This place offers plenty of parking, easy rental process and reasonable price($ 15 per day). My boyfriend and I rented 2 beach cruises and rode along Huntington Beach. The bikes were easy to ride. The guy at the shop was easy-going and friendly. If you’re looking to rent a bike, I’d highly recommend this place!

Shop has some awesome attention to details. Definitely check this place out if you’re out on a beach ride. One of the best in customer service from what I experienced.

I just finished my second overhaul on my road bike after I did the first one a year(or ~7k miles) ago. In addition, I had my chains, cables, cassette and bar tapes replaced. The job was perfectly done within 24 hrs on a weekend. Service was great, as usual. The staff that helped me was PJ, super friendly and nice guy. Charge was very reasonable. Highly recommended!

I brought my beach cruiser in with the handlebars falling off and Garrett fixed it while I went to the gym and even shimmied it in my car for me :) I will definitely come here anytime I have bike issues or need something. Super clean and great customer service!

My bicycling partner and I really, really like this bike shop… For purchases and repairs. We are two women, and I’m honestly going to admit that we don’t know enough about bike repairs considering how often we ride. We have been all over Huntington Beach for different emergency bike repairs, and then we found this shop. We will NEVER go anywhere else now! They always do the repair expertly and fairly. Not once, unlike several other local bike shops, have I felt like they were out to gouge me. Their prices are fair, their work outstanding, and besides that, they are just the nicest guys. Take it from someone who has gone to every bike shop from Seal Beach to Newport Beach, this shop will treat you the best in every category!

Rented a beach cruiser for a couple hours. Cost $ 15 flat. For one hour or the whole day. It doesn’t matter. It’s $ 15 flat rate. The cruiser rode well. I wish they had a basket for the handle bars so I can take my various items with me i.e. bottle water, sweater, beach stuff. The beach bike path is across the street and behind the beach homes. it’s not far. You must cross a busy street that has a cross walk. Once your across the street the fun begins. *Note– when bike riding don’t forget to bring sunscreen, a hat, iphone/itouch/whatever device you use for music w/earbuds.

First time buying a road bike, I visited many LBS to get a feel for what the owner/workers were like. Most places I visited were either very pushy to buy or didn’t really attend to my questions and needs. This was til I went to OutSpoken and met Derick. He is very friendly and genuinely cares about your ride experience. He got me a great deal on a Cannondale that included a professional fitting. I’m happy to start building a relationship with this bike shop even though they are 25+ miles from my home. I recommend this bike shop to all my friends and to you too! Customer service is great and you won’t be let down. Go check it out!

High end bicycles at high end prices. I told them I’d like something under $ 500 and they said ‘no dice’. They were no-nonsense and helpful nevertheless, so I give them full respect for that.

Sometimes, stopping in at a bike shop can be an expensive and daunting experience… not here! The employees were quick and helpful with our rental! Prices were very reasonable, bike rental was cheap! We got a beach cruiser(looked brand new) for $ 15 for a 24 hour rental! It came with a bike lock and a helmet.

Came across this shop as my friend and I were looking for bikes in the area to rent and the one we had Unilocaled had closed down. I was pretty upset but luckily the worker at Out-Spoke-n saved the day! He said they had just gotten two bike rentals back and were available to rent for a mere $ 10 for the whole day! They brought it out to the front for us to try, adjusted our seats and sent us on our way The beach cruisers were so easy to ride and kept in perfect condition. We rode probably only for 2 hours along the bolsa chica trail in huntington beach but I can’t wait to come back and ride it for the whole day. I would recommend this store to anyone looking to buy or rent a bike. Just be sure and call ahead as they only have a few rentals at a time but it is such a steal of deal for 10 bucks!

I’ve rented bikes here before. Hassle free, reasonable prices, and quick. Don’t know if they still run the option where you can redeem your bike rental receipts towards a bike purchase. Thought that was pretty cool. Recently came by to get a new tube installed on one of my bikes. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Very reasonable prices and very diligent work.

Derek and Pj were awesome. Patiently worked on my bike, did not try to sell me expensive upgrades or replacements and work to find the simplest inexpensive solution.(PJ spent hours on it) Nice, good people here. Thank you JOe

Great customer service, amazing atmosphere and wonderful people. I decided to go riding this morning, before the rain, but as I hit Sunset Beach I got caught in the gnarliest downpour! I killed time in a Starbucks, but that was getting kinda boring so I looked up «bike shops» on here and Out-Spoke-n popped up and it was in the same shopping plaza I was in! SCORE! When they opened, I was greeted by Derek and we chatted for a while. He was totally cool with me hanging there to wait out the weather. Because of his hospitality, I went back later and picked up some things I needed to clean up my bike. His is the only shop I will go to now in the LB/OC area! Also, another cool thing I found out today, is they let you demo saddles! For a downpayment of $ 20, you can demo their saddles for 5 days, and if you like it, you can order it there and that $ 20 goes towards the purchase!

Nice shop. Went in to buy a $ 175 saddle. Asked if I could demo it first. They said ‘No’. I felt it wasn’t good business not allow a demo on such a substantial investment. I won’t go back.

Great place, great customer service! Came in on a late Saturday afternoon for a new bike chain. They were busy but took care of me, no problem. Been to a few bike places in the area and I always return to this this bike shop. I would definitely recommend!

My sorta«Local» Bike Shop Experience As the economy get’s tougher for small mom n’ pop shops to compete and thrive against big box retail stores, It’s vital for small business to offer exceptional service and niche themselves to the point where price point isn’t the only thing a customer looks for. That’s how I feel about a great shop called OutSpoken Cycles. I’ve been in the bike industry for a few years now, both as a customer and being behind the register and I think these guys have it right. Derick Tan and his crew go the extra distance to provide exceptional service as well as competitive prices. Yes, Big Box retail stores have that guarantee where everything you buy you can return. But let’s face it, it should be more than that. Economics is simply not about just the numbers, it’s both qualitative and quantitative. A LBS(Local Bike shop) can thrive by providing exceptional service, but it’s a two way street. Customers need to be responsible and not abuse the system. They also need to understand that sometimes it’s too expensive to stock an item for a small shop and have to special order it. Expensive parts just sit and create slow inventory turnover which is just sitting depreciating capital. Final Verdict: I got my Hard Tail, CAAD10, and got my FIT at Outspoken Cycles and this is a great shop. I also Call them my «Local» bike shop because I live in Burbank and They’re in Huntington Beach… They’re worth the drive. Thanks guys!

I was referred to this bike shop by a friend, as soon as I walked in Derrick was extremely helpful and answered all my questions. Needless to say I bought my first roadbike that same week, and all has been awesome. The staff is attentive and they all remember your name(which impressed me a lot). So this is the only shop I would use from now on. Thanks guys for all the info and support on my first build.

Last night, 04÷11÷14 @ 1845hrs, I stopped off at Kings bike shop in seal beach, in dire need of a jacket and to my dismay they were pretty much closed, I think the locked doors and the store hours posted on the door were a dead giveaway. I found this place on Unilocal and raced over before they closed. Low and behold when I arrived, Michael was working hard on a bike, keep in mind I only needed a jacket. Michael was very helpful as well as courteous. I knew I found the right spot by his professionalism as well as knowledge about the bike that caught my eye. Remember I only needed a jacket. Well here we are on Saturday, April 12, 2014. I just finished my first ever bike fitting on the«guru» and am ready to test ride what might be my new 2-wheeled steed. So, here we are at 1741hrs and I have a new 2-wheeled steed. THANKYOU!!! Michael & Derick. You all rock!!!

I need to give them accolades for creating such an inviting cycling subculture. I mean, how many bike shops have couches and barstools for you to relax in, and an open-fridge policy for their regular customers? That aside, The bikes/accessories they carry are quality, and they back everything they sell. I’ll explain it like this: If you want a TGI Fridays kind of quality and service, then go to a Performance Bike Shop. If you want to go where everyone knows your name, «Cheers» kind of place, then come here. PS — Be wary of Elite Unilocalers on here. I’ve noticed that there’s often an agenda when they bash on places with otherwise good reviews.

I only have excellent words to say about this local shop, and one of my favorites. You couldn’t ask for nicer, more helpful, and kind people, Derick & Dominic. I am lucky enough to have some floor space there to showcase my product under the name elle B see. Thanks a bunch D + D !
