top, but it was closer to medium well than medium rare on the inside. I will give them credit for having a very flavorful rub and a good strong horseradish which made it easier chewing my rawhide! As for the baked potato … it was a baked potato! It was hot and came with butter and sour cream. Not sure there is any other way to describe it. Service was good for a bar /pub. Nicole was friendly, helpful and check on us several times during the service and refilled my lemonade without having to be reminded. If you read my reviews, you know I loathe bar food in general. If you keep your expectations on the lower side, you can get a decent meal here(for a reasonable price) and most of the servers seemed like they were on the ball. Forget about ambience and the crowd seemed like a pretty good mix of age groups, so no one should feel out of place here.

Good place for a burger, beer and to watch sports. Been here a couple of times; Lots of great TVs and you see any of them from all over inside restaurant. Burgers — Good Tri Tip sandwich — Terrible, worst I’ve ever had by far. Bad flavor, fatty, chewy meat Buffalo Wings — Just ok Jerk Wings — Not good Chicken Tenders — Just ok Service — Always good with a freindly staff You make the call…
