Very musty and moldy smell. Dripping air conditioning with buckets to catch water. Also, first room impression was cool design and then the cockroaches came out to share the sentiment. It was a total rip off at $ 183 a night. Very disappointing.

Do NOTSTAYHERE!!! The pictures of the hotel on the website are very miss leading! The hotel lobby is very nice but once you go up to your room you will start noticing the grotesque of how run down the hotel actually is. We got to our room we found stains on the bed sheets and towels. There were roaches on the walls and rusty pipes. We went to the pool area and the pool was very cloudy and stinky. The hot tub just had concrete no tiles. once night came there were women of the night going to rooms. Many foreigner staying there. It was very disappointing. we checked out and went to a Marriott.

Huntington Beach Hotel is very modern and clean. Their recent renovations makes it a great hotel for the modest price. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Stay at this local Hotel when the need arises.

Got a room for the night. Easy check in and remember to put a permit in your car for parking! It’s a nice hotel, the faucets were rusty and a bit faulty but no biggie However, upon waking up this morning I noticed red bumps on my left arm. BUGBITES. Nasty. They do have candy at the front desk though. Almost made the bug bites itch worthwhile. Almost. Update: found more bug bites on the left side of my body. Left side was the one on edge of bed

This place needs a serious facelift. Run down, thin walls, loud ass housekeepers arguing and slamming doors at 8am, beds suck and they overcharge. Even the area where you check in is a mess. So pissed my work sent me here. Never coming back!

Probably not as bad as many of these reviews would make it seem, although those reviews seem accurate. This is a 2 – 3 star hotel with the façade of a 4 – 5 star. Seeing as my room was about $ 20 more than the 1 star hotels down the road, I’m not going to trash the place for it’s poor maintenance. I saw no roaches or other bugs during my stay. My main problem is no fridge in the room. As a beer drinker this cramped by style, and I had to come up with multiple makeshift options to get by. Outside of that, the water smelled like acetic acid, a distinct vinegary smell I associate with photography dark rooms. I wouldn’t drink it, and was concerned I smelled like it because of the showers…

We came the Sunday before Easter to beat the crowd :-P Located across the way from Bella Terra, we feel lucky to have found this place for Sunday brunch! We’ve been here twice. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Good food & the mimosas are flowing ;-) Seafood: Crab legs, salmon, shrimp cocktail… They have an omelet/waffle station. They have a variety food selection. Sunday Champagne Brunch pricing as of April 2016: Adults: $ 32.99 Seniors(65+): $ 29.99 Kids(5 — 11 yrs. old): $ 19.99 (I think) Sunday hours are 11a-3p

So I can see what many are talking about when it comes to guest service. The girl that helped us was a little sassy. Nonetheless I actually like this hotel. The room we booked was lovely! I like the king bed room with a little area that has couches. Very roomy! And we had a great view.

No! No! No! We stayed here last weekend as we were traveling for a convention, and the location of the hotel was in close proximity. I had read reviews of others prior to booking, and decided to give it a shot anyways. The hotel lobby is nice, and upgraded. Upon entering, it appeared there were some restaurants/bar within the hotel– which we thought was nice and convenient. I had learned when I booked the room prior, that the hotel included a Peruvian restaurant which had great reviews. We love Peruvian food, and had studied the website’s menu. We were initially very excited! This ONE star is for the service at the front desk that we had received checking in, checking out, and also for when we contacted them once for additional towels.(We were passing through the lobby from shopping across the street, and had asked for more towels since our room only had 2 bath towels for 3 people). The stars end there. The room is small. The updating that this hotel has completed was obviously done on a budget. The walls in the bathroom had obvious damage from previous moisture issues. The bathroom had one sink, a toilet, and a shower. The shower was very slow to drain(no one wants to stand in dirty water), and the shower head was so low, you have to duck your head to rinse off. The rooms are small. We got one with 2 double beds. The beds are old mattresses placed on platforms. Each bed has 2 small pillows that were too soft. Mattresses were very uncomfortable, and made it difficult to sleep. The rooms contain no refrigerators, and the décor/furniture left something to be desired. Additionally, it felt like there was absolutely no air circulation. Back to the in-hotel Peruvian restaurant: There’s no sign identifying the restaurant. No one offered to help after watching us walk the lobby a couple of times. We decided to chance it, and walk into an empty restaurant. A man came up to greet us, and we asked if we were in the right place. He said we were, and he was flustered– his mind was obviously not with us. The restaurant was EMPTY, and we chalked it up to arriving at opening time(on a Saturday night mind you). After he sat us, we were handed small paper menus that had only a few dishes offered. When I asked if we were handed the correct menus, they said yes, and that they had slimmed down their offerings recently in January. I asked why their website as not updated, as it had dishes listed that we were looking forward to ordering. No one had an answer for that. The server was really nice, but took a long time to get us drinks(it’s like she disappeared into the bowels of the hotel to retrieve each thing, and each trip back to the table seemed to take an unusually long time). After about 20 minutes, my family decided that we would eat elsewhere. We apologized to the server, as it was not her fault. We paid our bill for beverages and left. Mind you, in the 30 minutes we were there– not a single customer showed up. Now I know why. All in all, such an awful experience. Will not return. ***One thing to add: throughout the day and night– hoards of foreigners were shuttled there t check in that had just flowing from LAX. Now, there’s nothing wrong with visitors– but just thought it was weird for them all to show up at the same hotel at all hours.

First of all to start the ONLY reason they got 1 star is because I could not leave this review with ZERO stars. I have to say this hotel must not need the business as their catering and events manager Chris… will NEVER return calls or emails. I have been trying to reach out to them for MONTHS to book an event at their hotel for my High School reunion for about 250 guests. here it is 5 emails, 12 voicemails and NOT one response! I even left a voicemail for he hotel manager, NOTHING! So if you are considering an event for this hotel… save your time and money! Brides… mark them off your list. You will be so stressed as there is NO communication at all.

ROACHES!!! Our first room had a roach crawling across the counter!!! Front desk was NOT surprised! While sheets look clean, mattresses were stained and old!!! Bar is cute, but a bus load of foreigners got dropped off when we arrived and checkin sucked!

DONOTCOMEHERE!!! Zero stars, I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. The service is terrible and the staff is incredibly rude, manager included. I was finishing up my shower when the manager was banging on my door, rushing me out of the door claiming that I was late to my check out time, mind you this was a little before 11am. And when I brought this up to the manager, he dealt it in such a rude manner. Instead of trying to resolve the problem, he told us to leave and to never come back! Never have I ever been treated with such disrespect by a hotel MANAGER. I will never be coming back to this place & I strongly advise to everyone else to spend your money somewhere else. According to their staff, they don’t need our business. Absolutely unacceptable.

We were assigned to the 8th floor. The room was small with two full beds. There was no refrigerator or microwave. No fresh air circulation. It was dark. Bathroom drainage was horrible. The elevator wasn’t working. My son and husband have to take the stairs down. The exit door was closed. We have to crossed the basement to the lobby. I made a complaint the front desk and was assigned to the 7th floor which is considered an upgrade. The room was a bit nicer. The hallway smell as if you were in the hospital. Nothing premium at this hotel. The lobby is nicely decorated. Other than the lobby everything is old. They used cheap stuff to renovate. The location is convenient for dining, movie theater, 24 Hours Fitness, and close to Little Saigon and the beach.

Don’t book here! My company booked this hotel because it’s in the same parking lot as the corporate office. They had also been told that the hotel had done a complete renovation to all the rooms. Apparently they were misinformed. The lobby area is nice, but the renovations and cleanliness stop there. From the elevator ride up to the 4th floor to the two roaches in the hallway and ants in my room alone, I can I say that would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Then add the water pressure and drainage issues in the shower. It literally took 10 minutes to wash shampoo out of my hair. Oh, and If you are taller then 5’5″ I hope you are flexible because you are going to be doing backbends to get under the shower head. My coworkers experiences were even worse than mine. Two had roaches in their rooms. One had crumbs in her bed and holes in her sheets. Another tip, the buffet breakfast is not worth it! $ 13 for crummy coffee and burnt bacon. It’s a 5 minute walk to Starbucks. You’ll spend less and be more satisfied.

Stayed here for a 12 nights. Wound up only sleeping there for 9 of them as the rooms suck. Everything feels dirty and the TV is over the air and takes forever to change channels. The AC is a loud wall unit type and the light switch for the bathroom is behind the door so you have to enter, shut yourself into the dark bathroom and then turn the light on. The bath itself drains very slow. The biggest problems were the noise(walls are paper thin) and the lack of room service(you can go down to the bar and order food and wait for it before taking it up.). But the bar is only open til 10 on weekdays so no late night options. The hotel is a zero star. The two stars come from the fun bar. Lots of regulars who immediately will include you in their group. Bartenders are personable and friendly. I will definitely frequent the bar from here on in.

This review is the Sunday champagne brunch. Gustavo and his staff are amazing. Our champagne flutes were never empty. Multiple servers came around to ensure we were always good. They are so attentive. The food is amazing, especially if you like seafood. I will defiantly be coming here on a regular! Highly recommend it.

This place sucked. Small rooms, paper thin walls, rude staff, sub par furnishings, grimy bathrooms, roaches in bathroom. I was watching a TED Talk on an iPhone at 75% volume and got a «noise complain» at 10:30! Like I was throwing a raging party. Ridiculous.

I personally did not stay here but a friend of mine did and since she doesn’t have Unilocal I am writing about their experience for them. My friend and her boyfriend had come from Nevada to visit me and had stayed at this hotel before and loved it so they decided to stay again. The first room had blood stains on the sheets and there were«happy stains» on the couch. They proceeded to complain and the manager took them to another room and when they got inside they had to use the bathroom and noticed graffiti was scratched into the bathroom mirror. There were also what looked like oil from a face marked on the wall as if someone had been having sex against the wall. They spoke to the manager and he offered the first room and said they would get them new sheets. Later that night they had come back to the room after dinner and the sheet was the same and when they called room service no one was going to be available until the following morning because apparently there’s no over night staff. They also learned the bathroom lock was broken and the AC needed to be fixed(which the man later fixed). At the end of their week long stay the manager did in fact give them a return of most of their money but then proceeded to put them on a «do not return list» as if they were the ones who had messed up the parts of the room they complained about. No wonder the hotel is so cheap. Next time they will be staying somewhere else since apparently they have to.
