We only stayed over night but overall it as a pleasant stay. The staff we had contact with were very pleasant and helpful. The room was pretty clean and the pool seemed nice. The complimentary breakfast had many of choices and was quite tasty.

Maybe it’s because I expect very little in a hotel room to begin with — just give me a decent bed and temporary living space and I’m good to go — but I can’t say I’ve ever had an unsatisfactory experience in a Comfort Inn; this past weekend at this particular hotel was no exception. I checked in to this hotel while attending a weekend event in Rockhill, PA, and was happy from the moment I walked into the place. The staff were extremely friendly, and when you walk in you can clearly see a small dining area to one side where they serve a free continental breakfast each day. For a free meal the options are fair — plus, there’s a Sheetz that’s practically next door to the hotel down the road, so an alternative breakfast(as well as gas, which you’ll inevitably need after driving to and from any major venues around this part of the state) isn’t too far away. My room itself was spacious, very clean and well maintained; I actually slept very, very well during my entire stay here — which is pretty impressive since I never sleep well in beds that aren’t my own. The heating/AC system was a REALLY good one, too — it would kick in and get the room to the temperature I wanted within minutes! All of the rooms here also include wi-fi, a fridge, a microwave, Keurig machines and k-cups. I especially appreciated their wi-fi, which worked very smoothly — none of the hiccups and problems I usually experience with hotel wi-fi networks. There’s a pool and exercise room here, too, but I didn’t get to either of those; after spending long days out in the cold for my event, I would just want to climb into bed when I got back to my room. I did admittedly run into a couple problems in the bathroom. I would periodically have to fiddle with the toilet to get it to work properly — nothing major that required professional intervention, but you could kind of tell that they weren’t exactly brand new anymore. One other fairly minor drawback I ran into was that whenever I showered or took a bath, periodically the water flow would slow to a trickle for a few minutes, pick back up for a while, and then repeat the process. I’m not entirely sure if this was a hotel issue or more of a local water pressure matter. It was more noticeable when I was preparing a hot bath and it took longer than it usually does to get a decent amount of water into the tub. But really, this was not the sort of thing that would ruin an experience, so it’s more just something to be aware of if you plan on staying here than anything else. One more thing — there is a train line that runs right next to one side of the hotel. Now, I wasn’t bothered by this at all(I find trains in general fascinating and the horns, whistles and sounds of their wheels on the tracks are more soothing than anything to me), but I did see a number of complaints regarding this matter on other sites while I was researching which hotel I would book my stay in for last weekend. If you’re worried about this noise, you can actually mention your concerns to the hotel when booking your stay — they’ll do their best to put you at the other side of the hotel, where you’ll be less likely to hear too much. All in all, I definitely recommend this Comfort Inn; any problems I did run into can barely be considered problems, were easily fixed, and I’m sure would have been addressed by the courteous staff promptly if I’d felt the need to call them. If I’m ever in the area, I’ll be sure to consider booking here again!
