Overpriced cafeteria food… cool people but food is extremely subpar. Super bland and forgetful. This Outing was a disappointment.

I’ll have to pass on this place. The prices seem high for what you get. Also be prepared to wait. There was only 1 other guy in the place & it took 15 minutes to get food. As I was ordering my food the cashier kept putting her hands down her shirt to scratch her back then wiped her nose. 2 seconds later I saw her prepping food and drinks without washing her hands. I read other reviews where the same thing happened. They should be wearing gloves food prepping cause I was so grossed out. I ordered my sandwich to go and asked for mayo no mustard and when I started eating guess what only mustard. I won’t ever return to this place.

$ 10 dollars for a sandwich! Yikes. I got the turkey on squaw bread. It was alright, I think I’ll have to go back and try some else. It didn’t seem worth the hefty price tag. 3 of 100 challenge.

Tried the Michelle’s turkey! It was delicious! Fresh squaw bread and tons of meat and cheese! Also tried sue’s chicken avocado caprese sandwich! This was such a good hot sandwich with so much flavor! The ciabatta bread was so soft and fresh! The staff was beyond friendly! Can’t wait to go again! Also the sandwiches are huge!

By far the best sandwich shop I’ve found since moving to HB. Better than Dori Deli or any of the other fancy places that are a $ 40 lunch. I was even able to order a sandwich just like my favorite sandwich back home!

Stale food slow service and inability to listen to a requested order asked for no avocado and it looks like they added extra and the chili Mac was disgusting tasted like can chili and like warm. I’d pass on this one

The place gets busy during lunch, but the food is great and service is also great. If your ever in the area I recommend getting a sandwich from them. I had the Sue’s Chicken-Avocado Caprese and it was good.

Great breakfast menu, and was very delicious. Found this gem while walking my dog waiting for my car to be serviced at Trinity around the corner. Love the ambiance! Very, comfortable and inviting. The counter gal was very friendly and accommodating. My breakfast burrito was fresh, tasty and perfect portion! Coffee was hot and fresh ta boot! Thanks! I’m sure I’ll be back!

Yep, Deli-licious is as amazing as everyone else describes. Nooooo doubt this is one of the best deli places in HB, if not in OC. HB seems to be the home of the deli(sub-culture, huckleberry’s to name a few) and Deli-licious lives up to the hype! I went over in the late afternoon, and my first recommendation for this place is to put some lights around your sign, it was difficult to locate at dusk, it’s on the east side of Gothard, just south of Heil st. Walking in, I really liked the Xmas decorations, and the lady who took my order was very pleasant, and was patient with helping me make a decision— The pastrami reuben sandwich was just awesome. What I like is they used leaner pastrami, not that fatty meat you get at these diner hybrid restaurants. The meat obviously has quality, and you can taste it. The meat is cooked in some olive oil, and if you look at the pic I posted you can see how the oil seeped into the bread, it was PERFECTLY balanced. With extra pickles, light sauerkraut, and soft bread, this made a 5 star sandwich! I also got a turkey sandwich on squaw bread with extra cucumbers; it was perfectly balanced with sprouts and just delicious. The portion was healthy, and worth it. Expect to spend about 7 – 10 $ per sandwich, and I am really looking forward to coming back. The Hype is real!

Solid Sandwiches served with warm smiles. HB certainly has it’s fair share of mom & pop restaurants, and that is a great thing indeed! After reading my recent review of nearby Huckleberry’s Unilocaler Dan H. implored that I try Deli-licious next time I was in the area. The opportunity presented itself the very next week and I found myself within the comfortably kitchy confines of Deli-licious. The menu is extensive and offers just about any combination you could think of and several you probably couldn’t. I decided to go custom; Deli-licous offers your choice of Boar’s Head quality meats then the sandwich is made with your cheese and bread options, toppings, and condiments. All sandwiches are served with a side of «Sue’s Macaroni Salad». I went with turkey, pepper jack, sourdough, tomatoes, lettuce, sprouts, cucumbers, onions, pickles, and mustard. All of the ingredients were both fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed my lunch and it was easy to see that all of the food is prepared with great care. On that note — it should be said that the people working at Deli-licious truly love their jobs and take themselves seriously when it comes to both the customer experience and preparation of their dishes. This is rare in todays world of instant gratification and I could tell by the amount of locals in line that the staff knew by first name Deli-licious is beloved by the northern HB food scene. It was honestly great to see that this can still happen. I cannot wait for my next sandwich at Deli-licious and I appreciate the great luncheon steer from Dan H.

Ingredients are great quality. The menu has lots of options and very creative items. The only downside is that it can take a while to get your food, and it’s pretty pricey. I go when I have time and money to spare.

Been here a couple of times before and each time it just gets better and better. It’s the kind of place I always recommend to my friends because the food is consistently good and doesn’t disappoint. Food: I got the chicken avocado caprese and my boyfriend got the pulled beef Philly style and we shared an order of fries. I’ve always been a fan of the caprese here and again this place did not disappoint. The chicken is seasoned perfectly and the avocado and veggies taste so fresh. I also really liked the pulled beef Philly style because the mushrooms were SO good. We dipped the pulled beef in BBQ sauce and it was 100x better. Their fries are also really crispy and seasoned very nicely so they made for a perfect side to our great sandwiches. I’ve also had the French dip in the past here and was not disappointed either. Overall the sandwiches are VERY filling and yummy. I always come home with a little bit of a leftover because I always come out totally stuffed. Love the variety they have which allows me to try something new each time and each time it’s good. Location: It’s in a small ish plaza and you might miss it because all the places around it look business-like but there’s plenty of parking and lots of seating inside so no worries on that end. Service: VERYNICEANDVERYHELPFUL. First time I was here I had no idea what to get but the staff patiently walked me through their favorites and helped me make a decision. So so so nice. YUP I’LLBEBACK! And I highly recommend you give it a try if you’re in the area. :)

I haven’t updated a review for what is now referred to by me as «The Deli» since 2011. Time to update! …mostly I’m just gloating about my duchessness… My amount of check ins should speak for itself. I can’t get enough of the deli. What’s new since 2011? They’ve expanded. Their food is better than ever. I discovered their meatball and it’s my current obsession. I also really love their patty melt, grilled cheese, and roma italian. And of course the staff here is freaking amazing. And one of the cooks in the back is super easy on the eyes. I love the deli!!!

The food was delicious(hence 2 stars instead of 1); HOWEVER, the cleanliness/health standards are scary… The lady who rang me up(older blonde lady) kept using her fingers to wipe her nose. She seemed high on some kind of drug. Anyways, I ordered Mac & cheese & she used her bare hands right after ringing me up to sprinkle cheese on top of my food The other lady who made my sandwich(taller thick brunette lady) had greasy hair. I watched her bring out another guest’s food and as she walked away she scratched her head with her bare hands. She was also clearly high on some drug. I heard them half-ass washing the dishes in the back as I ate. I heard them rinse, wipe quickly and throw it onto a drying rack. Why did I eat the food you ask? Bc I was rly hungry. I just hope I don’t get super sick and/or die now. yikes…

Pretty solid sandwiches. Im very happy with the Michelle. I really like the use of rye bread. The chicken caprese is really good too especially because you can really taste the basil in the sandwich. The fries and chili are really good with the mac and black beans. I just wish it was served more hot. so that the cheese melts. Mmm. :)

Deli-licious has converted me to a sandwich fanatic. When hubby suggest a sandwich restaurant for lunch, I typically give him an O__O eye roll. Umm, a sandwich is a «snack» for me… not a meal. However, today… hubby and I stopped to pick up a sandwich at Deli-licious for sonny boy’s lunch. The quaint restaurant is whimsical and very entertaining with all of the personal pictures and postings on the walls. We were greeted by a young boy and then I believe his mother Michelle who took my order at the counter as follows: (1) Taylor’s Famous French Dip Sliced roast beef cooked in au jus sauce, with provolone cheese on a hoagie roll, served with a side of au jus. Sonny boy luved his sandwich which was full of juicy roast beef and a great tasting au jus. I had a bite and thought it was better than the famous Philippe… oh, and don’t forget the horseradish! (2) Daniel & John’s Hoppin’ Homemade Fries With Chili & Cheese Sonny boy luved this side dish. The homemade fries and chili were yummy, abundant and complimented his french dip sandwich! A winner! (3) Michelle’s Turkey Turkey on squaw bread with mozzarella, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, sprouts and avocado with a caper mayonnaise. Hubby and I shared the sandwich since we already had lunch but had a lil wiggle room. OMG, the sandwich was so huge… I had to take two bites to get the entire sandwich experience. All of the ingredients worked so well with one another… I luved the different textures and flavors from the savory turkey to the crunch of the cucumbers and that caper mayo was decadent. The BEST fresh and tasty turkey sandwich ever… oh, and they use Boar’s Head deli meats and cheese! I had a 5 Star experience at Deli-licious which serves great tasty sandwiches in a friendly and inviting atmosphere. I’ll be back to sample their other menu items.
