I always get the Chicken Pad Thai. I just do. It’s that good. I’ve also had their drunken noodle and pad see ew(spelled it wrong, didn’t I :/). Both were amazing. See, this place does it all well. I just happen to love the flavors present in an order of chicken pad Thai, so, sue me bro! They also only take about 10 minutes. Or less! Seriously, don’t dawdle on getting to the location for pickup if you want it fresh in the plastic to-go box.

I SO wanted to love this place, since it’s right down the street from where I work. I’d been craving Thai food for months, but was having a hard time getting off work in time to make it to my favorite Thai restaurant by my home in Anaheim. So tonight, I gave Basil Thai a try. In addition to their serving portions being half of what other restaurants are(for the same price), the food I ordered(Orange Chicken, Thai Fried Rice) was as tasteless as can be. Maybe I ordered the wrong items here. Usually when you bring take out food home in your car, you can at least smell it. Not tonight. No smell, no flavor. I won’t be back. :(

We just moved to the area and this was the first place I tried. Food was ready quick, staff was nice and friendly, food was great! Had the chicken cashew :)

Came in to this restaurant to place an order to go. Ill start with the service because it was horrendous. I ordered the yellow curry with chicken and the shrimp fried rice. The order was placed with one of the girls behind the register and was brought out to me by what appeared to be the manager after roughly ten minutes, which is reasonable. As the manager approached me she realizes the order might be wrong and asks me what I ordered, so I tell her shrimp fried rice and yellow curry with chicken. Turns out they made chicken fried rice instead of shrimp fried rice. no big deal mistakes happen. Manager takes the order back to the girl behind the counter and tells her they got the order wrong. So I’m thinking they are going to replace it ASTHEYSHOULD. Instead the girl behind the counter denies the fact that I order shrimp and insists that I ordered chicken. The manager tells her«no I heard him order the shrimp» and goes back to doing something else. I sit around for another 10 to 15 minutes thinking they are going to bring out my shrimp fried rice. As I wait I see the girl behind the counter tell some other girl that I ordered chicken and not shrimp. So the other girl from behind the counter comes over to and says«can you just take the chicken fried rice»… at this point I’m furious so I just take the chicken fried rice and curry and leave because I don’t want to wait around for another 10 to 15 minutes. Now to the food. The food was ok, not terrible but not great. The veggies(potatoes and carrots) in the curry were undercooked and the chicken in the curry was a little over cooked. Ironically, the chicken fried rice that i didn’t order was pretty good. That being said definitely not eating here again.

Wow. Wow is all I have to say. I don’t understand how this place stays in business with such unprofessional, unintelligent workers. We placed an online order via Unilocal, there was no delivery charge. Apparently because our home is 4.1 miles out of their 4 mile radius they decide to cancel our 45 $ order after half an hour of waiting. AREYOUKIDDINGME?! As a small business owner how does this make any sense? Your telling me your driver cannot drive 0.1 mile more for an order ??? Stunned. Lady on the phone had no business mind, doesn’t care about anything but the«4 mile» policy. Unbelievable. Do they know how many Thai food restaurants deliver in the area ?! Once again. Stunned. Good luck ordering from these degenerates. So sad because I am a a supporter of mom and pop business but this one is just– stunning. In the worst way possible.

Came here the other day while I was in town. It’s a small(but well kept) spot in the strip mall with Trader Joe’s. I ordered the Exotic Fried Rice with chicken and it was amazing. It wasn’t overcooked and the flavor was on point. For me it wasn’t overly spicy so I added some chile sauce to it. The customer service was also pretty good(but I also sat down to eat right when they opened). Not sure how it gets during night time. It looks like they do a pretty good amount of take out/deliveries as well. If you’re in the area and are feeling some Thai food, you should def try it out.

Average Thai food… They charge $ 5 for delivery… Fresh salad wraps were good but way overpriced. You only get 2 for almost $ 7… Pad Thai was not that good, noodles stuck together, lacking some flavor.

It’s pretty disappointing to call in and ask for delivery like I usually do and hear I can’t order anymore because«I have to many problems». So what had happen was I found chicken at the end of my vegetable eggplant dish. And I’m a vegan. I called to make the complaint with a calm manner explaining how I felt it wasn’t not cool to find that in my dish. So the person who I was talking to mentioned I had a pad Thai dish that they owed me that I forgot about. So I asked if they can bring that too. It seemed like someone got mad and they told me not to order there anymore because«I have too many problems.» So I got my eggplant without the pad Thai and without the brown rice and Thai tea I requested instead of the pad Thai which is cheaper. Now I’m in the same situation where I need delivery(this spot is 5 min away from my house by the way) and can’t order delivery from this restaurant. I feel really discriminated. I order delivery almost once a week and just had problems vegans go through. But hey I guess now I’m liar and crook right in their perspective…

«Meh. I’ve experienced better» is about right. I keep trying out new Thai places in HB but I find them to be so unauthentic tasting. Pad thai was fine, pad see eww was bland, and their tom yum soup… don’t even get it. It didn’t even taste sour or spicy how it’s supposed to taste. Lunch specials are a great deal for $ 7 but I’ll pass.

I haven’t ate in but only pick up or delivery. They manage to great quickness and freshness which is why this is my go to place when I’m feeling Thai. Their dishes are perfectly portioned for its price. I recommend the spicy eggplant, drunken noodles, crab fried rice, and of course mango sticky rice. You get to choose your meats of beef, chicken, calamari, or tofu on most dishes. It’s all very flavorful, there’s a lot of basil as their name suggests! They use a lot of onions and bell peppers sautéed to perfection! Don’t forget to add a side of rice!

How is it that this place got 4⁄5 stars. Must be a lot of people who does know about Thai food. I give 1⁄5 stars. They call there number 55, «Thai boat noodle,» if this is the authentic Thai boat noodle than I must not know what Thai boat noodle is anymore. Just a suggestion to the owner, you should change the name to, beef noodle soup instead. Coming to this place hungry but left the place still hungry with a lot of disappointment. What’s worst is them speaking in Thai thinking I don’t understand, Thai. Back story, I order Thai boat with the big noodle. They brought my order with small noodle, saying it usually comes in small noodle. I said I understand, but I ask for big noodle. So the lady brings it back and speaks in Thai, they said they order it with big noodle, server saids, they didn’t tell me that. So I play it on and just waited. In my head, I was thinking they are just going to take out the small noodles and put in the big noodle, using the odd broth and everything else that was originally in the first bowl. Well thats exactly what they did. This is poor service. This place was over price too.

Good curry and pad see ew but it is the most expensive thai fast casual/takeout around. We Have had the curry(9.95) with Shrimp(+$ 2) +white rice($ 2)(the curry is not included multiple times and it is consistently excellent. My wife goes with pad see ew and she always loves it. They offer free delivery in a 4 mile radius of their restaurant with only a $ 15 min order which is a great perk. in comparison, Banh Mi Che Cali(vietnamese restaurant with a handful of thai dishes) on brookhurst and talbert where you can get shrimp yellow curry with white rice included for $ 6.99(more than half the price)! 3 stars for the nickel and dime charges for white rice which is included everywhere else with curry.

Delivery service via Unilocal was awesome. Fried rice was good too. However, I just found out their currys does not come with rice. It’s a separate order. :/

Ordered yellow curry($ 9.95) and rice. It arrived within minutes! Awesome! Only negative thing is paying for a side of small rice($ 1.50). I just feel that rice is just a given when your’re having thai food, but that’s just me. The curry is tasty and chicken was tender and the portions are more than enough(it’ll be lunch tomorrow) Restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. I came before rush hour dinner so it was pleasant and enjoyable.

Healthy and delicious. Not greasy. Your favorite Thai dishes prepared the way I LIKETHEM!!! I always love and appreciate good friendly service, and that comes with your delicious food! I think I could have lunch here daily. Nothing wrong with that, right?
